'Power' is the Key Word!
PowerPoint has been our 'go-to' for many years. It's used weekly to create presentations used in worship services. We create training presentations to go along with a video for new employee training.
Vorteile
Easy to create powerful presentations. Being able to line up graphics and text boxes is very helpful.
Nachteile
At times it seems a little cumbersome to resize text boxes and images. Features like 'snap to grid' may be helpful.

I've been using powerpoint for years and I have always been able to wow people with what I can...
Being able to use a presentation tool to the best of my ability and also making it my own to stand out from other powerpoint presentations.
Vorteile
There are a lot of hidden features that you can go in and look at. I love putting animations to my slides and making my slides play videos automatically. There's so much to learn from powerpoint and it's crazy how much people don't know about it.
Nachteile
I like being able to export the powerpoint as a pdf file, but I wish it could be saves as a booklet so you can print it out a different way other than printing it all on paper with certain pages and lines on them.

Prefer this over the google version. Great features and layouts, and very easy to use.

I wish there were a few better functions when it comes to creating your own template, such as a way to crop a photo into certain dimensions weather it be round or square.

I loved using this back when it was still popular.
It was the best thing to use for presentations for school until Google Slides came along.
Vorteile
I loved using this product when I was younger back in elementary and middle school, and it was easy to use and you could make some really good stuff on it.
Nachteile
It's outdated and has better competition, such as Google Slides. I liked using this before Slides was a thing, but they've failed to make a comeback.

Nachteile
For more aesthetic presentations you are better off designing in another application and porting in a jpeg or pdf instead of the built in tools

PowerPoint is a great software to let you either build a slideshow from a template or from scratch! I love the fact that there are so many different customizations that are selectable when building a presentation. This definitely helps when creating a stand out presentation!
Nachteile
The software may be a little difficult for end users that are not very comfortable with computers. Because of all of the customizations that can be done, I could see where it could be difficult to learn. But, that is also why it is so great that there are so many templates to choose from!

As far as finding a good software to help get your point across I believe powerpoint is unmatched

I've been using Microsoft Powerpoint forever, Word/Excel as well - it's just awesome.
Great design, readability, user-friendly and easy to use. If you want to make a good presentation with the best tool for it - don't hesitate, use Powerpoint.

Very content with my use of powerpoint. It can be a very helpful tool to share and communicate.

I love its ease of use and nearly ubiquitous understanding of how to use the software. Everyone has used powerpoint or at least knows how to use it.

I like the collaboration of google slides and the ability to not have version control which has certainly caused some hiccups while using powerpoint.

I love using power point for any presentation. It is an outstanding visual aid to walk anyone through a situation, program, or job that will provide them with visual information so that they are able to see the project with you as you are explaining it. It really helps keep the attention of who you are presenting to.

Vorteile
The biggest pro I can think of is that it is very compatible for other people that you need to share your file with. Most everyone with a PC will have this software.
Nachteile
PowerPoint is not terrible, but most people use PowerPoint in a terrible way. But I would say that PowerPoint really needs to provide better looking templates. Some of them look like they are from the 80s.

I think what I least like about PowerPoint is the outdated use of Smart Art and clip art. These images should be advanced.

It is very benificial in many ways. Whether it is for a presentation or for studying purposes. I have enjoyed this software for 15 years and will continue to use it for the rest of my professional career.

My overall experience has been somewhat positive, though I don't think I've really mastered this software.

I like that you really can't fail with it when you need to do a basic presentation. It is fairly easy to add text and pictures.

I really can't get the visual side of it to look as interesting as I would often like. I feel like learning to use the templates effectively takes too much time.

I love PP because I'm not very skilled with technology but used this and have been using PP with ease. I love that I can edit things as I need and I love that I can send my presentation to others easily. If you are struggling with anything there are lots if easy to follow tutorials for you to use.

Using PowerPoint for Board presentations
Overall it has been a pretty smooth and easy process to put our presentations together.
Vorteile
The program is fairly easy to pick up as a new user, and things that I didn't know how to do I could Google fairly easily and figure out what I needed to do.
Nachteile
Some of the graphs going from Excel to PowerPoint didn't go smoothly, I had to recreate them in PowerPoint in order to get the effects to work.

I love the interface. The ribbon has all of your tools right there, no more digging through menus to find what you need anymore.

Universally used and accepted for professional presentations. Familiar and works well within the Office Suite. Fairly easy to use.
Nachteile
Expensive and you can do the same thing on Mac IOS using Keynote which will save to .ppt format and Keynote is FREE (so are the upgrades). Limited template choices without searching the web for other options.
