So many people are moving to the online version. I use both for different clients. They each have their pros and cons so make sure and check them out before deciding. Also, if you are currently on desktop I find it very hard to change to online. All the clients I have that have tried have claimed it is a nightmare.

The only down side is that I have trouble with connectivity to bank accounts for auto download.

Quickbooks makes it easier to budget and maintain financial stabiluty as well as have proper reports for tax season.

There are some features I do not implement as they are not needed, but I would say I like all the features of Quickbooks for my business.

Weekly time sheets sometimes changes the description once I've already saved my info. Quickbooks automatically moves invoices from project.

I wish the reports were a little more concise. Ideally if they could have charts that could be exportable for presenting.

I like the different views you can have within the system. How easy it is to convert to different types of templates with just one click of a button. How you you can modify reports to your liking is super convenient.

The lag time in switching between the menu items could use some help. There are times, I have to refresh or click another menu item for it to start working on my desktop

To be honest, it took me a few years to seriously start using it. But that wasn't because of the platform itself. I was lazy and didn't focus on it. The second I started though, I cried with happiness, my clients cried, my bookeeper cried, my cpa cried... let's just say, everyone was happier.

My favorite part is the connection to Turbotax. Which I don't use every year (I have a cpa too)

Because it's comprehensive, there's a lot to learn if you want to fully use it. But this is a necessary evil. I would rather this than it be too simple. A great solution to this would be have a walkthrough onboarding like Turbotax uses, to set up and implement the platform best.

QB Enterprise is normal QB program but on steroids. It meets the unique needs of a nonprofit and allows you to use familiar software that you already know and love.

I found it slightly difficult to run year end donation receipts for donors and it wasn't fantastic for tracking donors, especially if you would like to insert extra information about a donor. I finally purchased a donor software program to use in conjunction with QB. QB is made for the financial aspect of the business so it kind of makes sense that I needed another product to adequately manage my growing donor base.

Now its getting expensive, even to just upgrade. It does crash about 3-4 times a year for me and frequency has never really gotten better.
