Vorteile

It is simple, clean and effective. We now have four websites that use it. I highly recommend it over other carts for sure.

Nachteile

Takes way too many plugins to give the cart what I think should be basic functionality already built in. Some of these plugins are not cheap either.

Vorteile

Very quick to setup, vast amount of add-ons/templates/upgrades available.
Large community support base, lots of different options for the type of products that you are selling physical/virtual/downloads .

Nachteile

Some of the official Woocommerce addons & templates can be very expensive for startup stores, some settings are complicated to change/remove.

I love the number of integrations and add ons that you can purchase to add onto woocommerce. This allows you to build out as simple or as complex of an ecommerce solution as needed.

It's a bit confusing to know what plugins and addons you need initially, but once you navigate through the marketplace, it's well worth the initial hump!

WooCommerce is essentially the gold standard for Wordpress shopping carts. The list of features seems endless, and it integrates with just about any payment processor you can imagine. Additionally, it has a HUGE community so it's not hard to find help when needed.

Nachteile

Many times, there are way too many options available. The kicker is, though WooCommerce is free, many of the important add-ons aren't. For example, if you need to sell subscriptions, you need to pay For a license. There are many other examples. What's more, the software is large with many moving pieces. So, you need to be prepared when updating the plugin or site so not to break anything.

If you are a WordPress fan then get to know WooCommerce. This freemium cart is a great option for setting up a shop and setting it up quick. The base cart is free and integrates well with many payment systems including now Square. If you want bells and whistles there are low cost options.

Nachteile

You have to be experienced in WordPress and WordPress speak to get this cart up and running. Like WordPress much of the support comes by way of community forums. To me, this works but may be a hassle if you need one to one service.

Vorteile

The ease of use and out of the box visually appealing look. It is very intuitive and easy to navigate for customers. It also has a ton of 3rd party integrations available.

Nachteile

Since it is a free plugin, it requires coding or specialized plugins in order to create custom functions or integrations with many 3rd party applications. If you have a complex e-com set up, it can be clunky and not work correctly.

This is a really easy to use and integrate with a wordpress based website tool. Perfect for e-commerce newbies

It doesn't work really good when it comes to customize it for another currency different from US Dollars

This plugin has evolved a lot, it has all the necessary functionalities to have your virtual store active without making many advanced configurations.

Nachteile

You must previously install wordpress. Not everything is free, there are many useful plugins that are paid. You can not manage multiple stores from the same place.

Multiple stores and integration with Woocommerce, the default built-in reports are sufficient to run your daily sales and bank reconciliation, easily working with touch screens and thermal printer with option to configure multiple printers and currencies for sales. stock counting features is good option to have to check your stock counts.

Nachteile

sometimes I wonder why they didn't implement web interface for such awesome software, i had to install this software on my PC just to adjust some configuration and generate reports, maybe if these features implemented in future I wouldn't need to have one additional server in my setup.

I'm not sure I have any thing to dislike. Every time I have an issue it is either me doing some thing wrong or it is addressed quickly.

It is so easy to use and to integrate in your webpage using wordpress. It allows you to easily create a digital selling platform that will make your business easier to manage, since you will receive an email every time someone buys through Woocommerce. Plus, there are a lot of integrations you can add on it, and you can even allow payments to be done with PayPal or safety payments with credits card, etc.

Nachteile

No major cons, but once we stopped receiving the email every time someone bought something. We tried to solve this but no one could so we had to check manually every certain time if somebody had bought something. After a couple of months, we started receiving the emails again.

Vorteile

With WooCommerce initially being free without any monthly costs upfront, that is always a huge piece when making a decision for what to go with. It's got a great community of developers, plugins and tutorials for you to be able to get everything up and running.

Nachteile

The learning curve is a lot larger than say with Shopify, but you don't have the upfront costs and monthly fee's, which helps especially with a new business. Besides that though, everything else is great!

I like how the WooCommerce applications fit seamlessly within the WordPress platform, which is great as we are already familiar with the interface.

The options available as additional add-on's can be a little bit difficult to navigate and it's often very time consuming to sift through so many options.

Has a LOT of functions we don't use and will never use.
I still can not "create" the actual "Reports" I need for my bookkeeper- CALIFORNIA ONLY sales tax in form the California Board of Equalization will accept for instance -- and others.
-- Bottom line -- we have it doing the things we NEED at this time.
BIGGEST draw back is POS will NOT let us keep ZERO in stock, then SELL a quantity, THEN HAVE IT SHOW UP ON THE PURCHASE ORDER -- Takes a LOT of our time to manually" do that.

Best about Woocommerce that it's free, it is light in size and installed and configured quickly just what you need when you are starting your first E-commerce website.

Nachteile

All the addons are mostly expensive, even though you have lots of them in free version you have to pay for some advanced ones. And i don't like Idea paying for something on a free platform.

The interface is easy to use, with minimal need for customising. The intergration add ons & other software that intergration into woopos allows you to be able to enhance your customers experience.

There isn’t much to dislike about woopos because the features keep expanding & getting better meaning that the users experience keeps getting better.

I had to integrate custom API with Woocommerce, really liked how many things you can manage with the API - add products, edit them, modify orders, customer data etc. Really easy to build something very custom.

