Great PHP-based Cart Software!
Vorteile
PrestaShop is free and open source which means you have complete control over customizing your shop. I wouldn't consider any software that didn't give you the source code. PrestaShop has premium options as well for non-techies.
Nachteile
A USPS integration module is not included by default - you have to get it from a third party. This is included by default in all the other open source cart software projects out there.

Good CMS to start with. Easy to use, good out of the box
Good CMS to start an e-shop.
Vorteile
I like it already looks good just installed. The default theme if fine, you can simply upload your products.
The interface is smooth and very intuitive.
Presta is quite popular so the majority of the plugins will be available on Presta as well.

- Limited configuration and customizations options
- Themes and plugins are quite expensive
- Hard to expand the shop, modules are expensive

Good basis for the online store
Vorteile
All that is required to create a quality online store, is present here. The default SEO modules can effectively optimize the pages, the control panel is clear and all this under a free license.
Nachteile
If you do not have experience in this business, working with PrestaShop will be very difficult for you, because the system lacks normal support and few useful materials on the Internet.

Great Online Selling Tool
Vorteile
Really jam-packed with features. From a template standpoint, you can always find something that suits your needs, whether it's a free or premium template. From a customer communication standpoint, you can notify your customers of changes in products, promotions, etc. all with the click of a button.
Nachteile
Being a free product, you're not going to receive the same type of support you'd get from one you pay for. This could result in sometimes lengthy periods without answers to your questions.

Do not waste your time with Prestashop
I would not recommend anyone work with Prestashop. They have tools to make it a good experience, but most people don't have a lot of experience with it and don't know how it works.
Vorteile
It is very difficult to find something that I liked about this product. Maybe I like that you can create a customizable website.
Nachteile
Prestashop backend is slow. Websites need to be updated frequently to use product. Installing the Facebook Pixel is difficult. Clients that use Prestashop usually have slow, out-of-date, and difficult websites.

Unless you can read & write PHP Skip it!
Pros includes pre-built templates, easy to configure webpages and very good back office tracking for visits, capturing customer information, creating invoices and logging and charting sales with lists and charts.
Cons include buggy shopping cart. Customers can't buy depending in device, shopping cart throws errors. Buying a pre-made template from Prestashop add-ons is deceiving as they don't cover or stand by anything sold there. Paid customer service directly from Prestashop is sub par. After 18 months on this platform I had to leave it because the even their best technical support couldn't fix it and provide a working shopping cart.

Vorteile
The way that you can manage allí the clientes within your data and know that everything it's arriving yo the right person.
Nachteile
I think the maim issue its that you have to do a lot of things by yourself. I think if there was a little mor of automatization, It Will be a lot better.

Great eCommerce system, easy to use
Prestahop is my personal favorite eCommerce system to use. Easy deployment, I can have a basic shop up in 30 minutes or less ready to sell products without extensive modifications to the system or my servers. Supports the major payment gate systems as well as popular shipping services. Customization is easy with its documentation. It's very straight forward and very detailed.
Vorteile
Easy to deploy. Free of costs. Very well documented and easy to employ new customized features.
Nachteile
Nothing bad to say .

You want it 'presto', go with PrestaShop!
There was hardly any learning curve, and this was my first use of a shop tool!
Vorteile
What I like the most about PrestaShop is its speed and ease of functionality. It was very intuitive to use since start!
Nachteile
I'm not using it for that long (less than a year), but so far so good. I don't have anything against it to remark, really...

Nachteile
I have no pros as soon they don't work with the customer, they are a scammers and they should be shut downBought a theme and didn't worked with the last version. Asked refund. Developer accepts refund but prestashop doesn't refund my money. That's why I quick understand that after I bought the theme I was interested in another one and told them to keep the money and pay them the difference and give me the other theme. They say don't want because they work differently. Yes, they do. They are a fraud. Opened the dispute to PayPal and now I'm waiting... avoid them.

Most e-commerce platform used
Prestashop is the best e-commerce solution for SMB and sometimes larger companies.
It provides all the functionality required to manage online sales. First implementation is simple thanks to all the modules and themes available in the Market place.
If you need to go further, you need some configuration or development skills but there are a lot of possibilities to extend the product. Latest version (1.7) is very powerful and focus on the merchant requirements.

No lo recomendaría por encima de otras
Vorteile
En cuanto a programación, es de código abierto por lo que te da la facilidad de cambiar cuanto desees.
Nachteile
Lo poco intuitivo que es el backoffice. Hay bastantes menús donde es imposible conocer donde está ubicado cada apartado al que se quiere acceder.
