ASP.NET Core MVC grid has incredible features and flexibility. Price is very reasonable. Quality is excellent overall. Customer support consistently exceeds my expectations. Online chat with support is very good. Documentation is extensive and overall quite good. TONS of examples.

Nachteile

Lack of built-in support for concurrency checking, but luckily not a show stopper for us.

It seems lack of unit tests to their products. For example, some correct Excel equations could be messed up for some reasons which may scare users.

Things are changing so fast that a lot of your documentation hasn't kept current with the latest changes, which sometimes makes it hard to implement some of the newest features. It also makes it difficult because if we find a thread on the community forum, often its outdated because the product itself has changed recently.

Your examples are always geared towards sample data included which isnt reality for most of us. For those of us using microsoft visual studio essentials , we are often using their technologies on the back end .So being able to integrate your tools directly with entity framework and scaffold generated code as the starting point- and how we go from there with real backend databases would be much more helpful. Most of my calls from Syncfusion support did result in better examples using real databases on backend. Lots of calls could have been avoided with more of the above and more examples of step by step tutorials integrating with Microsofts recommended approaches for core mvc , core razor, and blazor.

Implementing a feature that is not part of the main feature set is not always clear, and given solutions are kind of 'hacking' on the main component. Life-cycle is not always clear, and not all available events can be found on the online documentation

Overall the suite of tools in Essential Studio for Blazor are excellent and really fill a lot of design voids I have as full stack developer. Most notably the DataGrid is an amazing tool for displaying data and has enough built in functionality to make it a one stop shop for visualizing tabular data.

The documentation overall is very good and SyncFusion's response to technical questions is nothing short of great.

Nachteile

Overall very little. There is a bit of a learning curve when starting fresh but nothing more then what can be expected from a toolset like this that can be leveraged in several different ways.

I have invested Grid control, in WebAssembly configuration, using EF core. It works fine.
Support is very prompt and good.

In some cases, events handler, Data Manager of UI controls are black boxes without more details.

The product updates are provided by them on a routine basis as per the updation in the market requirement. They try to develop similar scenarios at their end if any issue is raised and try to resolve it.

This is the most feature complete and active suite on Xamarin Components. It has all the necessary components to produce Professional quality software. Furthermore Syncfusion is very active and keeps updating and introducing new functionality on every release. This suite is the best money for value suite that you can buy.

Nachteile

Native mobile development using Xamarin Forms is inheriting complex task as you have to deal with different version of the same O/S and on top of that for Android you have various customizations of the O/S. In some -few- occurrences it took Syncfusion long time to fix bugs.

Wanting to start with a really simple, easy to understand example of delivery MSSQL data to the grid control. For new users, a staged suite of examples would be alot more powerful. Trying to show the optimal use of the control in an example just confuses new users as they have to understand what is "mandatory coding" vs "nice to have additions".

The controls design is very elegant and professional looking, easy to integrate and helps you to deploy project with very good design and performance. Covers a lot functionality that most of your projects needs from a simple button control to charting.

Nachteile

I think cost is the only thing I can consider as cons for this software. A little bit costly for start up business but I worth the value.

There are are quite a few OCR products out there that take a PDF or image input and extract the text. However, we were particularly interested in getting a PDF output with embedded text so that our users can view the document in its original form but at the same time, search through the document, as well. SyncFusion's OCR Processor, did just that.

Nachteile

We ran into issues with certain PDFs and as a software engineer, I had to work around those problems by first converting my input PDFs to TIFF images, stitch them back together again as a single PDF and then run the OCR functionality over it. It would be nice if SyncFusion's OCR processor did that out of the box so that I didn't have to write those workarounds.

Syncfusion works well in my Visual Studio environment. It provides default functionality that helps with rapid development but is also customizable for specific needs of my apps.

I am still a learner in developing web apps. To be 'really' good with the more advanced functionality, you need to know java pretty well. It's not really a con of Synfusion but a reality of using these type tools.

I am using dotnet core version. The documentation is not organised properly. The online documentation and example does should mention the compatible framework versions. Have to ask support and in return they send updated demos. Can be solved easily if the documentation is kept at par with the development and organised as per release of DotNet Core frameworks and syncfusion release numbers

Nothing like that. Blazor is still not released from Microsoft. So features might be enhanced. However I am getting full support when I stuck with issue.

We are mainly using document editor from syncfusion. It's an excellent product. It's better than many other product in market in terms of accuracy document editor maintain the formatting of work document perfectly. It's almost identical to MS WORD. It's also very easy to integrate in our existing product. Also support staff is excellent they responded to my queries correctly and accuratly.

Nachteile

Though document editor identical to MS Word it do not provide support of all MS word features. Also syncfusion do not have support for AngularJS (version 1.*). Our product is on angularjs version 1.7 so we have to use their javascript library. Having angularjs library would have been better feet for us.

Sometimes it's a bit difficult to integrate the components properly as they largely relate on javascript (not 100% pure native blazor); (load) timing becomes important and obscure problems can occur. In those cases though, the customer service is good to solve the issues.

Certain tools are very buggy, with new releases sometimes re-introducing the same bugs or continuously creating more. The document editor is amazing but we always seem to have some small problem with it.
Although very customizable, it can sometimes be very difficult to figure out how and what needs changing or overriding in order to achieve the customization.

We have used Syncfusion charts. We see most of the required features and it is easy to integrate and its supports the MVVM framework too

Nachteile

As Charts provide a lot of analytic information unified at one place visually, it also needs annotations support to set the context. We were looking for custom shaped annotations which would bring completeness to the suite of chart options Syncfusion already has. This is what I miss the most in the software.
