Vorteile

ScreenCloud makes my business's digital signage management very easy! There's tons of apps and customizability, and the UI is very easy to move around in. Stability is super important and we haven't had any issues since updating devices.
We can easily update content or use apps to have dynamic displays. We use the API to change the screen if we have an event coming up, all automatically.

Nachteile

The only downside is the license cost. It's a bit higher than other competitors with similar or slightly trimmed back features.
I also wish they had a mobile friendly site so I can more easily manage a screen on the go (forgot to update it or something after leaving work).
Sometimes, temporary displays don't revert back to the original content after the time is up.

I honestly didn't think I would be able to get this going! I have never worked on any digital screen software. The tutorials are easy to follow and I now have 15 screens successfully up and running for 3 months already and they look AMAZING!! Support is great, they get back to you very quickly I was quite pleased. Overall great experience!

Nachteile

There are a couple of add-ons that have to be purchased that I think should be included, and I don't like that the YouTube app STREAMS the videos rather than downloading them so you use lots of data if you do it this way.

The company I work for was looking for a cost efficient way to keep the team up to date on company events. ScreenCloud fit our budget perfectly. I loved that we could try it for a month for free to make sure it would work for us and it did. The software is easy to learn and use.

Well structured. Integrated apps are getting better all the time.

The interplay of screens, channels, playlists and apps can be confusing. We've had users confused about how to to best structure a screen for playing to accomplish the desired view for the public.

Updating content is a bit clunky sometimes. we use the Building Directory app to allocate dressing rooms for hockey. Because we're shoehorning it for our need, it isn't perfect (but it works). I'm happy to discuss the use case should anyone contact me.

The features I appreciate the most is the scheduling. It works great having to not worry about when to post items and when to remove them. Just add them, set the schedule and done.

It's easy to create new screens and new content in the backend. We can see the current screen being displayed. There is an extensive variety of integrations with other applications, such as YouTube, news, weather, and Facebook. We plan to use more applications for internal screens to show things like team member milestones, upcoming events, and goals.

We've had a couple issues with screens being offline (we use the player as a couple of our TVs are old/non-smart TVs).

Anyone seems to be able to order licensing and it is a a constent nightmare managing the procurement for the product. It needs to be locked down so only Admin's can order licenses or procured via email.

The user-friendly interface. The drag-and-drop content option makes it easy for everyone to use. Even non-techy users can quickly learn how to upload and schedule content. Also, the cloud-based management and access. You can remotely access and manage from anywhere. You can update on the fly and make real time changes to content across multiple screens. Also, great for businesses with multiple locations and/or remote teams.

Nachteile

I would like there somehow to be more analytics associated with this type of platform but not sure if this is possible. Relies heavily on internet connectivity. If your network/internet goes down, the screens might not update or display content as intended. Costs can add up per screen but if using 1-2 screen fairly affordable for marketing and communications.

The team was super helpful during implementation but havent heard anything from them since or evolved our use beyond where it was when we initially rolled it out. Curious if there's other new features we're missing out on because we haven't heard about them.

It was easy to set up. I like being able to ee what is playing and where. I like that content can be scheduled with a start and stop time so I don't have to remember to add/delete it. I'm sure there are more features available that I don't use.

Nachteile

Canvas is not intuitive and does not have enough default colors or fonts. Fonts should scale with the text box instead of manually changing the font size number. I would like to have a brand feature for company fonts and colors. It's not enough for me to rate it 4 stars, but might have selected 4.5 if it was an option.

I like how easy it is to upload your own canvases and connect to your device. Its compatibility is great with uploads from different platforms. The timer features for setting specific post dates and times is very effective.

Nachteile

For us, it disconnects by itself from time to time from the server to device. While its easy to connect it is a hassle to be on top of reconnecting it.

We love the ease of use and the variety of content types we can post. Our screens are used for advertising resort offerings and for displaying ever-changing food menus. Having tried several other options, it is a relief to be using Screencloud on all of our screens.

Would be nice if we could set availability by calendar date, not just by days of the week.

I seem to lose connectivity more than I would like to. Mostly having to reboot the Firestick. One of our monitors has been offline for a few weeks and I cannot get it back online. Likely a faulty Firestick and not a Screencloud issue but still frustrating.

Vorteile

ScreenCloud has made it simple to quickly put content on a screen and publish it. The interface is laid out well and if you have doubt about what it looks like, there's a preview option to see how it will look. Media types include photos and videos and connected to popular apps like Dropbox and Google Drive in addition to computer files. I like that we can create different media for our separate channels (areas of our building) and the playlists offer even more flexibility. I like that it has a windows app for the connected PC.

Nachteile

It has a lot of features we don't use, and I wish we didn't have to pay for those. We only have 5 screens and show basic picture content. The channels vs playlists seem a little redundant.

Since the upgrades the user interface is intuitive and and allows for seamless collaboration between buildings. It’s easy for an admin to confirm screens are online and update content quickly.

Prior to the updates our screens would go offline randomly and then the screen manager would have to climb up a ladder to manually reboot or push annotate. Since the update last year that hasn’t happened.

Very easy to use and setup. We initially started with some Chromecast devices attached to the TV screens we use, but have since just purchased the ScreenCloud hardware, as it works better with our upgraded network security.

Not applicable. We really like it. The only think I would like it for SSO to be included in the yearly plan without needing to upgrade further.

Sharing the magic that happens within a Boys & Girls Club is transformative in our industry – who doesn’t like to be recognized. ScreenCloud Digital signage has been a hit throughout our organization and gives us one centralized platform to seamlessly broadcast information. As a nonprofit, sometimes we wear many hats - this platform is easy to use and integrates with many systems that we already utilize. We use the system everyday and it is easy to implement.

Nachteile

As with any technology, sometimes it has glitches and although that can be frustrating, support has been really helpful in assisting us with fixing any issues in real time.

The hardest thing for me is sometimes getting the device back online because we use Fire Sticks, and the internet at certain spots where we use them is not the best.
