and the customer service is a plus...... my implementation specialist makes me feel like I have nothing to be worried about. even when I have little to no idea how to utilize the software to gather certain info. great job guys

I have recommended E2 to others that need an integrated system. There are drawbacks, but they can be worked around.

E2 Shop System has been great software to run our company for many years. We first began with them in 1994, and presently we are operating with version 7.2. Our recent update was performed after many years. We upgraded our server operating system to Small Business Server 2011 and felt it was the right time for us to freshen up the software. The E2 support staff made our job so easy; the update was in place and operating in no time at all. We are a steel rule die cutting job shop. Using the E2 Shop System we process customer orders, control shop operations, and manage our General Ledger. We have 10 active users on the system. Transactions are handled easily and reports are friendly and practical. I would highly recommend E2 Shop System.

We at SWF have been using E2 for many years now and it has meet all our expections and more. As time passes, we learn more on what E2 can do to keep us organized and up to date with tracking on time deliverys and material lists.
We are very happy with the reports it can give us.
It is very user friendly; all our employees are trained on the system and work with it through out the day for many different reasons - from signing in and out, logging onto jobs, and tracking material.

We have bee using E2 Shop System since 1997. We jumped around from program to program and were not happy with the way things were going. After going to a show and viewing several manufacturing software, we had it narrowed down to 2. We did some more research and decided to go with E2 Shop System. The people at the show seemed to display E2 in a way we thought would be best for our business. After purchasing it, we went to Cincinnati for training, which was well worth the time. We have been using it since then and have grown with the business and have purchased more seats. The support is good with friendly and knowledgeable people. It is working well for us and we will continue to use it as our business grows.

We purchased E2 in 2005 for a 1/1/06 implementation. We had previously been using DacEasy, which was not meeting our needs. The implementation of E2 required much planning but was relatively easy. Even if you make a mistake, it can be corrected. We've always used the accounting side of E2 and shortly after our implementation, we added the data collection module.

E2 is easy to use and it was easy to teach our employees how to use it. The software updates are very helpful and we really like the drill-down capabilities of the reports now. We also like that we can export reports straight into excel and email directly from E2. We are currently on version 7.2.12 and looking forward to version 8.

E-2 is a great partner in Manufacturing!

We have been partnering with E-2 since 2006! For 8 years, they have made a great addition to our ISO Audit process. The audits usually take just a day since the auditors find all our information so well documented and organized using the E-2 Quality Module. We also just recently updated our server and network infrastructure. There was almost no downtime due to the quick, responsive and very helpful specialists in customer service and technical support. We were able to push our data from the old server to the new server in a matter of minutes with the help of this great team!
Looking forward to many more years as we continue to grow our business with the partnership of Shoptech Software and E-2.

We decided in 2004 to invest in a shop floor control program. After reviewing several companies we chose to go with the E2 Shop System. Our main reason for doing so was it's ease of use and uniformity throughout the different menus the software offers.

After implementing we immediately began seeing benefits. In particular, the use of individual time tickets to track performance by not only the employee, but also by work center and shifts worked. When re-quoting jobs we are able to not only see past performance but also past quotes which may or may not have been won. The time we save preparing quotes alone easily justifies our investment and the customer support is second to none in my opinion.

E2 software program

E2 is a great system that is very user friendly it is well laid out and not intimidating.
One of the great things is to be able to have multiple screens open at 1 time.
Being able to enter things on the fly instead of having to follow a rigid process.

Some of the reports give too much information that is not required or others with not enough information. More options on the reports would be beneficial to help get the information you want to see however there are ways around it using crystal reports etc.

We like how E2 is laid out in terms of the shop items versus the accounting side and then there is quality. Accuracy and diligence in entering information makes E2 very successful.

I have worked with a number of very popular ERP system and served on a few ERP implementation teams. I can tell you first hand that most cost more than they were worth and implementation costs were never recovered. E2's Shop System is a comprehensive suite that is easy to implement, navigate and their support staff are extremely knowledgeable & helpful. Anytime I need help with a feature of have a request for a custom report the person answering the phone is usually to help me on the very first call! It is extremely user friendly and requires very little training. It is a powerful tool that helps manage all of our business requirements from Accounting to Production for our growing company!

We are a custom precision machine job shop and have been using E2 Shop System for over 12 years. Prior to E2 Shop System we had purchased another software product and after 6 months of trying to learn the system we had to give up due to the complexity and lack of effectiveness. Once we discovered E2 we knew right away we've found the right system to run our shop with. With the ease of use and excellent support we were up and running in three days and never looked back. We are using all of the modules, which give us controls over quality, delivery, processes and profitability. We have 10 seats of E2 Shop System and honestly I don't know how any shop can exist without a system like this.

We are a large manufacturing plant located near Seattle in Kirkland, Washington. For over 25 years we’ve manufactured aerospace parts, medical components and a large variety of complex parts for an equally varied clientele.

We purchased the E2 Shoptech software a number of years ago to help our shop operate more efficiently. The software design is well thought out and the architecture is sound. It completes all business needs beginning with quotes and ending with customer statements. And there is a wealth of capabilities in-between.

The technical support, which is located in the USA, is very good. And they even follow up with written instructions for future reference.

E2 is a great system overall, (in comparison to old system, no contest) Need more in depth training or suggest to have someone like Karla to come in and ensure that you are setting up and utilizing the system 100%.

