Vorteile

I was able to use this platform with very little knowledge on how to build a website. Now that I have been using it several years, it's still easy to use... customizable features are easy to find and plug in. I get lots of compliments on my website.

Nachteile

Some of the templates can be a little cumbersome; however there are plenty to choose from and you're sure to find something that will work for what you need!

Vorteile

Very easy to setup, one click, two clicks, three clicks and you are done. Easy to understand the system and how it function for every day computer users.

Nachteile

For an intermediate user, is a bit frustrating not being able to manage more products at once, to custom tailor those attributes in bulk and to always install new conflicting plugins for every small thing, you think it will increase sales.

A must for every wordpress site owner that wants to launch an online shop as well. It's free to install, fairly easy to set up as well. Then you start creating your products, setting up your payment processor and you're done. I like the vast amount of choices in terms of premium themes.

Any added functionality comes at a high price, plugins for it are very expensive (i.e. integrating Fedex shipping calculator).

It is very easy to set up with Wordpress and the basic features are free to everyone. It also has amazing support from the community and the staff.

I wish there were more customizing options with WooCommerce. Because of this some features are limited or you have to create your own code to customize.

It can be quite easy to end up with an overly convoluted site structure due to needing to use a lot of plugins to get the most out of WooCommerce.

Ease of integration with Wordpress. Great ecommerce platform with simple steps. The YouTube training videos provide everything I needed to launch a successful website. I used the extra theme with woocommerce and integrated all types of plugins for simple operation. There are hundreds of plugins available.

Difficult to resize photos inside the product edit. Bulk editing is limited - attributes requires a line by line adjustment.

FREE!! It also installs in seconds as a lightweight plugin. There are many features built right in, such as configurable products and selling digital products in addition to regular products.

Nachteile

Most of the add-ons are a bit pricey if there's something you need that isn't built into Woocommerce. It is also limited to the WordPress database design, which in my opinion, isn't designed for ecommerce data.

WooCommerce has to be the most comprehensive software for selling online. There is a plugin for just about any feature you need your online store to offer.

Nachteile

Because your many features are provided by different plugins, it's difficult to receive consistent customer support. Most plugin developers require that you contact then by submitting a ticket.

Customisability. It can literally do anything you want it to. From custom buttons to custom reports. It's integration with woocommerce is also pretty good, with multiple image uploads one of the definite plus features.

Nachteile

How backward it looks and feels. Unfortunately one of the things that can't be customised is its appearance. It's literally from the 1990s.

When setting up the store for the first time, some of the syncing of products and images can take some time.

There is no phone connectivity for Woopos. So you can't check your sales while you're on the train.

Very easy to use. Configuration is straightforward. Many themes support WooCommerce. Add-ons also vary.

Expensive price for add-ons that doesn't really do much. And not very clear about what are we paying for (site license).

Due to Wordpress being primarily a blogging platform, woocommerce can be a bit sluggish and clunky at times. Populating products with large ranges of variations can prove challenging

You can easily add and sell your products on the Internet. It has lots of good features. Even you can import affiliate products. Also you can find lots of paid and free themes for Woocommerce on the Internet.

On some themes and with some plugins sometimes slows your website. Some modules like paymentwalls are paid.

WooCommerce is great if you need to extensively customize your website. It is open source, and requires knowledge of HTML. If you have a wordpress website already, this is a great solution to turn your wordpress site into an ecommerce store. If you have specific features you need on your website that the main ecommerce solutions can't help you with, WooCommerce can be your answer.

This is not an out-of-the-box ecommerce store. Extensive work is required to get you up and running. Knowledge is required.

The administrator's dashboard is simple and convenient. A customizable section of reports, you will see only the data that you need.

If you are not very technical the system can be cumbersome to setup and use. You will definitely need to spend some time with the documentation to understand what everything does and how to best utilize it.

I really like how easy it is to set up, basic templates are incredibly customizable, and efficient. Also, the menus are easy to navigate and organized well by function.

