We have a high-ticket item and decades-lasting product. Our products are things that men hand down to sons. So having to keep my contacts so strictly under 1% disengaged if very trying. We only send to people who willingly sign up and it takes me longer each week to keep these contacts something that Omnisend wants it to be than a collective 6 months of writing email content!

Great email templates. It also offers SMS marketing which was helpful for my client beside email marketing. There's a free tier for up to 500 emails per month. Signup forms are available and 24/7 customer support. Essential features like Segmentation and A/B testing are also available.

Nachteile

It costs $59/month for unlimited emails but not unlimited SMS. The standard plan is cheaper $16/month but it doesn't serve a medium size list. Only 6000 emails and then pay as you go. The price, though, is higher than other alternatives.The number of allowed subscribers is also tricky and doesn't match the email volume allowed forcing you to get the Pro plan.

Price for performance doesn't come close to anyone. I think it is right there with Klaviyo but it is a lot cheaper. So that would be the part. Also i ti quite simple to use and to set up. The support is also very responsive but somethimes they don't have all ther right answers. But nevertheles they are there to help.

My least favorite feature is that i can't search by phone number in the contacts but you have to create a segment. I think the search needs a little work.

WE have 3 ecommerce stores in different territories - when creating automations and emails it should be easier to copy existing flows and templates from one store account to another - it often feels like this was forgotten in the original build of the software. I really do appreciate the live visitor feature, as it lets me see who and how many potential customers are interested in a specific collection or product.
I usually use the same template, less time spend on trying to figure out is any link is live. Time is money as they say, plus what's familiar, is easy.

Nachteile

I like to see when new signups happen. See their info to give them a special treat with their shipment. At the moment I don't see that option, though it may just be me not the system. As I say, I don't have much time to explore.

It's relatively good and easy-to-use software. It'll handle all your basic email/sms marketing needs and maybe more. They're growing and evolving as we speak - like literally, they've added a new email builder and a new form builder in the last couple of months. They take feedback quite seriously.
THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. They've got some amazing people behind the chatbox who go out of their way to resolve any and all of your queries.

PS. The new email builder is an amazing improvement over the last one. It provides you with way more control over your email - it still has space for more improvement.

Nachteile

A lot of things are missing at the moment. Since they switched to a new email builder, they lack the ability to edit your templates (built on the new system) after you've saved them. The forms from the old form builder are still a little volatile - for eg. we've had some major scaling issues on the website where the form wouldn't scale with the screen size. I personally design 60-70% of my emails in another software and import the images to omnisend; I would prefer more control over the layout and visuals as a designer.

Vorteile

The updated email builder functionality is great and makes adding and saving templates much easier. The stats are clear and laid out well in graphs and charts to compare to previous months. Plus, compared to some other CRM providers the cost is reasonable, especially for the functionality provided.

Nachteile

Some segmentation can be tricky. Also, we had an issue where one bounce from a newsletter we sent resulted in a lot of our emails subscribers being automatically unsubscribed, despite many of them having opened ALL of our previous emails. We had to add them back in manually and it was not possible to find out what had caused that bounce on just one of our newsletters.

I switched over from Mailchimp to Omnisend because of the price. It turns out, Omnisend's UI and email designer is much more my taste and preference. Very clean and easy-to-use drag and drop method for adding content into emails.

I haven't been able to utilize every feature in my plan yet because automations and subsets do get a bit confusing. But that's just me in general with this stuff.

Not Bad... I like the product and have been using it for 2 1/2 years - and I signed up originally because the price was great, but now, I don't love the platform for the price they now charge. The company raised the price significantly this past year... when I say significantly, I mean close to 400% -- and nothing really really changed for the price increase. I would have switched platforms actually because I don't like the following features, or lack thereof for the price they now charge:

- Lack of themes like pre-built Black Friday, Holiday, Cyber Monday, etc themes
- You have to re-fill in your social media information each/ every time you send a new email campaign
- Email templates they do have are somewhat dated, and are not fresh/ modern

The shopify email list was not yet out when I started and is missing many key features. Klaviyo is expensive for small business and has way much more information than you'll need for a small business.

Lots of automation which is easy to configure out of the box, and easy integration with our eCommerce platform and other marketing apps. It works for us 24/7 and helps convert customers.

The emails can be a little basic design-wise and it lacks a few features of its main competitors, but this is improving all of the time.

While the SMS feature is good, for it to work properly (and reason why we don't currently use it) is that the phone number has to be as local as possible. For Baltic state customers to receive number from US seems immediately suspicious compared to message from local or neighboring countries.

Omnisend is awesome because it's really affordable and the deliverability is pretty good. You'll be able to set up the main important automated emails sequences for ecommerce like: Cart Recovery, New Buyer Sequence, Winback Sequence, New Subscriber Sequence.. And broadcasts too obviously.

The interface is pretty easy to use.

It doesn't have an html editor. And the actual email editor is kind of limited. But considering the price it's still good software.

I do like that you can import your product descriptions straight to an email campaign, that makes it so much easier than uploading photos and adding descriptions each time to each campaign. The reports for each campaign.

On the free plan you can only import one product to begin an email campaign. Upgrading does give you better features and an additional ease of use.

I love the Live View so that I can see which products are being removed from the cart most often. I also love how easy it is to set up my marketing automations. Super user-friendly!

I still don't understand how to transfer my collected emails from Omnisend to my Shopify. I have tried multiple times to transfer them but no luck. Yes I reached out to customer support but I still had no luck.
I wish omnisend were able to choose which emails you can send certain campaigns for and organize the emails by categories since not all my email subscribers receive the same emails I have to constantly create new lists when I have a new subscriber to send them the current campaign to avoid re sending to previous subscribes who have already received it.

The product picker makes adding products to your campaigns a breeze and the predefined templates not only look great from standard but are super easy to customize.

When using certain features, e.g. product picker, it doesn't even attempt to pull a product description. also, when you use a single product tile, it doesn't remember whether it was image left or right so you have to change that every time.

Also, i found that the pricing structure was a little bit on the expensive side.

Also, i dont like that the "new subscriber" email cant be sent to people that sign up in store through shopify, it only works with those who sign up direct through omnisend from what ive seen.
