The best thing that SAP Concur offers is an app and a website that can work well together. SAP Concur worked best when I captured day-to-day expenses with the app and then sat down and put my reports together on the website. The SAP Concur travel booking functionality is also quite useful, and I appreciate booking all of my travel options on one website.

Nachteile

The hardest aspect of SAP Concur to work with was the occasional issues that arose when a captured expense would go to a different area of the website or get attached to another expense report. This rarely happened, but it always took a few minutes to fix those issues.

SAP Concur automates repetitive accounting processes which enables me to save time. Matching POS, receivables and invoices detects errors rapidly.

I liked the ability to itemize hotel charges in detail. Made it easier than worrying about splitting off personal charges to a separate non-business card. Can mark some itemized charges as personal so they don't get filed for reimbursement while all the others get claimed.

Overall it's a little cumbersome and the app seems outdated. It's bulky and more complicated to navigate than it needs to be.

I used this software for the better part of a decade. My company at the time in essence told us this is how you do your expenses to allow all T&E to be paid. It was a semi simply process at first as the flow of completing each expense line item was fairly straightforward.

Nachteile

The "but" to my above comments is: as your account base grows and the number of expenses grows across the board, I found the whole process to become time consuming and tedious. As an organization we moved to a different service and I was amazed how simply it was in comparison. The entire workflow was so much quicker and turned a lengthy process into a quick one. What Concur offers does work, don't get me wrong, but I think personally it could be much more streamlined a process.

Multiple platforms can be used - allowing the diligent to capture photos on their phones right when generated - at the airport Starbucks, for instance.

Nachteile

The ideal platform is a tablet - it can take pictures and you quickly pull it out and work while waiting to board, etc., but I experienced a showstopping bug that required me to use my PC to finish reports. The bug was that the city lists and currency lists were invisible on the iPAD. Never figured out why; too late now as no longer with that company.

What I liked the most when I used sap concur was the ease of requesting refunds at the company. as it has level of approvals, it is simple to organize as needed.

I haven't had the opportunity to test other features. So the suggestion is to make clearer what can be used, what can be used and for what purpose and if there is any kind of customization that can be done to suit smaller companies

Frankly, customer service is not very good. When I encounter a problem, whoever I contact is not very interested in my problem. I almost always solved my problems myself.

When I travel I hate to storage receipts and then put them together for my expense report, this software lets you just take a picture, and you make your expense to the card you have on the system, so the charge comes into the system automatically and you just need to take a picture, and that is easier, you do not need to carry any paper, and it is easier to make a expense report, and everything is in order.
Also I love the fact that it pre fill the forms based on the info on the spend on your card, so it also save you time when doing your expense reports

Some times it take to much time for the charge of the spend to appear on the report, also sometimes the place in where you did your purchase is not updated properly, so you need to do it manually

I like that there are add-ons available to be able to book travel right through Concur making any expenses that are incurred readily available to expense. I like that you can enter in your frequent customer numbers for things like airfare and rental cars. You can register your preferred business credit cards as well and those expenses will automatically populate so you can transfer them to an expense report.

Nachteile

The thing I like least about Concur is that when entering in hotel stays for multiple days you have to enter expenses for each day rather than putting in just the total for the whole stay. When rates are different each night, there's a lot of changing around that has to happen in order for it to come out right.

I used this at a corporate job before being on my own. When I first got started using I couldn't believe how easy it was - in the past I had used everything from a totally manual excel form and paper receipts to a super outdated software that was a struggle. Concur made it easy!

The company I used this with took advantage of a setting to not require employee input on expenses under $20 - this made it much easier to move through expenses as you didn't have to waste time on a simple taxi or coffee with a client. Also liked how you could bank images of receipts whenever you felt like it and have them in there/ready when you wanted to file.

Nachteile

I'd say the look and feel was pretty good but felt a bit strict/dry. I think there is opportunity to look at design and UX to make even friendlier and easier.

The easy, real-time expense update features such as taking a photo of a receipt and creating an expense, and mapping technologies to track mileage are a benefit to users in drastically reducing data entry, and increase accuracy, which could have a financial impact to the company. The ability to categorize top spend areas and do projections based on that helps in budgeting and planning. The integration with other apps such as TripIt are beneficial in optimizing costs, increase collaboration of teams around calendars, as well as the added cost optimization and perks for employees, whereby points can be pooled and tracked for better allocation/usage. The simple, user-friendly UI and mobile app integration enables mobile workforces to be more productive while the API connectors to CRM or ERP systems can aid in overall expense management and planning.

Nachteile

As a trial member, we have not fully deployed an enterprise level solution, but the API- connectors and overall feedback suggests ease of integration. At some point, future versions of these solutions will probably be chat-bot enabled for even faster inputs.

I use SAP Concur to track travel and business trip expenses. So, my partner and I can manage our budget accordingly. My favorite feature about SAP Concur is its ability to capture hotel or gas bills as an image and attach it to a specific project. I also like its ability to integrate with airlines and hotels booking, so I don't have to go to those reservation sites separately. My accountant finds it easy to work with SAP Concur reports when e-filing my year end taxes. So, overall a great financial analysis and expense reporting tool.

Nachteile

SAP Concur doesn't work that well with Google suite or Chrome browser. Because it is optimized to work best with Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and office products. Password reset and error tracking is not that efficient. Uploading images of receipts for expense reporting is complex to understand for a new user. Customizing the software to meet specific accounting practices for a specific business takes some extra effort. Experience in accounting and erp software use is a must to maximize potential of SAP Concur.

Concur has a lot of functionality for expense and travel management. I love its integration with American Express statement, which allows to autogenerate expense reports directly from the e-statements.

Nachteile

Increased functionality comes at the expense of usability; sometimes you may find Concur difficult to use. Also, there are some steps that are repetitive; for example, if you qualify an expense report as "personal, do not reimburse", you will also have to qualify each of the expense items.

I have used this product myself and it didn't work more than it did. Then I moved positions and didn't have to do anymore till I got a client that asked me to do it for her (she didn't like it either). It does get information to the finance department without them having to bug everyone for it.
