Areas for improvement: the tasks are in English, even though I'm a French speaker, and the summaries are in French.

The “your questions” section isn't very relevant, with sentences that don't always correspond to what was said, and question assignments that aren't always correct.

Fathom is quick and accurate and adds tons of value. I found it easy to use and integrate with my go-to apps. Hyper-text links to videos are a game changer. Meeting notes are available almost instantaneously. Implementation was intuitive. I have been using it daily with a range of meeting types. My meeting notes have made me a "rock star" with my Clients and external team members. I only contacted customer support once with a courteous, quick response.

Nachteile

I could not find the subscription tab fast enough to move from the trial version. Fathom is missing a projects folder for filing meetings

I love the great notes it creates at the end I was using a different note taking app but Fathom is so much better. I love the real time monologue and percentage of talk time that pops up while you are in the meeting.

So far it's really been great. I wanted to actually record an in person meeting the other day and couldn't figure out how to do it so I opened zoom so I could have the notes afterwards. You might be able to open it for in person meetings but I haven't figure out how yet. (I only took about 20 seconds to try so I'll check more in depth and see if I am able)

I like the thoroughness of the notes. It gives in depth analysis of what happened in the meeting, what the follow up action items are and next steps. It is more accurate than fireflies, spark mail transcription, zoom aI, chatgpt and otter in my experience.

I dislike that you can’t use it as hoc without a virtual meeting. Sometimes I like to use an ai note taker for in-person meetings but this tool isn’t built for that.

Its ease of use is the best part, it loads up automatically for my meetings held on google meets. It provides concise and accurate summaries and action points and saves me searching days later through paper notes, to see if I have missed any action points.

Fathom was extremely easy to setup and begin using. It connected to my various accounts (Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet) with very little work or fuss. The transcription and AI features like takeaways and TODO's are extremely helpful and consistently correct.

As a hearing impaired individual, I'm often concerned I'm missing out on something in a meeting and Fathoms has worked well to ensure accurate and solid transcripts along with excellent key point summaries which are easy to switch modes (from sales perspective to stand up summary styles). Summaries are available within a few minutes after a meeting and it's handled summaries of 2+ hour meetings with solid action items and next steps outligned while avoiding anciallary items and non-pertinent discussion points.

It'd be great to have a live meeting option (not just online) for in-person meeting summary sets... Maybe a 'down the road' option...

This provides invaluable information for me in sales, enabling me to fully engage in technical client discussions without the distraction of taking detailed notes. I especially like that I can flag sections of the recordings as highlights, objections, questions, & things that I need to address afterward.

One of my favorite aspects is the summary that automatically generates afterward, along with the follow-up tasks agreed to in the meeting.

I'd like to be able to minimize the "Fathom Notetaker" window on-screen, but I accept that might prevent an attendee from being aware that the call is being recorded.

Fathom's interface is pleasant looking, easy to understand, and works. The summaries and transcripts are superior to competitors' offerings. This is really good for team collaboraiton and follow up. We use it on every call. It shows up when it is supposed to and starts the meetings. We have tried several and Fathom is the best.

Nothing yet. But, I have to put something in there and the only thin one time is that I was not sure how it would transtiion form a meeting that ran over and then went into a new meeting, it worked well. sometimes it cuts off at the meeting end time in the calendar when it should keep recording. Probably a user error.

Fathom is a fantastic tool to increase productivty and maximize your valuable time! There are a TON of AI based tools launching to market meant to summarize video and audio content so, I was looking for something in the product to stand out and really show me value worth the additional price (especially since Zoom and some other video conferencing tools already offer features out of the box to summarize and report on meetings). What sets Fathom apart is convenience, collaboration, integration and usefulness. Specifically, the way Fathom auto-joins meetings and initiates recordings is seamless and somewhat minimizes the stigma associated with asking the host to record the meeting. By auto-joining, I can privately capture any content and choose to share it at a later point. For sessions I want to share, there is a pool of content across various internal peers that I can now more easily access as opposed to needing to manually share individual recordings. Recordings alone are useful, but the AI generated summaries definitely exceed the quality of out-of-box solutions and do offer good value. The AI summaries also add tasks which can be tracked and generally, most importantly, the summaries are surprisingly accurate with only minor tweaks being required.

Nachteile

There are only some minor controls that I would like to see in the future come from the Fathom team. So far, more granular control and seperation of the summarization from video would be valuable. Essentially, having the ability to generate a summary without a recording or choose which functions I want to take from a call, although, these are minor asks. Finally, more granular control of organizing content would be a helpful addition. In the solution, adding content to folders defaults to sharing across your internal teams, but having the ability to create folders with per user access would make it much easier to disperse content individually. Overall, despite these asks, for a product relatively new to the market, I would say it is doing quite well and is simple and intuitive for new users.

