Die Einfachheit wie alles abläuft, vom Anmelden bis zu der Versendung des Players. verständliches Backend.

Man muss erst blicken wie das mit den Playlisten und dann mit der Zeitleise funktioniert. Die Mail-Adresse steht Yodeck dran und nicht meine Mail Adresse. Da ich dies in Zukunft für meine Kunden mehr machen möchte, ist dies natürlich nicht so gut.

Vorteile

Great product, easy to use. It took a few days to understand the way everything worked together as far as scheduling, default content, etc. but any questions I have are answered quickly and effectively.

Nachteile

No iOS app. I’d love to convert my iPads to Yodeck screens as well.

Vorteile

What I like best about Yodeck is the uncomplicated registration/login, especially with Microsoft 365. Screens, Playlists and Apps are good to set up, connections to Microsoft works and you get what you see. Implementing Business Apps like Sharepoint News is a great feature for longer news where you can go to the full Newssite by QR-code, for short news Teams Integration works really well. Even with Images and Videos. With this Features and without the need for multiple User Accounts to Setup Screens one Admin is able to set up for different Teams and they can themself put Data to the Screens (and delete them) as often as they please. Until now there was no need to contact Customer Support. And all this for an unbeatable price in relation to other competitors.

Nachteile

Unfortunately not everything regarding Microsoft 365 is implemented yet. The biggest "problem" is, there is no Implementation of OneDrive Folders for easy display of Images or PDFs (but you can work around this with Sharepoint News or Teams News, but this needs a bit more user interaction). Also there is no support for AppleTV/iOS, this would bring the possibilities to share over different existing teams and setups to a higher level.

Vorteile

The ease of use and the ability to remotely manage it. And it also notifies me if the internet connection goes down. Really handy for a device that is 1/2 way around the world from where I manage if from.

Nachteile

The only issue I have ever had with a Yodeck device I caused myself. I shut down one and re-used the SIM card in new hardware. And it would not come back online without a 2nd person to read the display to so that I could tie the new hardware to the old SD Card. And regain remote control/access.

Yodeck is a really easy software to setup with tons of layout customization options and prebuilt templates. My favorite part is the layout builder that allows you to section off the screen how you want.

I wish the apps had a little more customization. It definitely gets the job done, but I feel a bit limited in how I can display certain apps like weather and news.

Easy to use and setup, the support team was also helpful when i had a question about unsupported devices that I used and they do not recommend, they still did what they could to help me.

Adding time to each individual images or content piece in a rotating playlist can be time consuming, i use the same time length for every image, and i cannot just set up one time limit for all images, but i have to add the same seconds to each image individually.

Low cost, plenty of configuration options, reliable. Setting up a Raspberry Pi as a player is very easy to do and the platform is reliable. Has just enough integrations to get any data I want to display on the screen in some form. One of those rare apps where I haven't considered swtiching to an alternative yet.

It takes a while to recognise all the different configurables and how they work together. Once you work that it it's pretty easy to use.

I have been very happy with their available video tutorials to walk you through each step you can think of. I was originally trying to setup the calendar with an unused Amazon Fire Stick and was very happy to see how easier it was with the Yodeck player, not to mention that it was preloaded with all information including wifi credentials to truly be plug and play.

Nachteile

I only have 1 really con to this point. That is that the Yodeck player doesn't seem to like to automatically connect to my google account. So whenever, the internet or power cuts out I have to manually do it by bringing over a keyboard and mouse. I have tried to mess with my google security settings to allow it, to no luck thus far. Also, just a small note that trying to login with an @ symbol for email apparently has a different keyboard location in the UK than in the US, but once you realize that it is no issue.

It's very intuitive and offers many options and control over your schedules and also how your screens perform. Yodeck supports many media formats for all your signage needs.

Nachteile

The only thing I can think of would be the remote chance you need to update the players manually on location. If someone isn't comfortable with command line (they are Raspberry Pi players) then you might feel intimidated but Yodeck offers great support.

I tried it because in my institute it was necessary to solve the problem of making information and content accessible to our students.
After a few minutes I was already able to project the contents, after a day I had already created my playlist, now after a month, the testing has finished and I consider this system adequate for our needs. We will be purchasing for use shortly.

All in all, very easy to use. It does exactly what it's supposed to and the prices are probably the best in the industry. One of my favorite features is the option to display my content with a Fire TV Stick. For someone just starting with Digital Signage, using a Fire TV Stick together with Yodeck is the best option out there.
Also, Yodeck's support is amazing. Always received a helpful answer within a few minutes.

It was very easy to set up Yodeck to display the web page that contains our digital directory, plus a video slideshow and audio background track. Web interface is exactly what we needed to be able to make changes to the page and push them out to the player whenever needed.

The only downside originally was finding where to remotely reboot the player, but even that is easier to get to now. Using Yodeck really is pretty straightforward.
