Easy to use, and the modules, such as payroll, are incredibly helpful and time-saving.

I purchased the lifetime desktop version which had the payroll module included; the next year QB changed the pricing model, such that, payroll was only supported with the subscription-based version, making it unaffordable.

That I can easily capture data for the company. I can easily label invoices and save them. I can easily look for certain invoices when I search them up. QuickBooks can also help with calculating costs faster than having to manually trying to calculate them.

The software is good but I wish they would do some upgrades on it that users have been asking for for years - like over 20 years we asked for things to be fixed but no they decided to have an online version - which is a mess and does not operate correctly at all. Not all of these Quickbooks are subscription based which is terrible, we used to have the software and could use it for over 10 years for free after we initially bought the CD. I will always like the desktop version - better reporting, much more detailed transactions, etc.

It needed update on its software, like reconciliation, especially for credit cards it was hard to match them with the different bank accounts when we could not see if it was reconciled on the transaction screen.

Our only challenge is training a new office assistant that does not have accounting experience but we have been able to slowly get her up to speed.

It is very easy to set up and use. I have used desktop for over 20 years and have loved it. I recently did switch over to QB Online with one company I manage which I find also very easy to use seeing as it can go anywhere with you and you can access it from any computer.
Desktop has all of the features needed for a small, basic company but also can withstand the demand of a larger business. The ease of billing, payments, reporting and reconciling are well worth it's cost. Upon set-up there are pre-loaded accounts for you as well, so if you are unsure as to how to start QB makes it VERY easy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

Nachteile

From my experience it can't be utilized from any computer - you need to have the software installed in order to use this product which makes it difficult if you travel or need access from multiple locations.

It is extremly user friendly, I like that if I make a mistake it will prompt me, that I can put my receipts, or pictures in as attachmetns. That I can email from the invoice section and that I can do an audit trail to find any and all mistakes prior to visiting with the CPA.

I don't like that changes are made to often and then you need to reset yourself.

At LEAST once a year my Bank Rec beginning balance is wrong (for no reaason) and I have unreconcile back to the last month with a correct balance (over 12 the last time) and redo them all. 3. Reports are often inaccurate. Sometimes closing and restarting helps but usually not. 4.Tech support is very unhelpful. They say if they can't recreae the problem there's nothing they can do
