Whova for FCIS convention 2024
Great. Loved it. I would definitely use it again.
Vorteile
Great way of building a community. It helped with getting to know the attendees and have an agenda ready.

Whova for the WIN!
It was great! Perfect for connecting participants.
Vorteile
All the options to be involved and keep my schedule straight each day!
Nachteile
It was a bit overwhelming at first. The surveys would kick you out to the home screen once one was done, so you had to go back in after each one. If you have a few to do, it was a bit of a process.

Whova for the Win!!
I really enjoyed the way we were able to interact as a whole and in small groups. I loved seeing people reach out to meet up. It felt so welcoming for being a first timer.
Vorteile
It was a great way to stay in the know. The way we were able to reach out to each other in the app was awesome.

My Experience with Whova
I love the app and will take some time to learn more about it.
Vorteile
I only experience some of the registration aspect and I was really happy with the app. I liked the fact that I could check in registrants at the same time they collected their badges and paraphernalia. It allowed me to see who was not checked in. Overall it made the registration process an ease. I was able to find the session agenda for each day and this made it quite easy to direct the registrants to the correct rooms for their sessions.
Nachteile
I did not delve to much into the app to give an opinion.

Positive - easy to access
Would like also to be able to access most same functionality from desktop as I did from my mobile device, once I am back from the event in the office

Easy App for All Ages
Downloaded the app, located my event, and viewed the schedules for each day. Added sessions to my calendar, attended the session, uploaded photos from each session.
Vorteile
User interface was brilliantly done and the layout was perfect. It was super easy to find my sessions and post photos from the event.

I don't have a single complaint about Whoa.

Conferences done seamlessly!
Whova is awesome! I have used it for 3 years now.
Vorteile
Whova is such a great app that can be used for conferences, events, etc. It has features like photos, polls, direct messaging and more! The calendar/ itinerary for the conference can even integrate with your phone calendar so you can be sent reminders before upcoming session with guest speakers. Genius! Truly award winning event management.
Nachteile
No complaints about Whova. It is great and I would continue to use it.

I've used it for three, coming up on four conferences. It works well.

Great app for attending the program events.
It really was an easy to access, user-friendly and didnt seem to require high band-width,

A very good event app!
I enjoyed using this app for the conference. It allowed us to go paperless and allows for custom built agendas.
Vorteile
It is very easy to use! I love the custom built agendas and the ability to modify those as the conference progresses.
Nachteile
It is almost too easy to use - I felt overwhelmed by the number of comments and questions in the Community section - maybe that needs one more level of organization that the conference chair could implement (for us it might be "ethics" "teaching strategies" etc. The map of the conference rooms was buried in the general description of the event. It would be awesome to have a link to "conference map"

Used the agenda, the slides and when in session, if sitting far from the presenter and screen for the room, I could use it on my desk ...
Vorteile
All consolidated in one place. The app on my iPad was useful during the presentation. And we could use it if attending virtually.
Nachteile
At first, I had a hard time to navigate... but quite easy once we scrolled around. Not sure if it changed, but I found it easier to use this year than prior years.

Best conference / tradeshow app I've used
Not much to say that hasn't been covered above. Great to track events and papers being given at a show.
Vorteile
Easy, useful, we have used it for a tradeshow with about 600 attendees for 2 years now, definitely gets way more traction and use than any previous solution we've tried. Also perfect to use for lead tracking for exhibitors at a show.
Nachteile
No real cons. Wanted to create a poll in the Community of a conference and at first it wasn't as obvious as the other features of Whova.

Whova is essential at a conference
Whova takes a conference and puts the whole thing on my phone. It is great to be able to see the entire schedule and a list of the presenters.
Vorteile
It was a very easy reference for the scheduled events of the conference. It allowed me to have the schedule at my fingertips the whole time.