I work at two companies one of which is a job shop and the other is a production shop. Both companies primary focus is Aerospace. What I love about JobBOSS is its flexibility, ease of use, and JobBOSS’ commitment to their customers. JobBOSS’ commitment starts before the sale and continues through the implementation. I have worked with several software companies throughout my years and to date haven't found a better technical support team that’s totally committed to exceeding expectation.

JobBOSS is one of those companies that are continually developing their product and they do a great job of listening to their customers and implementing changes that matter!

We evaluated several systems and thought that E2 would suit our business well based on the overview we were given. We knew that there were some short comings in the Quality area over higher priced systems, but were assured that we could work around the issues and that some of the new releases would address some of our concerns.

As with any system you can never be sure until you roll it out and begin truly working with it. We encounter more issues on a daily basis than I could have ever imagined. When you call for tech support and ask a question you tend to get every answer except for the question that you asked.

I am completely disappointed in this software.

I use E2 Shop System for 2 companies. King Industrial Corp. is a tool and die company for the automotive industry, and King Wire Inc. does Wire EDM work. We have had E2 for many years now. E2 Shop System is very easy to use and learn. Updates to the software are easy to install and you don't have to get bigger and better equipment with every new update. That was our main reason for switching many years ago. The software we had before always had to get new computers to do an update and that was just too expensive. Any time I have a question customer support is always able to help. I am very happy with E2 Shop System software and would definitely recommend it.

E2 is an very very good system. We have used it for approximately 8 years and still do no utilize all of its capabilities - which is our issue.

The system is actually easy to use, but like any new program each user simply just has to get used to using it. Once they do, it is logical and navigates easily. E2 is updated frequently and most often the updates are in response to user suggestions which is a very nice feature.

Customer support, both sales and technical, are responsive, knowledgeable, accurate and pleasant. And the person you first get on the line is generally the person that will solve your problem or answer your question.

Insist on a 6 month free trial, these people do not understand manufacturing at the job shop...

I believe that this software is vital to our shop. I would recommend to any shop out there.

Commonwealth Tool was using multiple applications to track job costing, scheduling, routing and quoting. E2 was the only ERP solution we found to combine everyone’s work into a central system. You see, Commonwealth Tool does not typically operate in a production environment, and that is why we chose Shoptech. Most ERP programs are geared for production. While E2 does a very good job at this, it can also handle one-to-one products, which is what we needed. We are custom machine builders and each and every job is unique. The support from E2 has been outstanding and without wait times. The software is also easy to manage from an IT standpoint.

We been searching for a ERO system for a long time, most of the programs were not suitable for...

I recommend E2 for any organization planning to improve their operations.

E2 Software has been a very good thing for our business. We hopped around from accounting program to accounting program but was not able to track job costing or estimating. When we started to look for a manufacturing program we went to a software trade show and talked to the guys at the E2 booth. We became very interested in their product. After purchasing it, we went to a training session to learn about how to use it within our business. We now have been using it since 1998 and found it to be a very easy program to learn. The support is great and they always seem to answer my questions immediately. I will never change programs again.

I'm relatively new to manufacturing software so this has been a great learning experience for me. Currently, I only use a few of the modules but have been surprised at how detailed the entries must be to get out of it the information and reports that E2 can generate. I'm looking forward to more exposure to the various other modules as well as to participate in more E2 online classes.

We have used the system for 16 years and does more for us them any other system we have looked at. E2 does almost everything well.

We are a custom Manufacturer of rubber washers and gaskets. We specialize in precision, tight tolerance work. We were looking for a new software to help us run our business more efficiently and accurately. We were using a system called SBT, which was outdated and took much more time to use. We updated to E2 in 2006; implementation took about 6 months to a year. The transition was pretty smooth.

We have been happy with our move to E2. The customer service department is always great when ever we need help. They are knowledgeable and responsive. Our move to E2 has helped us become more efficient and accurate.

Our company primarily fabricates custom products, as well as having a distribution division. With over 40,000 available products, the sales ordering system is complicated, and E2 is able to handle all of it. The inventory functions work well. The previous accounting system was overly customized and outdated. Even with the leap of several IT generations, E2 was easy to learn. Implementation was non-eventful. The programming staff was especially helpful in producing customized reports. We have had excellent customer support for the basic training in sales order receiving and accounting (we are syncing to QuickBooks).

We are a small custom manufacture requiring quoting, manufacturing, and inventory tracking of numerous custom BOM's. We shopped/tested a variety of software solutions before purchasing. E2 Shop System was the closest "fit" for our needs and, as a bonus; it didn't cost $150,000 or more, which wouldn't work for us anyway! All the modules work together seamlessly, and we absolutely love the software across all users and departments. The customer support lines are knowledgeable, and usually able to assist on the first call. Any call backs needed are prompt. The help papers are written in an easy to understand manner.

I am the AS9100 Lead Auditor and Document Control personnel for a composites company in Oregon. While there are some beneficial uses as an ERP system, I don't find that the Quality Section is nearly extensive enough for document control functions. It is great for electronic disbursement, however its functionality for controlling documents is very limited.

Before E2, I used to pull 3 reports, labor, material cost, and sales; and then try to combine to get job costing. E2 Shop System software does it all for me now; I can see right away how we did on a job and can look at the time allotted to jobs while they are in process. With a job shop like ours, you have to know what your real cost are, and with E2 you can do that and so much more - quoting, backlog summary,employee time tracking; it's all there. E2 is a great system that I would highly recommend.
