Vorteile

The customer service and support are very quick to respond with a helpful solution.

The templating and editing interface is powerful and purposefully limited, making for very fast creation of great looking, responsive emails. We can import our own templates when needed, however I haven't bothered doing so yet.

The A/B testing and email send reporting is excellent and intuitive.

Campaign Monitor has added additional automation features just in the short time I've been with them, increasing their value to me as an ESP.

Nachteile

Not much, really. Some additional automation features and more advanced segmentation/list splitting would be about all I'd ask for so far.

Campaign Monitor makes it really easy to set up and deliver email campaigns and analyse the results of each campaign. The templates are brilliant for creating quality emails which look professional and clean all you need to do is put your content in. Campaign Monitor basically holds your hand every step of the way and make it easy for you to insert pictures, links, text, call to action buttons and more into your templates.

Nachteile

The biggest problem that I've been having lately is trying to send a preview email to myself...it never seems to work on a Friday! It can be really frustrating if I have something that I need to get done that day and I can preview it in my own inbox first. It seems to work every other day of the week though.

Recenetly Campaign Monitor has improved in terms of how easy their software is to use. In the past templates were a hassle to construct. Now there are quick presets which make things quicker and easier.

Nachteile

No real cons, but I have recently moved to Mailchimp. I have found Mailchimp to be a much nicer tool to use

As a sales company with over 100,000 contacts in our data base, the thought of reaching such a large audience without some outside help was daunting. Campaign monitor made the process a breeze, and given the integration with SalesForce, there wasn't much more we could hope for.

Nachteile

I was not the person who set up our account with Campaign monitor, but I inherited a system that didn't exactly adhere to their policies, so we eventually ran into an issue with them. It would have been nice if their support team was a bit more understanding and amenable to working together. They were pretty cut and dry with policy violations.

FANTASTIC customer service and technical support! Several times I've reached out to Campaign Monitor with custom questions, needs, or requests for assistance.

Not only has the support team been very swift to respond, but the responses are personalized, friendly, and truly helpful. Each time, they've taken the time to fully understand my need and situation, find a solution, and offer that solution quickly and up front.

These are real humans who can truly help and work hard to offer pro-active solutions, keeping us on schedule and on budget. I'm super pleased.

The import function is pretty cool. Simply paste a list into a form and it figures it out by itself.

The workflow is not always intuitive. More choices should be available at any given time.

We enjoyed using Campaign Monitor after switching from MailChimp. We were able to get up and running, fast.

We disliked that the platform seemed to be split between different names. Sometimes the login would redirect us to another website which was a bit weird.

What I like most about Campaign Monitor is it's ease of use. Very easy to put together emails to go out to our data base.

Nachteile

Some time we have issues with Campaign Monitor because it freezes and you have to start over. Just make sure you save alot while working on a campaign.

Easy to use - this is really important for time efficiency - and Campaign Monitor is perfect. Easy to import our client lists, easy to navigate and personalise our newsletters and easy to read the reports on the Statistics on our 'opens' so that we can control the 'bounces' or continued 'un-opens'.

I cant say I have anything negative to say about Campaign Monitor - it meets our needs quite well.

Campaign Monitor recently bought Conversio Emails. The price is very competitive for all the things it offers. Email campaigns, reviews, pop-ups, newsletters​, Abandon Cart functions. I have sent out multiple individual newsletters and abandon carts with success rates.

The Workflow function on the site was a little hard to set up and its why I do not send more out. When I turned it on it sent an email to every single person on my list.... when I just wanted it to send one to the new subscribers from that time forward.

I love that this is a top quality newsletter software product that my company can generate revenue with. It is one of the best out there so to add an opportunity to resell and integrate with our existing business is amazing. Has all the great features you would want and even as a reseller do the billing.

Just one of the best white label software I've ever used and fully customizable. Love each month getting a check and not really needing to do anything but add clients to it.

There is nothing to not like. My only ask would be to allow resellers to make way more margins off of the product.

So easy to use, it’s not even possiable to access the HTML or SQL. Anyone can pick this tool up easy.

Usually you compromize ease of use for robust, advanced features. But, there’s not too many issues with this. Sometimes I have to be creative, but I have always made it work. I hope to see more on the automated program features - like being able to exclude if they’re on another list.

I began using Campaign Monitor because it had more editing capabilities than MailChimp. I work in a marketing department for a fairly large company - we have a few designers but sometimes I needed to make a few small tweaks on my own (without having to bother our designers). As a result, I found the platform to be fairly intuitive. I did end up outgrowing this service from an editing capability as well as features, but for a small or mid-size company this service may be just fine for you.

I had wished for more editing capabilities than what was offered with this software.

Creating a visually engaging email campaign is very easy. I am able to base my design off of one of their many templates, then customize each part to match our brand. It was easy to learn how to use without needing any coding/html knowledge.

Nachteile

I imported many leads to my email list on Campaign Monitor and some times, it would make duplicates or not import correctly. It could also be how I am formatting, but it got frustrating when I would then have to manually go through the leads.

