I can't say one thing. I love that it allows me to send parents info and pictures and videos in real time. I also love that it gives me a record when I want to look back and check on something (for instance a child's absences due to sickness). Lastly, I LOVE that I don't have to worry about collecting paper checks as parents pay directly to my bank on the app.

I wish there was a way to record staff absences and whether or not they were absences with or without pay.

I'm able to see notes, pictures, and videos from my son's daycare. I like that I receive notifications when any updates are posted.

Sometimes, the Brightwheel app can time out when I'm checking in my son.

Ease of use, functionality, ability to view children's day at a glance (when they eat, have diaper changes, go to naps, and incidents that happen), ability to send and receive pictures/documents with daycare staff, ability to send messages to administrators or teachers

There is a small service fee for paying invoices to daycare using brightwheel. Noone likes paying fees, but I think paying the small fee is worth it to be able to quickly and easily pay invoices from daycare from the comfort of your home

When my child's daycare went from 2 locations to one location, my child's father was unable to be incorporated and no longer receives information on our son from the daycare and cannot check him in or out.

There are too many departments/people to talk to when trying to get support. It would be nice to have one person assigned to our account that could help navigate questions.

When choosing a childcare engagement app, I was looking for something that was user friendly. The last app we used was not user friendly and parents were not getting the items we needed to communicate to them. Brightwheel not only allows us to get electronic daily reports to parents, but parents/staff can communicate directly about their child's day. Once I realized that Brightwheel also handled billing so much easier than Procare I was sold on the app!

Nachteile

My least like about Brightwheel when we signed up was they did not process payroll. Now that they include payroll in their system we are switching fully from our previous childcare managment software!

The messaging feature is a little confusing to me but that could just be user error. They have a message for messaging admins but you don’t get to see who those people are so when I send a message I never know who sees it and just assume everyone does. It would be nice to know who is on the list.