Nachteile

For the price (opensource), there aren't really any downsides. The downside is moslty the wordpress platform, which with all the plugins can cause some problems for woocommerce. For example, a SEO plugin can mess up API responses for woocommerce by injecting random HTML in responses.

Can be as complex or simple as you need it to be. Staff is very helpful.

Again can be very complex and overwhelming. There are tons of features but their help section online is super helpful and they're eager to help

I really like how much of a user base there is for WooCommerce and all of the support and plugins available for it. It really makes it the best ecommerce solution on the market.

It's not all integrated in one purchase or solution like some of its competitors, however I would rather have the flexibility of what I want, than having to pay for everything up front.

I love the integration on my website to my printful store so customers can buy tShirt designs! It makes it super convenient for people to check out through PayPal and have everything drop shipped to them directly from the website instead of me holding onto inventory. It cuts out the middle man!

It is a little bit difficult to integrate it with your website if you were not text savvy. I had to have my web designer do it for me

It is free and it is very easy to use. There's really no downside to this software, I am a huge fan. There are a ton of online tutorials as well, which comes in handy when I get stuck on something!

It took a little bit of learning to figure out the variable products, but after that it is easy to add new items to my store with minimal effort.

I've been spending the past few weeks putting together a shop on our already-formed website. It's been a really great experience - looking even better than I expected. There are so many options, all of which give you a chance for customization. It integrates so well with our existing site. Can't wait to launch the shop!

WooCommerce can sometimes get a little confusing - though it's possible that I just haven't been using it long enough. I don't fully know all of the terms they use, so it's taking me a bit longer than I had hoped - having to stop and look up tutorials before moving forward. Still, this is more on my end than on the platform's end.

Please add a custom product for when the cashier scans an unavailable product they can add a custom product with price and name.
Add a function to customize front end pos to simplify the visual complexity for the cashier for example remove the search product tab. Add a category product instead to access example vegetables fruits ... and when you click on it a list of these product are shown

But overall the pos is really great just need some easy friendly platform and some additional custom functions

It is fairly easy to setup and is great for a small business. The management for a business/client is also fairly simple.

Nachteile

The plugins and software need constant updating and updates can break the software. WooCommerce also has lagged in terms of keeping up with updates that come from payment processors like Paypal.

I like that we are able to build an e-commerce website that our small business owners are able to manage. The software once developed is fairly easy to manage. There are countless integrations for the plugin as well.

Nachteile

The software can be so customized that it sometimes needs a backend developer to implement some of the requested elements from clients. It would be nice to have a dashboard of options that you can pick and choose from and turn off and on.

The biggest pro's, to me, of WooCommerce are: it's free, it's customizable, and it works smoothly once it has been set up. I am a photographer and I use it to sell photo packages on my website. I've never encountered issues with payments. On the front end, it looks professional and clean. On the back end, it has all the features you will need: inventory control, automated processing, SEO, shipping options, etc.

Nachteile

The con's of WooCommerce, to me, are: it isn't the easiest platform to learn to use, and and customer support is limited. But, this is the case within much of the world of Wordpress. Also, certain customizations may not be built in, and you'll have to do a bit of digging to find plugins or CSS to manipulate the software to your taste.

I have used WooCommerce a handful of times. It is a great solution for simple Ecommerce Websites that sell just a handful of products.

When you get a large amount of SKU's Woocommerce becomes a bit cumbersome, and I would prefer to use something a bit simpler like Shopify.

While our industry required some set-up and requirements different than what this product has - there were options to make it work and make it work smoothly. We continue to utilize more and more of its features! I also like the cloud option so our staff can be working off-site.

There isn't anything I can think of that I like least about this software. It is accommodating.

Selling is never been easier for me. I sell website and design in a form of subscriptions. I am able to bill every month to my customers, send emails and notice of payments.

WooCommerce is just that convenient. I can rely on the software without having to create o program a system to complicated.

Fantastic product for your integration with the world's largest content manager, easy to use, implement and generate services with this product. In spite of everything, the customer service team is responsible for the answers. It has facilitated the way the payment gateways relate to our websites. Love!

I was an inventory specialist at my last job. The software helped me implement a system and helped me organize the products and the sales simultaneously. It was fairly easy to use but took some time to get used to. I liked that it had multiple features that some other software did not.

I didn’t like the was it was set up. Hard to manage and enter info. I had to update information for the same product and different parts of the website rather than it updating the product information throughout all categories.

What I saw most about this add-on is that it offers many opportunities to create your own e-commerce and create a variable catalog in which you can display the way you want your articles.

WooCommerce for Wordpress is a good product. It's easy to setup and launch, attractive, and cheap for small businesses.

Their customer service isn't very helpful. Many of my clients use Woocommerce products. While I'm working on their projects, I have questions for the WooCommerce team. Rather than provide any support, they request that the client/owner of the product email.

And the times that the client did email, their reply was to check the help doc, or reach out in the Facebook group. Absolutely worthless.

You can actually sell a monthly billed service with WooCommerce. It actually removes shipping address and other elements that don't belong with a service. No need to hack anything.

Nachteile

This really isn't Woocommerces fault but it's not very intuitive. I mostly blame WordPress for that as Wordpress is not the easiest. Woocommerce has a lot of plugins that you may need and they are all expensive. And I haven't found out a way in the purchase process to get information filled out after checkout as part of the process without a hack.
