I liked Whova for the SHRM conference because it showed me the scheduled events, vendors and attendees.

Nachteile

I didn't have any problems with the app.

I loved how it connected me with other attendees, I feel that my experience was much richer because I could intentionally meet people. I also loved being able to build my agenda in the app.

I wish it had a map of the conference location, and had shown where I was going next on the map.

Easy to use and much flexibility. Great cross-referencing of contacts and many ways to categorize them. Meetups, private messaging, both public and "my (selected) agenda", contacts AND speaker content available months after event--best meeting platform of its kind I've seen to date

Nothing about the App, but must get your host event planners to communicate that Whova is being used--without knowing who/what Whova is, early invites and messages got quarantined by my company apps.

It is very user- friendly and easy to figure out. When I am stuck, I can get help easily and quickly.

My experience with Whova is limited to the National SCL Conference. I have no complaints at all with the Whova app. It gave me everything I needed to attend the conference and experience the benefits it offered. My only regret is that the SCL does not offer all of its workshops on the Whova app, so I have to be happy with limited options. I imagine this is probably due to the cost of streaming or recording the workshops, so they probably have to limit what is offered. It would be nice to be able to access all of the workshops.

It was easy to navigate (once I was able to get into the conference). I loved that I could see the schedule for each day and select which sessions to follow.

It was tricky to get into the specific conference because I couldn't find the email with the join info. I also wish it were easier to see which rooms the events were in without having to open each session details page.

Whova provided a detailed schedule, as well as options for what sessions were available. Whova allowed me to make a custom schedule based on what talks or groups I wanted to participate in. Whova also provided a place to post pictures and questions for different sessions, as well as interact with other attendees.

Nachteile

Whova had a lot of different components that made it overwhelming.

Having all information in a single place to access. The ability to access from my phone. Information was updated in real-time, so I was never behind on an update.

It may have been User Error, but I couldn't get my sessions to sort in date/start time order.

Connecting and getting to know other participants in the Child Care Summer was the best part of the Whova App.

Agenda icon was small and at the bottom. It should have been a larger button like leaderboard was.

I actually enjoyed the connection that Whova offered. At first I was very hesitant. thought it was a gimmick or a novelty item. But after connecting with a few people in the chat or messages, I real started to enjoy it. I also met up with some people in person. It drove me to connect in ways that I wouldn't normally wouldn't.

It took me a while to figure out the how to navigate it... but I also don't pay attention to on screen instructions or prompts. So that could have been my own doing...

Whova's mobile app is incredibly easy to navigate for first-time users. And there are so many interactive features for attendees that give event coordinators insight into their attendees' engagement and satisfaction levels.

Sometimes a bit difficult to navigate, but once used it a few times became easy. But at first there was a learning curve. If a short event, may not be enough time to learn all the functions. But I am not a techy so perhaps it was a user issue!

I really enjoyed the agenda feature in Whova. As a person who likes to plan ahead, it's important for me to be able to organize my day and know what's ahead. Using Whova, I could not only see the entire agenda for the conference, but I could select which courses/workshops I wanted to attend and create my own personal agenda which filtered out the classes I was not attending.

Nachteile

Honestly, there wasn't much I didn't like about Whova. If I had to pick something, it would be the hundreds of notifications I could receive throughout the day. But there are ways to turn those off too... so it's not all that bad. However, if you're one that likes to clear out all the red notification marks, you could potentially spend a lot of time going through the app.

Very easy and practical to use - friendly. Liked the fact that I could reach each person and pre-plan who I want to meet or engage with while at the show. Agenda and sessions where displayed well and attactive to visitors.

Download option for session attendees. Loved the viewablitity and ability to interact with the other registrants before or during the event. Love the coupon or special offer option - nice to be able to showcase

There seem to be endless options and it’s really user friendly. I’ve been able to navigate it pretty well without watching tutorials or needing support.

They have a lot of add-on features but for an additional cost. It just seems a little nickel and dime like.

Sometimes when we are in WHOVA point wars, it can get a little over whelming with notifications, however the point wars sure was fun throughout the conference.

the display of the sessions needed a bit more mobile friendly viewing/UX design. i was overwhelmed at times, not always, by the need to pick among four sessions and being unable to view the full titles to make that decision.

The details of the meeting were very accessible. [sensitive content hidden] and the SCSRC team are amazing. They always provide a great meeting. Whova was a tool I think assisted them with providing meeting details to attendees and vendors.

I do multiple trade shows per year. There are a few event apps, but I am delighted to see the event using Whova. This app has the networking part figured out. A few days before each show, I can start networking by messaging other visitors and creating discussion topics (e.g., ask the locals for restaurant recommendations or start discussions around the subject of the event/industry). The gamification to get high on the leaderboard is another way of getting attention. During the event, the app provides real-time updates.

Nachteile

The UI could use a bit of an overhaul. It's not necessarily intuitive, and I still find myself in situations where I'm lost ("Where was this poll again?"). By the end of an event, I have it figured out, but I only use the app a few times a year. So, that familiarity degrades before the next event.

I am an attendee so my answers are from that perspective. Whova is easy to navigate and find information I need to decide which sessions I want to attend. There are mechanisms for sending questions to the speakers ahead of time. There is a good social platform so that attendees can do virtual meetups and see who else is attending. It is easy for an attendee to create a discussion topic or recommend and article or conference. Entries to questions and polls are propagated quickly through the system so there is no confusion about whether I have entered a response to a poll. I love the Leaderboard function. It encourages attendees to post on the platform and is a nice distraction from the serious nature of the conference.

Nachteile

There is limited ability to respond or add anything other than text to most questions. For example, I wanted to let fellow attendees know about an upcoming conference but my only choice was to enter text to describe it. I had some graphics from the PR Kit associated with the conference that it would have been nice to upload but I could not find a way to do that.

The event is so huge this app was really a great way to get your information to people that you couldn't see personally and you could set up meetups with them five stars.

I liked the convenience and the simplicity to utilize the app. I loved the more you did on the app the more points you received. So this challenged me to do a few things more than normal like reach out to a co-worker attending the same convention.
It was a great app and worked seamlessly. I also loved that my phone's battery was not used heavily when using the app. It was also neat to see that seating was limited or full to capacity in a session.
