I love the product as it does just what I need and the support if great.

Years ago it was missing some features, but the team is constantly adding features and upgrades.

Ease of use, I was able to move lots of quizzes from another platform quite easily. Great support is a big plus. They are professional and kind and give useful answers and also lots of useful hints.

Nachteile

I'd like a type of quiz where you can put, for example, names on the right place on maps like hot spot quizzes

LearnDash is a product full of features that make it a great choice for many LMS systems, such as:
1- Based on WordPress, which grants flexibility and integration
2- Create an infinite number of Courses, Modules, Lessons, and Quizzes
3- Reuse content in multiple courses
4- Multilingual support

Nachteile

Being a WordPress plugin makes it less flexible in some cases. For example, creating vanity URLs might not be as straightforward as it is in other systems. Also, many LMS features are missing such as creating rubrics, which might be critical for educational organizations

Having used other educational software earlier where you have to adapt what you want to do to how the software lets you do it, it is both refreshing and extremely rewarding to use a learning platform that tailors to you need, instead of the other way around.

Also, the support is excellent!

It can be fiddly to set up a system built on open source where different plugins and software has to be 100 % compatible.

It has a ton of features, works seamlessly with other plugins, and works very well.

LearnDash has all the features needed to create online courses in Wordpress. I was able to install it, set it up and then delete my Thinkific accounts, saving me at least $1,800 per year!

It does take a while to learn how to use, but that is the case with most any software that is powerful.

After watching a quick Youtube video on how to create a Learning Management Site. After that it was pretty simplistic to get started. It worked well and we were able to set up our courses, lessons, and quizzes. Everything was easy to connect and create a good flow for each product and lesson we were wanting to cover.

Some of the notification features didn't really work and we had to get additional plugins to complete the type of automation we were looking for.

We decided to use LearnDash for our internal training, and couldn't be happier. It has a long list of features including quizzes and lesson timers, and it integrates perfectly into our existing WordPress site.

Nachteile

LearnDash may be a bit tricky to set up if you are not confident with WordPress plugins, but maybe this is your chance to learn!

We made a in-house LMS website with Learndash as the core. Its really easy to setup and use. The support team is very helpful. Although we tried most of all LMSes available in market which includes Learnpress, Sensei etc, I found Learndash much easier. Easy documentations too.

It could be more "math-friendly": for example, in "Fill in the blank" questions Latex doesn't work. Or when entering a decimal number in a "Fill in the blank" response, it should allow a bit of error because the result can slightly vary depending on the decimals you take.

Organizing course materials is easy and intuitive, plus the documentation is very thorough. There are comprehensive support links inside the plugin, complete with video instructions. They also have a series of very useful blog posts discussing use cases, challenges and pitfalls, and stragtegies to take. Integrates well with several other plugins (membership, payments, etc). Friendly support!

Nachteile

Honestly, I have no complaints. The only limitations are those imposed by the Wordpress engine itself, whose UI is a little clunky.

LearnDash offers a wide amount of options for creating a online training. You can build-in almost every training option you could possibly think of.

Nachteile

Every single module and lesson (I still don't know the difference between those two to be honest) is placed underneath the other. But instead of showing whether it is a lesson or a module, you just have to find out by yourself. To be short, I'm losing control over my LearnDash projects.

Very easy to setup. Very helpful instructional videos included right inside LearnDash too. Nice features like groups, quizzes, and certificates.

Wish there was some built-in reporting for the site owner on the Basic license.

LearnDash is a great software. What I like most is that there are a lot of updates to improve and to enhance the software. Especially I really like the fast and competent support if I have questions in regards to LearnDash. The support team does a great job and is always very friendly. I think, that is not usual nowadays in the business. So that is one point I really appreciate. I am looking forward for many years ahead of a successful business relationship.

Nachteile

So far, a minor point is that LearnDash could establish a holistic approach (what they are already doing) but to go further forward in this direction (e.g. user registration) that at the end, I only need some more plugins to get all the features I would like.

