Nachteile
Aesthetics of basic templates is very old-fashioned. Thanks to that, we will still watch a lot of ugly presentations at the conferences.

When I was in high school, we used this alot for doing presentations.
Vorteile
All the different things you can do with each slide and how you can add your own pictures and make them rotate or fly in.. etc.

The least favorite thing would probably be have to type up everything and just come up with different stuff for your slides.

Powerpoint ease of use for certificates
I had a need for a template to create a certificate. Overall, creating the certificate worked out fine. However, I tried to use a picture as a "watermark" and couldn't find any easy way to do this. I ended up adding the picture as a graphic and made it transparent. However, the picture now didn't fill the certificate completely. Would be good if there was a way to make a .jpg a watermark.

The Power of Point
I haven't even embraced all of the capabilities of PowerPoint yet, but I do know that it allows me to make phenomenal looking presentations with relative ease. I use it often for trainings and upates, and the features can make you look like you really know what you're doing. Usually I end up not using all of the features I'm aware of though b/c training presentations are a little more dense.