Before Fathom, we were struggling to take notes while on a call, then log those notes in a way that we could share with our customers, while still keeping things organized in Hubspot, which is our source of truth for client accounts. Follow-up emails that weren't just a form letter added more time spent digging back through those notes, and then you still have to log the meeting as completed! Fathom completely changed the game for me, and took me less than 10 minutes to get set up. It takes very detailed notes, including pulling out action items (which it makes into Hubspot tasks for me automatically!), and you can generate a personalized follow-up email in seconds. It also logs these notes into Hubspot, marks the meeting as completed, and sends a copy of the notes to the other people on the call automatically. Not to mention that it alerts me during the call if it thinks I've monologued! Less time spent on manually tracking all of this is more time I can spend helping our customers.

Nachteile

It's a little more cumbersome to cut a specific snippet of a video out for sharing than other programs I've used, but you can still share from a certain section, and everything else it does helps make up for this in my opinion.

Fathom takes notes and summarizes data with crazy accuracy! It was super easy for our whole organization to implement and use. Our team is spread out throughout the US and mostly remote, so having this for internal meetings has been a lifesaver. I love that not only does it summarize, but it will also provide a transcript that you can search for and provide a recording. It saves all recordings for you, and it's easy to send them to teammates.

Its accuracy on the summarization is insane! It doesn't just write down what you said word for word; it summarizes in complete sentences, provides action items, etc. It truly blew my team away.

It also aligns with your Outlook calendar and will update you when future meetings arise.

We use it for most of our online meetings.

Nachteile

My only issue with Fathom is that sometimes it gets a little glitchy with Zoom calls. Or if I log onto a meeting that I dont want recorded it can take some time to remove it from the meeting.

Most of these issues are easy to get around though.

As a Scrum Master i now can focus on the discussion instead of constantly being in the wake of it, as capturing the content always prevented me to be active in calls. Through the change i now can observe the discussions and provide leadership in the moment instead of working through reflection after the fact.

I do not have my data in control anymore, which is a topic that all AI solutions currently are facing and we need to be aware of this fact as a society to not accept this situation ultimately. It is not specific to Fathom but its the one dependency i am unhappy with.

I think it needs a Spanish sub menu option on Spanish, normally every meeting is in English but those rare times I have one in Spanish, because in Latin America there are so many variations to accents and words used, maybe have an option to choose language by country (like Mexico, Colombia, Argentina) otherwise I don't think it have anything I dislike, this is a suggestion

The note-taking ability, the way it so incredibly helpfully and accurately parses out what was discussed into logical segments, and provides the key takeaways into a way not just that I can easily read, but helps me remember what happened, especially in a long and involved meeting. It is going to change the way my sales staff works... not only will my tech-phobic employees find it super-simple to install and use, but the clients will be incredibly impressed with what my staff will be able to provide them. It's all about looking, and being, professional! I used it three times the very first day, and came out forever changed.

When you forward a summary to someone else, the "Play" button/graphic is awkwardly in the way and I delete each of them before sending.

Most helpful is the fact I no longer have to take notes, the notes from Fathom come in less than a minute, I can share with the person I was on the Zoom with and they are impressed with how quickly they get the info. I love how concise the notes are as well, seamless integration with Zoom. As a business person this is an exception tool to have so you really get the opportunity to be in the moment with no distractions knowing all the important info will be captured..

On the fence give it a try.. you will see all the benefits and the time it saves, way quicker than Zoom recordings as well.

I am on zoom meets everyday and I use it at least 3 times a day. I havent had to reach out to customer support but if the app is anything to go by, the customer support should rock. Very easy to use as well..love it cause I am not tekky.. lol

Fathom is an AI-based notetaker and as you might expect, it gives you AI summaries of your meetings. However, what's really nice is how seamless it blends in. It monitors your calendar and Teams/Zoom/etc. and automatically joins with you.

You can remove it from any meeting if desired, but otherwise, it joins in silently, and then gives you a summary at the end - with action items, and importantly, hyperlinks to the relevant part of the meeting so you can always go back and review the recording and transcript.

There's a paid tier for teams to collaborate, but for free you still have a personal assistant that keeps you on top of all your meetings. It's easy to review the summaries and to check off the action items. What this means is during the meeting you are free to engage, talk, collaborate - without worrying about taking notes or being distracted.

It also does a better job than I can of understanding all the nuances of some of my English-as-a-second-language colleagues.

You can also hook it up to a CRM so your call summaries are auto-filed there.

Nachteile

There's not a lot to dislike, particularly given it has a free tier. However, I suppose some minor wish-list items are that I could personalise the AI assistant so when it joins a meeting it has a particular image/name, but that's very trite.

Sometimes it doesn't quite understand my good old Australian accent properly - but this gives us a bit of a laugh at what it thinks I said. We can figure out what was meant and it's not a problem, though one feature request could be that we can edit the summary and perhaps train the AI on these misunderstandings.

