Good and easy to use these resource guru.

Vorteile

I like they developed a very good application which is easy to use and have the accuracy in it.

Nachteile

Nothing overall it's good.if developer can add some colour in content so it's looks better.

Resource Guru makes the scheduling easy!

Vorteile

It's easy to use and manage all information required. Nice UI and improved UX is one of the key things I get attracted to when using the system.

Nachteile

I can't think of cons as of now since I'm loving the app.

Kudos

As a small, but growing organization, we were having trouble measuring how our creative resources were being allocated. Resource Guru quickly solved that problem.

Vorteile

The software was very easy to implement and even easier to use. The reports page provides a great, visual presentation of our creative department's utilization for the week. Until we started using the software, we were unable to track enough data to inform a successful creative resource meeting. Now we have visibility into the upcoming weeks which has significantly decreased our dependence on freelance talent.

Nachteile

The waiting list and overtime feature can be a little confusing. The hours don't get added to resource bookings and increase the utilization percentage. It would be great if the overtime hours pushed the utilization percentage over 100% to clearly highlight over-allocated resources.

Thanks for taking the time to share your review! I just wanted to touch base on your request for utilisation to show at more than 100%. It's not possible to book someone for more than 100% of their time - our booking clash warning system prevents this to help ensure you always meet your deadlines, and without burning out your team. But if you want to overbook resources, you can do this by adding bookings with overtime, and overtime hours will be itemised in the "Overtime" column on the Reports, so it's easy to see where your team are overstretched.

Useful too for transparency across teams

Any questions I had were answered clearly and quickly. They are very accommodating and the tool has improved over the last 6 months as well. It has helped us streamline utilization and project assignments.

Vorteile

I love how easy it is to see a view of availability across multiple team members at the same time. I love the ability to color coordinate projects for an easy view of some major projects across multiple team members. Also easy to allow others permission to log in and see their utilization as well.

Nachteile

I have to manually enter in recurring meetings. I have not mastered an easy way to automate getting our clients and projects into the tool. would be good to multi select projects as well to get them closed or cleaned up.

I also wanted to mention that bulk editing and non-sequential repeat booking (i.e. a booking that repeats weekly/monthly) is very firmly on our roadmap. In the meantime you can use SHIFT+drag to copy bookings :)

Ou daily challange for organising and planning multiple teams and projects

As already written before, we are managing several teams and projects with the tool. It is our main tool, to organise the day to day work and do long term planning. We build an interface into our financial tools, to have an automated process to align budgets with the planning!

Vorteile

We like the easy to use approach and the overall visibility
Very important is the cooperation and management of a single resource with multiple people. To reduce the risk of double bookings or gaps...

Nachteile

There is very little what is not optimal. We are happy that overtime is possible now... but maybe a bit more reporting functionality would be good.. not as "extracts" more online!

and if I could whish for something, the integration into JIRA is something we would need!

Very useful tool use it every day.

Vorteile

Colour coding for different projects, profile pics to remind me of who is who, and I like that every day it shifts along the schedule so that today is to the far left.

Nachteile

Need more colours as we have many projects, also icons or stickers would be helpful. If we could upload a project logo that would be ideal.

Vorteile

Very easy to add projects and shift them around, all members can adjust things on the calendar like vacation/projects/holidays/etc

Nachteile

Sometimes hit split when I mean to look at an item. Would like it to be easier to change booker or show project manager and engineer in one booking so engineers can see which manager they're working with

A very good resource management tool for organizations

Vorteile

The user interface is excellent, and I can easily see projects I have been booked on with the number of hours I am supposed to work on them. Again I can easily see who has gone on leave and those who are about to leave. I can also see projects my colleagues are working on and how long they have been booked. I also get email notifications daily concerning my bookings on projects.

Nachteile

I really enjoy using resource guru, and I don't have any complaints about it. The team should look at adding more useful features that might increase its importance and efficiency

Getting left behind by other tools

Would move tools if I could.

Vorteile

All of the features that RG offers are in newer more UX focused tools. There's nothing in RG that really stands out about what I like the most.

Nachteile

The filtering, when I want to search for one of my projects, I only want to see that project. I don't want to see every person who's ever worked on that project in a list and show everything that they're working on at the moment.

Clean and efficient. Far better than not having it

Time saving, stress saving and it helps everyone. Top product that I'm glad is part of the business' routine.

Vorteile

visualizes and allows for future planning of time. Allows business wide visibility. Has made my life far easier with it. Is always part of the daily routine.

Nachteile

Lack of clear links to other platforms like outlook, google suite or trello. This would be the killer addition but as is it works really cleanly.

Easy to use

It allows us to readily document hours worked on each project. It would help to link it to Trello and a time tracker such as Toggl, or to add it's own time tracker, so instead of documenting retrospectively, you can time the activity as you engage in it. You could then compare this to booked hours (ie expected vs acual, as well as documenting a burn down of hours worked on a project).

Vorteile

It is easy to use and I can readily associate hours worked with a particular project as well as drag hours around on the schedule across different days. It easily allows multiple users and multiple projects.

Nachteile

We are not quite using it as intended. Some of our team are using it to document hours worked, rather than book hours to be worked. Hence, we don't need reminders about overbooking. These are a little irritating.

Reviewing the Guru of Resources

We can track the time and the breakdown of time we spend on overall projects across the entire team.

Vorteile

I like the colours, I like the visuals - it all makes sense. and really, it feels very satisfying to see the results of your tasks laid out against all your colleagues'.

Nachteile

I found it quite hard to log in, for some reason. I'm not sure about the cultural appropriation, either. But whatever, a huge plethora of contemporary tech businesses are conflating spirituality with productivity, so you're not alone there.

pretty ok

Used for reporting on current status of the work force as well as future planning for projects. The system is extremely easy to use and provides a great interface for managing resources. When screen sharing or meeting together, RG makes it simple to analyze which resources are available for which projects and determine who is over-booked. No training necessary and ready for complete use after just 30 minutes.

Going good!

Overall it has been very handy to manage and plan resources.

Great experience with the RG team, through from initial introduction, implementation and continued support when required.

It’s a game changer for our older antiquated system.

Excellent tool for tracking resources in a strongly visual format

It is a simple and efficient way to visually display tasks and staff availability. Allocate the tasks to staff and ensure optimal utilisation of the team.

Vorteile

It is well laid out and provides an excellent visual representation of staff, availability and what they are assigned to do for the near future. Very rapid data entry and manipulation. Easily accessed across all departments and by staff who need it. Web browser format is super convenient.

Nachteile

Tasks for individuals across weeks may not be displayed in the same order vertically, can be confusing.

Great viewing platform for forecasting labour across various jobs.

Nachteile

Good usage

Organising my schedule and time sheets, being able to tell what my colleagues are doing at a certain time.

Vorteile

Once you learn it it's easy to use, quite untuitive

Nachteile

it looks scary comlicated, but it's friendly once you get used to it.

Keep the jobs on track and help me to have a better view from other projects
