The built in tracking is quite nice and they make it very easy to configure. Knowing not only opens/clicks but unique values was great.

Nachteile

SendGrid won't let me upgrade my account, even after verifying domains and waiting months. Support was hard to find and completely non-responsive.

Vorteile

Being able to automate email notifications was a must-have for our product. SendGrid made this easy through the use of templates and easy-to-understand documentation. We have been able to use templates or modify them through the code editor to suit all of our needs.

Nachteile

Like many others, the customer support for SendGrid has been the biggest drawback for me so far. Otherwise, the only other issue has been managing unsubscribes if the user was responding to a message sent to a distribution list or group alias.

Recently, I started a side project and I was looking for a service to send emails from my database. i found some apps but SendGrid caught me. its simplicity, the ease to use, and the clean design made me choose it over others. It is very easy to configure and has support for many programming languages. It literally took me about 10 minutes to configure everything and send my first email.

Everything is ok for now, I've not found anything wrong.

I received an email that email account might have been compromised. I responded to the ticket, and heard no response even after two attempts to reach out and follow up. I ended up having to reach out via Twitter and finally got some support.

The thing that I like most about SendGrid is that you can upload your list instantly, they don't ask people to optin to your list which is great, you get a 30 day free access and you can send 40000 emails during that time and add up to 2000 people to your email list.

Nachteile

They have a lot of functions which means a learning curve, you have to set aside some time to learn all that if you wish to use it to its full capacity.

For a beginner, the free plan offers 100 emails/day, which is alright to get started. Besides, SendGrid offers API and Webhooks in all their plans, including the free tier, which is highly appreciated. The setup process is relatively easy, and the email delivery rate is decent. Overall a good tool for email marketers.

The essential plan doesn't have email validation functionality, which is a bummer!

Email campaigns are executed very fast, there is no delay. This is very useful in capturing drop offs. Integrations with CRMs are also super useful.

The only missing feature is forms that can be filled inside the email. For that mailmodo is the go to tool.

It is very simple and intuitive! I know where to find things and how to set things up without having to read some help menu. I love how the campaign stats show a visual graph of how many people it reached, how many opens, bounces, marked as spam, etc. The individual campaigns are easy to set up and it looks very clean and easy to manage. The option to export the stats is also very helpful when it comes to reporting and tracking purposes.

Nachteile

I haven't quite used it enough to find all the inconsistencies or lacking features. But I have noticed that unless you are extremely careful with what contacts you upload (CSV) and how you create your segments, you could have a bit of a mess with whom you're trying to email your campaign to. It would be very easy to accidentally send the wrong email to the wrong contact if they happened to fall under the criteria for a different segment.

Have a lot of emails to send out and need them to end up not in the spam folder? SendGrid solutions is a great option to send out multiple emails with the software needed to not be considered spam. I am able to create templates that can be emailed on a schedule and automatically sent to multiple emails.

I asked for help getting my account set up, I wish the set up process was more user-friendly.

- API is good, not great. Can be a little confusing and some functionality is a bit tucked away.
- Would be appreciated if privileges could be restricted a bit more. For example, you can limit an API key to only allow it to send emails, but you can't control much about what emails are allowed to be sent that way.

Sendgrid have many functionality which are very easy to use. We can send Transactional/ Promotional emails, newsletter etc and can be sure that these will be delivered in inbox. The support response is really very good. This is very simple to integrate in our backend system also.

Nachteile

As I used and found no issues yet. Another side price is bit on higher side.

It provides powerful features for transactional emails and has a nice UI, so the whole experience of being an user is easy and without any hassle!

The only thing that troubles me is the support staff as they fail to follow up on the issues and support is an area where SendGrid can improve a lot.
Also, my shared IP's do not pass the spam checkers and get flagged often as spam.

Sometimes you need to send out a TON of email and you don't need any frills. The pricing is reasonable. The platform is simple. The reporting works.

Your visual edit works and it does a pretty decent job pulling out bad emails.

There's a TON of room for improvement. I would love some additional custom fields when it comes to sorting my data. I think you need to find a better place to put your "lists" inside its own menu. I've often spent minutes trying to track down where a new set of uploads has gone or struggling to find the right place to do the upload in the first place.

You allow for scheduling but not running sequences based on the reactions. I would LOVE to see far more advanced functionality in the future.

I started with a free trial of 200 sends and then tried to send an email to a big list. I signed up for the paid account, but it was a pain to go back and sort out what addresses had received the email and which had not so I could send out again to the remainder of the list.

There is SDK available to implement send email functionality in C#. You can add file, pic and documemt to send email. You can send dynamic html and plan text to email. You can see email activity from send grid portal like email status, bounce emails, fail emails etc.. Portal UI is very clean and easy to understand. Thanks to sendgrid to provide me a lovely tool.

As we started to scale websites on our server, we started to see many issues with transactional emails bouncing. After a very quick and easy implementation with SendGrid, email issues are a thing of the past. It was dead simple to set up and now we can track all of the metrics for transactional emails being sent from our server! Such a lifesaver!

This service has excellent prices, I'm using the free version and I have 40000 free mail + 300 mail a day to use.
I'm using it to send emails with a small e-commerce and i think that I'm going to stick with the free version.