Fathom makes it easy to take notes - I have used it daily since downloading the app over one month ago, and I have recommended it to numerous colleagues since. It took me only a few minutes to set up, and the short introductory tutorial got me up and running with no trouble. I appreciate the meeting summary and the ability to customize those summaries - for example, I was able to ask the AI to rearrange the sections to better suit my needs. There are many excellent features - too many to list here - but the AI's ability to generate action steps, buttons to highlight meeting segments while the meeting is happening, and reminders when I am monologuing (or more generally, what percentage of the meeting time I am speaking) are really helpful.

Nachteile

(1) The transcript contains many errors, both in the accuracy of the transcription and in the attributions to who was speaking at the time.

(2) I have not found a way to edit the meeting summary notes to update inaccuracies or correct spellings of people's names before sharing with meeting attendees.

(3) Deleting video recordings from the middle of the recording is not straightforward. (It is easy, however, to trim the beginning or end of the recording - kudos!)

Fathom is super user friendly and the integrations with the video conferencing software is flawless. The control over how the reports are structured are very customizable. The look, functionality and results are second to none in my opinion. I also appreciate that I can program it to auto join so I dont need to remember to also add my notetaker. The calendar reminders really help me not miss a meeting. Plus you can launch the whole thing from your Fathom without needing to also open the video conferencing software. So easy!

Nachteile

I really haven't run into any issues! I guess my only request would be an ability to re-name the meeting before or during it vs after the recording is complete. Like if I could just click on the mini desktop control widget and change "Impromptu Zoom Meeting" to the actual title or topic that would be great! Right now I have to go into the recording review page after to re-name it.

I am able to be fully present in all of my meetings. I am no longer shifting my eye contact away to take notes. I am able to keep on tract with everything going on within the meeting. The recap of the meeting is by far my favorite feature. Being able to easily and quickly access individual parts of a meeting during later review is game changing. It also provides a source of honesty and truth. We can easily tell what was saida and by whom - no more thinking someone said something when that something else. It is super easy to use and get setup within Zoom. I use this multiple times per week.

I'm on the back side of my career. I'm past wanting to adopt a lot of new technology. The thought of AI in general is overwhelming to me. My boss talked me into trying Fathom and it has blown me away. I use it on my Teams meetings with customers and with my team. It filters out the meaningless talk and highlights just the key points in the meeting and it is shockingly accurate. I get an email recap as soon as my meeting has ended and I can put that recap in my CRM, share it with the owners of my company, use it for follow-up tasks etc. It also gives you a recording of the meeting to use for training etc. It makes itself known by showing as a participant in the meeting, and titles itself as "my fathom note taker". Not at all intrusive. I've shared the recap notes with my customers. It's saved me a ton of time in recaps alone. It's really great!

Nachteile

When your meeting starts, Fathom generally takes about a minute to join - So the pop-up notification that Fathom has entered your meeting can disrupt initial greetings etc. But this is a small issue that hasn't caused any disruptions to my meetings yet.

Excellent product, having just finished the 30 day free trial this product is a great addition for any busy project manager. Easy to use and reliable it effectively recorded my meeting notes and actions enabling me to provide written records instantly after calls. This improved the quality of subsequent calls and ensured key takeaways were not missed. There are various templates available so you can tailor the output bag on the type of call for example PKO, Status Calls, Sales Demo.

I also liked that it recorded the duration of each call as this made it easier to record accurate timesheet entries in my internal Project Management System.

I am keen to review the Slack Integration in future.

When utilising where mutiple resouce are in the one location the quality of the output slightly reduced however as outpit can be customised before release to attendees this still added value overall

I am a Project Manager and am fully remote. I have upwards of 20 online meetings per week, and used to be distracted trying to take notes while in the midst of meetings. Fathom is so easy to use. The installation is simple and once that's done it essentially runs itself. The software is light and causes no delay in my work. Within minutes of ending I get a full meeting resume which makes sense, and which I can share with my customers. I also work in French, and was blown away by the fact that fathom worked equally as well in another language, without me having to change parameters. Customer support has followed up with emails, and I am very impressed with their response time. I have already recommended it to colleagues. Thank you!

I like that I can flag items to review during a call and it'll back track to the start of that portion of the conversation. This has been most useful in cross team meetings where we cover many topics, some that aren't related to my work. Sometimes people talk for minutes about a subject I think is unrelated and then mention my team as a possible collaborator. I can then mark it and come back later to get the full details. I also like they they bucket all my questions so I can quickly see all the answers I need at the end of the call. Also having each bullet point link to the exact timing in the video is very useful. I've used it daily since downloading it and it's very simple to use out of the box.