I dislike the varying degrees of quality in plugins- often you have to use a plugin to fix an issue or link to a 3rd party software (such as UPS/Fed-ex/ etc) and sometimes those plugins aren't the greatest and require code editing to get them to function as you would hope.

Whether you sell physical goods, digital products or affiliate products, it's extremely versatile and economical compared to the hosted platforms - Shopify and Bigcommerce.

Nachteile

Not as easy out of the box like Shopify and Bigcommerce. More difficult to setup and maintain. Sheer number of options/add-ons can be overwhelming, but those contribute to the versatility.

This POS can do just about anything. If it can't, the developers will work with you to customize the POS. They do charge you for their time, but it is worth it when the customization is important to your company. Other, out-of-the-box POS software developers won't do that for you, even for a fee. They may add your suggestion to a feature list, and then 5 years down the road add your idea as a feature. If there is an issue, the developers of this POS take care of it in a matter of minutes to hours. Not days or weeks.

Nachteile

As a newer software, we have run into bugs that needed to be ironed out. However, those bugs were fixed almost instantaneously. You just have to let the developers know.

Wordpress is the easiest CMS (content management system) to get up and running, and WooCommerce makes it almost just as easy to establish own online storefront. If you don't have many requirements, the base install can get you pretty far.

Nachteile

If you need more than what the base install offers, you'll need to start looking at the subscription tier AND additional plugins to extend the functionality of your storefront. Many of the popular plugins cost money, but more importantly, you really need to stay on top of security updates because patching any plugin vulnerabilities is extremely important to the security of your website. Add a bunch of plugins and you have a lot more to keep track of.

Woocommerce is super easy to set up and I have build dozens of sites using it as our ecommerce plugin. Right out of the box its great if you want a simple set up.

Once you decide to add some frills to your shop, this is where Woo tends to fall short. A million plugins later and you're left with a pretty bloated shop. I wish more was bundled!

This software makes it easy to take the physical items I have and integrate them with my digital store. The integrations make updating my inventory easy and I can easily see what stock I have on hand, as well as upload this to my WooCommerce WordPress store.

I am on satellite internet and sometimes it can't reach the cloud server, but I also suspect that isn't the software's fault. It's easy to use and intuitive.

Better than many popular POSs. I use it in multi-mag and I have no difficulty in synchronizing my data. You will likely have everything you need to properly manage your inventory and sync your website hassle-free

We ended up not using WooCommerce because it didn't solve ALL of our problems. As a small startup, we wanted to cut costs as much as we could. WooCommerce could have solved 90% of what we needed, but due to costs associated with these problems (surrounding the booking of events), we didn't keep it.

perfect solution. We are working on linking this to the woo web shops for our customers. It becomes the retail version and module for all webshop users with stores. Development almost complete. Separate version FB Retail. Delivery within a few weeks. We are very enthusiastic.

If you have a web presence as well as brick and mortar, using WooPOS is a no-brainer. When my buddy expanded an online business and opened up his shop, the first step we took was moving his site to WordPress. I have years of experience with WooCommerce, so we gave WooPOS a shot too and it's made his life so much easier. The headache he anticipated from managing inventory between both, is nonexistent.

There's nothing to complain about here. From inventory management to order entry and fulfillment, WooPOS makes every process seamless, for customers and business owners alike.

Just setting up Woopos so still getting to grips with it but on the whole very impressed so far. Seems solid and functional and farily easy to set up and use. Importing files into the system to help set-up is working well so far so really please for the moment. Pricing seems a bit high as we expand and grow but hopefully will more than pay for itself.

Unfortunately, in the end the program was not conducive to my business (retail book store). It was only able to do certain things but not everything I needed. Example, the POS and inventory management was OK but the program could not sync with the eCommerce program I was using.

The interface and complicated setup. The system is hard to set up as it doesn't link easily with the SQL database. It was impossible to use on a weaker machine that isn't dedicated to the software.