I´ve been using LearnDash for a couple of years now. There is a learning curve at the beginning but when you learn how to use it, the options are limitless. I moved from MemberPress and never looked back. Even though I don´t use all the bells and whistles of LearnDash, I still think it´s worth the money

I like the intuitive nature of this software and that it works with payment processors out of the box. I like that my theme software of choice (Astra) provides a good starting point and sop far very happy.

I considered and trialed quite a few LMS before choosing LearnDash Cloud. What I loved most about it was that it came with everything I needed to set up my online course platform including different types of assessments (most lms only allowed multiple-choice quizzes), registration, payment integration, badges/certificates, and so on. What I now love the most about LearnDash is its customer support, they are fantastic, they are quick to respond, know what they are talking about and seem keen to help. I am not terribly tech savvy yet I could make sense of what they were telling me.

I am new to WordPress and I'm not a fan of the block editor however it's not too bad once you get your head around it.

Potentially the templates are hard to create for the course front page and the shortcode button could be bigger for 'take this course'

Robust, scaleable LMS with great support. With a bit of thought can be configured to do anything needed. Lot's of add ons to get it to do what's required.

Maybe needs a few more options for combining courses to award certificates, but these can be achieved by using add ons such as BadgeOS.

The Learndash is user friendly once you get to grips with the structure of courses, lessons and topics. If you are familiar with wordpress you'll find adding content easy.

There is a learning curve when you start out, I would like if there was a membership built in rather than having to get a separate plugin.

Customer service is very impotent for me, that I don't feel stupid when I ask all my questions and I am very satisfied the the help I got from support so far, I think I have got fast help even with the time difference.

I have a lot to learn about LearnDash, but it seams easy to navigate in. I am not an expert but I manage.

I just think that the dokumentation is a bit outdated, it could be better. But again did support help me.

Learndash is an easy to use plugin and was perfect for my clients needs. I love that GamiPress is also easy to integrate to give it that extra kick.

Last but the strongest one - the support team! You can count on them if it's _anything_ related to LearnDash. I even learnt about a staging feature present in webhosts, that I didn't know about.

A few more themes would have been helpful, although the default theme is pretty decent.

It's worth noting that LearnDash is supported by a large community of users. And this reason is good enough to convince me that LearnDash will be around for a long time. So spending time learning from other users is an important learning curve you should not miss!

The integration was not straightforward for my business model, so had a little extra development learning to do. It's worth trying to either do it yourself or find an expert to speed up the process.

Learndash has a course builder that makes is highly flexible in organizing course material, so the ability to organize large amounts of material in proper sequence was my primary choice. Also, the reputation of Learndash and reviews from others helped me decide on them.

it's really easy to integrate with word press and all it takes is just making courses. The plugin takes care of all the page layout by itself. Adjusting page colors is a breeze too so you can easily match them with your brand colors.

There are a few things that I miss, like the ability to search for particular courses based on course categories or tags but after contacting their support, I was given alternative ways to achieve the same result for free.

It is our first experience trying to share topics related to our very particular field on line.
The previous method was limited to only in-class courses.
LearnDash provided a way to share our courses in what I feel it is quite proffessional looking format.
It is designed with all the basic essentials and some advanced ones to be able to deliver good quality courses.
I will be able to share the respons from our students once they go thru our growing list of courses. Now I must focus on the contents, since the frame is already there.

I had to go thru some trouble related to plugins bugs, and also my limited knowledge on the software and wordpress itself.

The software is easy to use and the documentation is pretty straight-forward it works well with WordPress. Its definitely one of the plugins I recommend to clients who want to host their own content instead of using an outside party.

The price is also really good for what you get, which you can easily make back depending on how you price your offerings.

Nachteile

Though there is good documentation customizing certain features can be tricky especially if there is a conflict with another plugin.

Definitely keep the plugins you are using to a minimum to avoid conflict.

Generally, LearnDash is really great and complete but because of this there are so many funcionalities that sometimes you can't find them or know that it exists. Anyway, the support team always help me so is not a con to worry about.
