Things beat out all similar applications I have used. This app is beautifully designed and is purposeful in all its features. My favorite part about Things is the ability to separate to-dos into separate projects. Projects help me to keep on task and not forget the essential items in my project. Within a project, you can create heading for group more task together. I cannot live without this app.

Nachteile

This app is wonderful. This application needs the ability to add colored tags to further organize to-dos.

The UI is fantastic! I use dark mode and looks great. Software is very easy to learn and use. Anyone can easily be on top of the software in no time. I use both the mac desktop app and iPhone app which are both superb. I've also got my calendar linked to the app so I also use Things as the "go-to" place to see what I have coming up on a particular day and so on.

Nachteile

I wish there was more customisation. For example when you receive an alert on mac, there's an "Options" button which lets you select either "Complete, Snooze for 10 minutes, Snooze for 30 minutes or Snooze for 1 hour". It would be great if we could create our own custom options here. Would just help me save some more time.

I've used Things for years, and it's changed my life. Any time I think "I should remember to do X later," I put it in Things and attach a date when I think I'll get around to it. When that day comes, Things gives me a reminder. Either I do that thing, or I move it to a later date. It's also easy to set up repeating tasks, e.g. to remind yourself of tasks you need to complete every month.

Nachteile

There's no support for search in the Logbook, where completed tasks go. Sometimes I think "Did I remember to do X?" and searching the Logbook would be the fastest way to confirm.

The ability to get tasks quickly into the inbox is one of the best features of this software.

I love Cultured Code’s dedication to simplicity. They don’t try to do everything, they try to do important things reallly really well and it shows. I love the design and user friendliness of the app.

Well, the title is an understatement! It's much more than just a GTD system, it's a complete, full featured, beautifully designed tasking software. Each version is a big step from its predecessor. Weather it's integration with Apple ecosystem, or its ease of use, Things is PERFECT

Nachteile

The only thing that I like least is it's pricing model. Let's face it, it's a bit pricy, specially that they do not offer bundles. iPhone, iPad, MacBook, each require a separate purchase. But hey, it's a great app, great to the extent that this didn't turn me off

The interface is so polished, so fast, and super intuitive! I've been in love with the latest version of Things since its release!

Things is one of the few softwares that can be described as perfect. It's perfectly balanced when it comes to features and usability and doesn't reinvent the wheel. It has everything you'd want as a power use, from a system wide to-do creation box to integration with other apps.

Tagging system could be a bit better. Also, GTD functionality could use dependent tasks where one can start only after the previous one finishes. Apart from these, the app is great.

Great for task management. You’re able to schedule not only when tasks are due, but when Things should notify you that you should start doing. Which is really helpful.

It’s also great for keeping all your notes together.

It’s more expensive than other options. I also found it was a little too much for what I needed (simple task management for myself).

I wanted a digital task management solution and tried a few different things before settling on this. I love how organized it keeps me. I love writing things down, but also prefer digital notifications this works well with my hybrid planning system. I love the inbox feature so as things come up I can add it there and then schedule it later. I like that I can group things by project and by area!! Love love love this!!

Things is a well-designed task manager that is very easy to use. Tasks can be organized into different categories, however I mostly focus on the Daily tasks. From a single button you can customize and tailor the new task however you like. Sliding left or right on the task exposes additional functionality like the ability to schedule tasks. Alerts can also be configured to prompt you. Things is not very noisy, it won't actively send many reminders and it doesn't ding you for not doing the task. The missed task just fall to the next day.

Nachteile

Unfortunately there is a separate cost for Things on mobile versus desktop. And the cost is higher based on the platform. Luckily I mostly only use the iPhone version. It would be nice if they had a "streaks" like feature since after a while I stopped prioritizing the daily tasks since they would just cascade over. The app is too trusting of human behavior and needs to nudge more frequently!

I like how the app is intuitive and easy to use. It fits in well with my GTD approach to task management, but having indented/tabbed subtasks visit without opening the main task would assist in this. I also like being able to organize items by date without necessarily having to use a separate calendar app.

Nachteile

I think I am still struck by some sticker shock with this app. Not only do you pay for the desktop version, but also separately for iPhone and iPad versions. Other to do list managers don't charge for every version, or charge you based on the number of devices that you use it on (e.g. Evernote). I would also like to see integration with more calendar options than just Calendar on the Mac.

Simple. Easy. Clean. This is my favorite ToDo app in the App Store. I have used almost all the top ones, and the not so top ones. I have sign up to many other services, even some that are so complex that learning to use them is a huge task. THINGS is the one I am staying with. I use it for work and for home, to travel and for projects. The thing I like most is the UI, stays clean no matter how many tasks it has on. Beautiful to look at, for the simplicity of it. I can connect it to my Airmail app and make tasks from there with all the info. So I have this only place I can admin my time with.

The price, a bit too high for me, although it is worth it, It made the choice difficult to make at the beginning.

I use Things daily for all of my household / personal type of tasks, and it is just about perfect. It is simple yet sophisticated, and it works like a dream. The Things team clearly put a ton of thought into this version, and it shows.

Shared projects! This is the one thing that is making Things a strictly personal product. If it allowed for more "teamwork" type features, I would use it for businesses purposes, as well.

It is incredibly simple to use and very customizable. I downloaded the iOS app and the Mac app and figured it out in all of about 10 minutes.

Having to think about what I wanted to name my lists and areas. It's so customizable that I got stuck figuring out how exactly I wanted to use it. As for the software, I have no cons at all.

Things helped in a variety of ways:
- It was the simplest task manager with advanced features
- It helped me organize tasks when all I needed was a couple of nested lists
- The design was very very appealing

What Things lacked was the robustness needed to manage tasks beyond just doing personal work. When I started to do work at a real company, it felt as if Things wasn't up to par. Consistently, I looked for ways to do things that should've easily been within Things but wasn't (easy ways to add long descriptions to tasks). After this, I looked for other to do software.

The attention to detail that's gone into this is incredible. Everything just works. Transitions are smooth, there are affordances throughout that let you know what's happening, and there is a robust feature set including tags, due-by dates, target completion dates, groups/folders/projects, and more. Moving tasks around is a snap, and the Today view helps me stay organized at a glance.

I'm using Things as my personal task manager, so I don't need sharing. Some might find that a drawback, not me.

The slow pace of development: version 3 was announced many years ago - about to be released now.
The iOS app should be universal for iPhone and iPad instead of being two separate purchases. The price is - after all - pretty steep.

LOVE the url schemes! Thank you! Makes it easy to work from Drafts and Bear, where I capture most of my ideas. Things makes it easy to view different aspects of my life and business so I can focus on exactly what my calendar says I need to be working on.

I can't put a finger on it, but I prefer to work in Things on iOS instead of MacOS. I think it's because the menus are more intuitive?

The UI is pretty and nice to work with. The customer support is excellent. They've been open to feature requests and have taken time to show me solutions and workarounds when I've needed them.

I use things for personal and business. I use it as a “brain dump” to make a quick to list I can later organize. I love that it works with Siri. It makes my life easier every day! I love that you can drag an email into it and turn that into a to do list item.