Excellent app for attendees
It was excellent. I would recommend it for anybody. It didn't crash or anything either.
Vorteile
Loved that it had the customizable calendar so you could add which sessions you wanted to go to and organize your own day. I also loved the attendee profile and the community messaging function; those are incredible! We could set up events to network and get to know other folks attending the conference and I had never seen that before, so that blew me away a little bit. I also loved how you could see the presenters slide decks beforehand to help you decide which session to attend and to see them after the session! Truly awesome.
Nachteile
I would just love to see a mass conference general channel (like Slack) for major announcements: someone lost a phone and I was looking for something like that to notify everyone if they saw one.

As the company admin, I plan and attend most events that we sponsor. This app made it very easy for my staff to gain access to the event without having to have me print tickets or itineraries.
Nachteile
Our company made an event after the conference and promoted it within the app but it was difficult for me to find after it was published. Seems maybe it would be beneficial to have a separate space within the app that has your activity in one space, so it is easy to find.

Amazing Addition to any Event
Overall, I highly recommend the app to anyone facilitating a large event with multiple panels and speaking engagements. It made the event feel more personal. Its a great way to keep people hyped about the event and also create a buzz around all the events and meet-up opportunities.
Vorteile
As an event attendee, the Whova app played a pivotal role in my attendance. The app allowed me to prepare well in advance, get familiar with each speaking engagement, and connect with other attendees. All of which, really encouraged my involvement with the week-long events. One great opportunity was the virtual meet-ups that I was able to create. Also, the leaderboard was a great idea. This kept attendees coming back to the app every day if not multiple times a day.
Nachteile
Really, the downside was more technical issues. App refresh issues, continuity between app and full website, and things of that nature. Not being able to click on a user's name or photo within chats to get to their full profile. Things that would make it easier to navigate. One major issue was when I set up my virtual meet-up I was not able to find info on how to facilitate. I need to plan things out, so I wasn't sure how the meeting would go. And, quite honestly between the time I made the meet-up to the night before, I forgot that the Whova app would be able to host the virtual meetup so I decided to host it on Zoom.

Conference went smoothly and I am able to utilize what I learned more readily.

Whova takes conference apps to a new level!
This was my first time using the Whova app. I didn't expect as much interaction among conference attendees as there was and am very pleasantly surprised.
Vorteile
Whova has so many more interesting features than other conference apps I have used. It only took me a few minutes to learn to navigate. The easy and interesting user experience makes it enticing for more conference attendees to actually use the app. Attendees loved posting event photos and liking other's photos.
Nachteile
I wish I had known that the key representative for our company profile on the app would be the only person capable of making edits to our company profile. I usually take care of those tasks, but I listed the owner of our company as the main contact. Therefore, I had to use the app on his phone to make necessary edits.

I think Whova offers lots of great options for people who want to expand their use but also is good for people who use the basic functions. Enjoyed having the agenda on my phone.

Great tool for speakers
This was a great tool for speakers and attendees. Easy to use and very helpful when attending meetings
Vorteile
As a speaker it was extremely helpful to view the people who signed up for my session and to have my sessions immediately pop up. It was also very nice to be able to respond to questions form attendees prior to the session. I have already recommended the app to my daughter who is a partner in an accounting firm that has meetings every year as a great tool for her attendees.

Helpful Whova Experience
Excellent. I did notice when I entered the app that my previous conference messages appeared. If there was a way to separate from previous conferences attended...this would be helpful?

All details of the conference were in one place, including attendees' contact information, session information (time/place, etc.) as well as being able to create my own personal agenda for the days.

It was a bit difficult navigating the Messaging portion (who was the message coming from....Whova or an individual attendee?)

It was easy to maneuver the app. everything was laid out for convenience.

Good platform for conferences
I've used Whova as an attendee at a number of conferences. It's been a positive experience.
Vorteile
It's easy to navigate and find information on the different sessions
Nachteile
When opening a video for a session I have to click back a few times to get back to the full agenda and exit out of the video