Campaign Monitor was a brilliant find for me as I explored various options for Email Marketing for clients. Their user interface is pleasing and template options, plentiful. I'd say that this was one of the easiest platforms to integrate and out of the box ready. It seems like they are favored in terms of integrations with popular software so that is a plus. Overall I like the feel of the style on the template library and deliberately was perfect each time. For a sensible and wildly affordable option take them for a test drive and you will come to see why I put them at the top of my recommended list.

I wish the option of landing pages was also included so it could be an all in one. I also appreciate though that they stay in their lane and perfected their offering which I believe they have.

I can manage all of my leads and email lists all in one place. I can choose which list to send a campaign to, and it will not send to duplicate emails. I can save and reuse past campaigns. The analytics are helpful to track campaigns and who opened an email and when.

We have a variety of people on staff and not everyone is able to code at the same level. This platform allows us to get ANYONE to hop on and put an email together to get it out the door. Love love love this program. The updates and reporting on each email is also actionable and very insightful.

You have to keep your files really organized or else you can get "lost" when finding stuff. So when you first set it up make sure you have folders and files appropriately named.

Campaign monitor is clean and modern and because of it's designed, it's very easy to use and understand. You also have a range of templates to choose from. This is best if you are not very technical and find it easy to use a drop and drag function.

They also give you access to your statistics and you can export your database if you need to upload it to another service.

They also continuously grow their services and have now added automation, insights and transactional emails.

You can also design your own email using code and upload the code as a template to Campaign Monitor

You pay for everytime you send out a batch of emails where some email marketing services are free.

The customer service takes a while to get back to you.

Sometimes the code you upload won't look as good when its embed into Campaign monitor, Sometimes the functionality of the code goes off.

The email campiagn you send out can look better on chrome than safari

White label; regular improvements to software; drag and drop works well and a lot of functionality -- but you do have to think creatively. Have never had the emails not appear appropriately on various devices. Good reporting.

Would like an option to add names other than through a spreadsheet; ability to adjust the code (of course, that could break the delivery track record I spoke about earlier).

We've tried Campaign Monitor's tools and loved it, such as HTML testing and campaign analytics. They have a great documentation which helps us improve e-mail marketing campaigns overall.

It's really easy to create a simple email template, add texts, links and images, and preview how it will look on mobile and desktop. Additionally, it's only about three or four clicks to schedule a campaign to go out to a subscriber list.

Beyond text, images and links, there isn't much you can do with this software if you can't code. You can't add plug-ins or widgets to the email. That's why I'm considering another email services.

We have used Campaign Monitor for some time now, and it works well. There is a good overview of the different campaigns you have sent, while there's also possibility for split testing. Does the job on a regular basis.

Some pros for this app are the price point, campaign statistics reporting and integration with Salesforce.

This app appears to be geared towards smaller organizations that do not have a technical staff on board to manage the marketing. It has been so watered down to be user friendly that it not very robust or customizable. It does have a Salesforce connector to track some campaign data in Salesforce. The volume of data that often gets tracked, while important to companies, eats up Salesforce data storage very quickly. If you are not careful with how you manage lists and segments, costs can quickly creep up and become overwhelming.

This was the first email marketing platform I've ever used and I gotta say it was a breeze to work with. I only had some basic HTML knowledge and that helped a lot, but other than that I relied on Campaign Monitor to teach me how to use it.

I'd love for the design to be more customizable, but I guess that would make for a more complicated product.

I like that it enables you to create great looking email without any prior experience or knowledge coding or building emails. They have a drag and drop email builder that allows you to quickly create beautiful, responsive, mobile-friendly emails in an easy to use interface. Their marketing automation features are also much easier to learn than some of their competitors.

Nachteile

For advanced email marketers with coding and development knowledge, Campaign Monitor is a little too simple. It really is geared to marketers who don't have a lot of development knowledge and lacks some of the features of Salesforce's Marketing Cloud.

- Not flexible for completely customizable email bodies. We are unable to allow our designers to completely design the emails themselves as it lacks some functionality.

I absolutely love Campaign Monitor. While I've used a variety of other tools, it is by far the most streamlined tool I've experienced while offering the best looking emails. I was really impressed with how intuitive the user experience is and how good the templates looked across all browsers and devices.

So far I haven't found anything I dislike. Perhaps an easier way to move and sort contacts between lists would be helpful, but it's pretty straightforward already.

It offers a great variety when it comes to creating fantastic campaigns that users quickly accept. Thanks to Campaign Monitor, we can create and manage large campaigns whose ROI is acceptable.
We can personalize the messages, have emails answering the questions, all automatically, in addition to checking all the mail that arrives in the tray. The campaigns were never as personalized as the ones we can create in Campaign Monitor.

Nachteile

The design is difficult to achieve so far, because they are templates that have very little and can be redesigned or changed completely.
The design must be broader or the range of images for posters and specific campaigns.

The worldview it's fun right? Now, for things that matter more: it has nice templates and relatively easy to implement. Customization could be improved. In the end if you get the job done, coming in than all it's left for you to do is watch those people opening your emails on worldview while siping your favorite drink, eh? ;)