Nachteile

I don't love that the notetaker is present like a guest in the Zoom. I used Limitless before and would verbally ask if it was okay to record, which added a layer but it somehow felt less invasive. Having the notetaker there always reminds people that I'm recording as it's a black square, and multiple times folks have said something about it. Enough so that I don't use it in half of my meetings.

Fathom is so intuitive. beyond helpful, and easy to use. It jumps right in to your meetings, was seamless to implement, follows along with minimal error, allows you to highlight important aspects of the meeting, easily integrates into the meeting platform you're already using, has incredible customer support (who were proactive might I add in resolving MOST of my potential issues before they even occurred), and allows me to be fully engaged in my meeting instead of worrying about taking notes and tracking action items. I have started using it for every meeting, even quick internal ones, because of how helpful the tracking and summaries are. Highly recommend!

Nachteile

I don't love that there is a whole separate user added to your video meetings. It would also be helpful if the platform proactively assisted in cleaning up the summaries, whether it's spelling errors it guessed on or items it didn't completely follow. These are MINOR tweaks, the platform is amazing overall!

I absolutely love the ease this creates for me in my business. I am easily able to provide the recording page for my clients and it makes my 'client notes' so much easier to compile. It has cut down admin time for me significantly and I've heard from my clients that they love the ease of clicking the email and viewing the part of the recording they want to review. Fathom was recommended to me by my tech assistant who used it on our first call together and I was super impressed. She also raves about it! So grateful to have this tool!

Fathom is one of my favourite sidekicks for all of my Zoom meetings.

Effortuiously recorded meetings created quick and easy-to-digest summaries and allowed me to share recordings with clients in one click. It seems so obvious, and yet it's so brilliant.

Fathom has paid features, but unlike some software, it doesn't feel the need to impose them if you exceed any features.

Fathom has been shared with every one of my colleagues in the office, and I've shared it multiple times on Linkedin as a must-have extension for Zoom & Online Meetings.

Plus it takes less than 2mins to add and begin using.

I've had one interaction with the support staff so far, mostly because the software works so well 99% of the time. The one instance that something went wrong, the team was there to explain the best way forward and offer daily updates on the progress.

This is a product I generally use Daily, and looking back to when I didn't use Fathom, it seems like a distant memory now.

The Fathom team spent over a week trying to recover and fix the problem but was unable to fix it.

I will note that the recording in question was over 2 hours long and had 10+ people in the Zoom call. Perhaps the fault then is on me.

Vorteile

I've used several services and Fathom is #1. I use it daily, multiple times a day.
What I like most is: first of all, it takes off the cognitive load during the call by providing a panel for highlighting certain points in the call. This makes the Google Meet integration very easy.
After the call, I can review the action items automatically created by Fathom and they're usually very good (better than competitive products).
This allows me to follow-up with my team members and customers easily, saving me precious time.
It records the call, not just the transcript, and allows me to review in retrospect.
It understands technical terms (I would say 95%) in an impressive manner (ArgoCD, Amazon EKS, RabbitMQ etc).

Customer support is excellent - provided feedback and they got back to me quickly, referring to my question and helping me.

Nachteile

Very close to perfect, but:
Does not fully understand technical terms and names, and doesn't have a custom dictionary for corrections (for example, ArgoCD is once "ArgoCD" and once "Argos CD")
The meeting summary is fully automated and editing fields is either impossible or very limited
Integration with Notion is only via Zapier, which requires a premium subscription and basically disables this option for me
Not supporting many foreign languages, does not detect the language and creates very funny comments

- I can focus 100% in meetings, not worrying about notes, action items and minutes.

It helps improve the efficiency of meetings by providing incredibly accurate meeting notes, highlights, actions and shares them with all attendees after the event. keeps people accountable and saves so much time.

Nachteile

It can sometimes get some of the notes/actions slightly wrong so it does require you, depending on the meeting and the attendees, to check them before saving/sending.

It was just so simple to setup and get going and the notes and actions it generates were much better. Plus they offered a freemium option that we all used to try out before committing, and it has lots of features.

Vorteile

It takes perfect notes. Action items. Allows you to make unlimited custom tags that know to rewind to where that part of the conversation started to highlight it which turns into quick links later that you can send to others who only need that piece.

Nachteile

Would be an amazing addition to support more than one calendar. For me I have multiple companies and most calendars are active. I can forward the meeting to the email fathom is logged in as for a work around.

As a Sr. Technical Recruiter, having virtual meetings with Human Resources or the Technical HIring Manager, I used to take a lot of notes because in IT, there are so many different tools, db's, infrastructure, languages and past experience my client needs in a resource request.

Fathom, using AI, distills the relevant details down to a summary that gives me the opportunity to interact with my clients 1 to 1, without taking notes. It's invaluable!

Nachteile

No downsides for me! I can no longer do my job without Fathom !
