Beware - Do not let the salesmen fool you

Our Shoptech E2 Software was installed about 5 years ago and we would highly recommend the software package. The parts of the software we use most often are Order Processing and Shipping. During the past 3 years we have become ISO 9001-2008 Registered and using the Quality Module of E2 was a vital and useful tool during that time. Shoptech technical and customer service have been outstanding. Also, the initial software training and additional training after the software was in use has been exceptional. Highly recommend the software product and the E2 support team.

Great product for a manufacturing/job shop company.

What a horrible product!

I don't know what product the other people on here are reviewing. We have had nothing but problems with E2.

We recently upgraded to the E2 Enterprise System and have spent more time on the phone with E2 customer support than with actual customers. We have had issues with our old version of E2 for years so we finally upgraded to the new system and it seems as though things have only gotten worse.

We are just beside ourselves. If you really scrutinize your data you're not going to be happy. If you want an easy to use reliable system, then look elsewhere.

Simple, user friendly, sometimes time consuming or strange glitches

We implemented the E2 Shop System in 2006. With proper planning, the implementation went quite smoothly. Even if you want to change some of your set-up after the fact, you can do it. The system is very flexible in that regard. Our employees were able to catch on to the E2 Shop System quickly. Product updates are easy to install and the customer support is great. We use all of the modules daily except the scheduling/whiteboard because our jobs are usually very short. We will probably be adding the RDS module before long to assist us with ISO certification.

At JIT Global Enterprises, we have been using the system for ten years now and it has revolutionized the way we do business. From quoting to order entry to invoicing, E2 makes it a smooth transition. Four years ago we added the quality module and it has greatly improved our maintenance of our ISO Quality System. NCRs and CARs are linked directly to the jobs in the system and that creates a nice electronic trail for traceability. At this point, we feel we are using about 85% of what E2 has to offer and couldn't think of how we would cope without it.

Best support team I've had

We have been in business for over 50 years and have used E2 for the last 5. We were pleased with how easily the software integrated with our already well established processes. The implementation was step by step with help available if needed. The best thing I can say about the software is that we hardly notice it anymore. It shows up to work everyday just like the rest of us. There is minimal maintenance which is probably why the few times we have had to call for support, the is little to no wait and the problem is resolved quickly.

Not at all what was expected

AT FIRST WORKING ON E2 I WAS A LITTLE NERVOUS. AFTER THE EASE OF USE I WAS HAPPY

Before purchasing E-2 Shop Tech we were using Vista/Epicor. One of the reason for purchasing new software was ours was 10 years old and we wanted a window based operation. One reason for purchasing shop tech was the cost fit our budget and it was very user friendly. We were able to get started with out any training. We did have training eventually, and that was a big help with the problems we were having, however, we did not need to have days of training. The customer support is excellent and they are very patient with us.

E2 has been great for our shop

We are a manufacturer of custom magnetics and transformers and have used E2 for about 4 years. Our experience with the people at Shoptech consistently exceeds expectations. The software is stable and easy to learn. The system is can accommodate just about any situation that we have encountered.

Before E2 we used homegrown systems which were difficult to maintain and very limited in their capability. With the implementation of E2 we have improved our capabilities and have better information to operate our business with.

E2 Shop System Review

This software is a life saver, I wish the graphics would be a little updated, but other than that it does exactly what it needs to and more. So far I have not found anything it cant do that I need. Very great product.

We used a competitors system for 10 years before switching to E2. My biggest regret has been not choosing E2 when I made my first system purchase. After all these years of software quirks and poor tech support, E2 is allowing me to trust my data and focus my time on running my business rather than maintaining a flawed system that allows errors and corrupt files to constantly hamper productivity. I can confidently say E2 has paid for itself in the first year solely with the time is has saved my management staff.

We are a job machining & hard chrome plating company. Prior to 1997, we were using a manual accounting system. Since then we have been on the E2 Shop System. This program has worked well for us. Over time E2 Shop System has continued to improve the software, and it has been relatively easy to use. However, there are many features that we have yet to take advantage of. When we have needed technical help, Shoptech has been available and helpful. I hope we have provided some relevant information. Thank you!

With the implementation of E2, we have been able to have a start to finish manufacturing system. Prior to E2 each department had an individual system of getting the job done. Thus creating lots of paperwork and a costing nightmare. We appreciate the ease working with the software from quoting/order entry, labor reporting, costing, shipping to the syncing of receivables and payables to QuickBooks for our accounting.

E2 was definitely worth the investment of time and dollars.

Using E2 with ease.

We are a manufacturer specializing in small assemblies. E2 has been a more effective software than our old system. It is very easy to use, and easy to train new people on. My favorite thing about the software is it is easy to make changes on. The customer serivce is great. We have had very few problems and have been using the system for 10+ years. We have never thought about changing systems. We are very pleased with ShopTech E2 system and would highly reccomment it to anyone.

We found E2 to be user friendly and a great management tool. The reports available cover most management needs. No major issues and would suggest only minor tweaks to some features. Much easier to use than our old software.

Moving to E2 from our previous ERP system which was DOS based was an excellent move for us. It is much easier and simpler to use and includes options for Quality Management, Time Keeping and SQL backend access, all of which were huge selling points for us. We have used them as well to create a custom application to make doing our Job Routings much easier and has decreased the workload of several employees. It has been a great purchase for us!

Fairly easy to use. There were a lot of options that we didn't have any training on. It probably would have been more useful with additional training.

E2 Shop System is the easiest, most user friendly software available. It helped our company to become more profitable, meet on-time deliveries and organize our quality system. We have had E2 for 11 years; the company output has doubled in that time and the system enabled us to do so. Without it we would have been without the necessary information on job costs, profitability, planning, real time data and overall control of our business.

We run a Machine shop company that would not run as smoothly as it does without E2 Shop system. I have received phone calls from other companies asking me how E2 Shop System works, before they make their purchase. I even had a small seminar here at the shop once to show them how well it worked and how it ran. The company at the seminar ended up purchasing E2 Shop System. I will always recommend this software. We are a small manufacturing machine shop. E2 has been a perfect fit for order processing, job travelers and meeting our shipping needs. It was an invaluable tool during our recent auditing to become ISO-certified. The customer service is outstanding. Recently we needed bar-coded labels and the custom order software team was able to meet our needs. We continue to be impressed with the E2 software and their customer service.

A good program for businesses such as machine shops, job shops, etc. doing most of their orders or work on fixed job orders and shipping mainly by UPS or FedEx

E2 shop system

E2 has allowed us to capture real time data from the shop floor with a few clicks of the mouse. It has streamlined scheduling of customer's orders in a busy job shop atmosphere. We never had this level accuracy regarding times charged to jobs. Also our inventory of raw materials is accurate and reliable. Estimating is extremely fast and easy. E2 has improved the overall efficiency of our operations.

We have been using E2 Shop since February 2013. The implementation went really well. The support and trainers are awesome.
The software is easy and very functional. Everybody is able to learn the basis of the software with very little training. We love it. Customer service is very good.
