I like the fact that one can easily create customers, vendors, products, and services in QuickBooks Online. We also have an easier and convenient way of adding specific product and service information such as unit cost, and graphic description of the products and/or services by uploading an image. As a non-profit, QUickBooks Online allows us to customize our system and use appropriate accounting principles that are specific to our organizational needs and existing policies and legislations. Remote access is also another great feature of QuickBooks Online, we can easily and safely access our platform from the convenience of our home, this has been really helpful for our team–considering that we work from home.

Nachteile

It can sometimes be confusing to delete or recuse an entry. It would be helpful to have user friendly options for entirely deleting an erroneous entry.

Vorteile

QuickBooks offered great customizable invoicing and payments options for our company, as well as third party integrations that were key for our growing company!

Nachteile

We found QuickBooks to be costly as we grew as a company and needed to add to our package

I like that you can access it from anywhere - as it is an online platform. It makes the ease of use seamless. I also like that you do not have to worry about product updates as they are done automatically.

In my opinion, there is not anything I don't like. The help features are great and there are always tips and tricks for better maneuvering.

QuickBooks Online is such an amazing tool to use as a small business owner. I've had times where I wasn't at my desk to run payroll or submit an invoice and was able to get the job done right from my phone or iPad. QuickBooks Online has even saved me during tax season to quick send out W2s to employees in only a matter of minutes. This is a trustworthy and reliable software that only continues to get better.

Nachteile

I don't have any cons to QuickBooks that I can think of. It really helped me to understand my business and run the reports I need.

I use Quickbooks Online for personal work and expense tracking. Most of my projects are billed time on time spent on the project proportionately with the overall project. I struggled in trying to workout this kind of billing with several other accounting softwares and Excel templates became a bit limiting for me. Time tracking in Quickbooks is very helpful especially for tracking time spent on different tasks and projects. With the customizable timer feature, I am able to customize the timer to fit each specific task, include additional notes and descriptions for each entry documenting the nature of the processes involved etc. The time tracking feature is available as well on a mobile app which easily allows to track time on the go. Finally, the customizable reports allows me to see how much time I have spent on different task and how much I have invoiced for that time.

Nachteile

I think the main challenges I have found with the time tracking has been sometimes getting the billing accuracy. This has been because all the tracking is not that automated meaning any simple error can go unnoticed and affect the overall billing. Additionally, it is not highly customizable to fit almost all projects and sometimes I am forced to use other tools to manage the project.

Quickbooks Online is relatively easy to use, therefore, I have been able to execute several accounting tasks efficiently. Moreover, I can access Quickbooks Online with my phone, which allows me to perform financial/accounting tasks from anywhere at any time.

Nachteile

Quickbooks Online is a good accounting software, however, it has some drawbacks. One drawback is that there is a limited number of reports that can be generated using Quickbooks Online. Another drawback is that customer support for Quickbooks Online is disappointing, since the customer service representatives do not respond to queries or issues in a timely manner.

- As a single-member S-Corp consulting business, QuickBooks Online was more than enough for me to manage my own finances and payroll. It's extremely friendly for non-accountants.
- At the end of the year, you will easily find many certified QuickBook accountants who can do your business taxes by simply inviting them to your account
- Large community with many Q&A available in their public forums. If you run into unusual situations, the community will help you correctly record it in your account. They're friendly to beginners and those who are not familiar with tax laws.
- Lastly, most impressive, when I decided to shutdown my business. QuickBooks Online had a feature to export all of your finances and records! Other competitors who I had tried in the past, had only "import" feature and then they lock you in by not allowing you to export or view your records unless you pay the monthly subscription fees. QuickBook has really impressed me with this ethical mindset.

Nachteile

- I was unhappy that they somewhat made it a hassle to reach support by making it available via phone only. With busy schedule, I appreciate writing my inquiries via email and forget about them to focus on my other tasks. QuickBooks Online forces you to call support by phone for inquiries
- I believe their pricing needs to be updated with rise of competition, especially for payroll features.

Everything is very similar to QB Desktop which we were already very familiar with. The transition has been nearly seamless and has allowed some of our managers to transition to fully remote work much easier.

On my previous job, I worked as technical support of quickbooks. Wherein we troubleshoot all concerns of our quickbooks customers. The company gives us the privilege to use quickbooks for free.I have an online business back then. And quickbooks online made accounting easy for me. I love the idea that it has a dashboard that summarizes everything - invoices, expenses and profit. You can generate report for you to compare previous month's sales, expenses and profits. In short, you'll have a system/ application that will help you manage your business.

Since I just have small online business, I think quickbooks is perfect for me. It satisfies my needs.

I like that I can access the program from anywhere. Being on the road makes it difficult sometimes with other programs, however, the online QB is easily accessible from anywhere.

The capabilities are limited compared to the desktop version. From time to time I need the full desktop version and not able to access all services with the online version. However, this isn't a full negative, it's just a small challenge. I would still rate the product high because of its convenience.

This software is easy to use and easier to understand. I use it regularly during my work week and it's absolutely magnificent!

The only con is that sometimes, customer service isn't as easy to get in contact with in the rare occurrence that there is a problem, but in many cases, I can't just YouTube the issue and fix it. Please understand that I am nothing that could be mistaken for Tech-y. It's just that easy.

All the different filters that I can customize. If you can think of it, there is a filter for it. This really helps me whenever I need to go in and do payroll

Sometimes the menu selection isn't as obvious as it should be. Sometime I go through multiple tabs when looking for something

I use Quickbooks because it integrates directly with my Etsy store and makes it much easier to track all expenses related to my store. The best feature for me is the ability to scan receipts, and also forward invoice emails to a specific Quickbooks email address, which will scan the email and add total charge to your expenses.

Nachteile

It can take some time to set up effective rules based on your expenditures, and sometimes the automatic scanning doesn't work perfectly, which requires some manual intervention when scanning receipts, etc.

I've been a user of QuickBooks for a while and although I am a fan of "don't fix it unless it's broken", I do enjoy this version. It's easy for my team and I to use to track expenses, track overdue payments, create invoices, and handle payments. I like that there are online videos to teach people unfamiliar with the program how to use it efficiently.

Nachteile

I feel it is not as robust as the desktop version, and that there is a different learning curve to trying to do it all online, but that can be easily overcome in time. In the rare occasion QuickBooks Online does maintenance or goes down, it can really grind work to a halt.

We could use QuickBooks to track the financials of a specific department of the University, by replicating all the numbers from the report of the whole University.

Sometimes it was hard to understand the all the accounts, codes, ledger. Because we were not adding real transactions, but replicating what the system was showing in the reports, we couldn’t use the right items for everything.
