Depending on what level of account you have, you can be limited in response options. Unlimited everything is the way to go if you're going to be utilizing the software often or have a lot of responses you intend to collect.

Qualtrics Research Core makes it extremely simple to both design functional (and non-clunky!) surveys and to analyze the results. The surveys themselves are clean and easy to navigate for your survey-takers. Qualtrics lets you analyze your results using several different metrics, which can reveal data you weren't previously expecting.

Nachteile

Sometimes there are too many features and it can be overwhelming. Once you get to know the software more, however, it's more natural.

I love how you can add logic to surveys and segment your audience into really granular categories. The mobile user experience is fantastic.

Qualtrics makes is so much easier to distribute assessments to participants. There are multiple formatting options when designing your measure so you can make multiple types of assessments. You can also edit the way the assessment appears on a mobile device. Additionally, I love how it seamlessly tracks responses and converts all the data to an excel file.

You have to pay for a subscription in order to get access to all of the software's functions.

I work for a research company and we have evaluations that we complete over the phone or through the web. Before we purchased Qualtrics, we had an in house tool that was broken and slow. You can customize the product to your needs and it has a very pleasing aesthetic.

Qualtrics has all the functionality that I need it to have. The interface is user-friendly and easy to use. There are numerous ways you can set up your survey. It is advanced features to make the survey just like you want it.

There isn't any real con with the software itself, however, some people may find it to be expensive. I am able to use it for free as it is through the University but I can understand that the price may not be appealing.

Qualtrics provides a variety of great tools for conducting research. Qualtrics Research Core makes it extremely easy to create a survey to assess the needs of your audience or to find out the habits or activity of a population. This program is great for a wide variety of applications. We use it very frequently and are always very pleased with the ease of use, the power of the program, the results that it provides and the analysis of the results. This program makes the data collection aspect of my job very easy, and the results it provides are simple to understand and allow us to easily apply it to the research we are conducting.

Qualtrics also provides feedback for survey optimization to make sure that the survey will work properly on a wide variety of devices. This is nice to see since we want to make sure that all of the participants are able to easily give us their feedback and complete the survey rather than quit halfway through due to a technical issue.

Nachteile

I have yet to find any significant cons that aren't a result of my inattention or mistake. This software works great.

I appreciate that Qualtrics uses logic to allow me to route users towards and away from questions or groups of questions based on previous answers. As a survey taker nothing fatigues me more than being asked irrelevant questions that should be excluded based off my prior answers. It has great tools for distributing and reminding, and makes it easy to check the status as well as collect responses and import into Excel.

Nachteile

The Excel data does need some cleanup, which is unsurprising but I do wish I had more control (or simpler control) over what the output looked like.

The thing I liked most was having the ability to call Qualtrics for help with setting up our surveys. We have been fortunate to work with the same person on two surveys so far. Qualtrics does a great job in asking you questions to figure out what you are really looking for in survey responses. We have done freeware like SurveyMonkey but were not getting the reach we were looking for in responses. Qualtrics had a great survey interface that is customizable among several different themes.

Qualtrics does a great job. I don't think anyone will regret working with them. Call in for help.

Qualtrics has nearly unlimited options for customizing the survey that's presented to the end user (question types, question organization, etc), and is incredibly powerful for reaching lots of users. It also makes exporting your responses easy to do in a wide range of formats.

Nachteile

Because it's so powerful and complex, it's also got a pretty steep learning curve. On the bright side, there's great documentation to help with this learning curve!

Qualtrics makes creating complex surveys very simple. Within the creating survey functions, we are able to ask a diverse set of questions, such as, stratified questions, rating questions, questions based on images or videos, and much more. Another great benefit is it is easy to distribute surveys we create. Users follow a simple link and are able to take the surveys on their phone or computer.

Nachteile

On occasion we have had users report that the videos placed in the survey have not loaded properly. To solve this, users would have to refresh the page.

Vorteile

Easy to configure an NPS question and link into existing studies, offers industry standard studies like SUS "out of the box." (Or our administrator made templates that look like built-in features)

It was more difficult to customize the questions in Qualtrics than in other products used to manage user surveys.

I don't remember anything I did not like about Qualtrics CoreXM . Perhaps, they should develop the settings in a way that the subjects of an experiment cannot scroll the video attached to the Qualtrics.

When a Qualtrics survey is opened by a participant, you can rest assured that it demonstrates professionalism. The look is clean, straight-forward, and appealing. It also has many options when creating your survey. I do not believe I've ever come across something I need it to do that it doesn't.

Nachteile

While creating a the survey is easy to do, I find that the next steps are not self-explanatory or user-friendly. For example, if I send out a ballot and I want to ensure that folks only get one vote, setting that up is not as easy as creating the ballot itself.

The software is extremely easy to use. It covers a wide variety of options. The support is second to none - you can search online or talk to someone. In the latter case they have always solved any issue or concern. Great company to work with. The offline capability is also outstanding.

It's flexible. It has options for online and offline surveys. Importing questions from previous surveys is seamless, editing and reordering questions is simple. There are built-in features for a wide range of question and response situations. Qualtrics overs 24-hour support and tutorials for complex programming tasks to get you the design you need. The support staff are professional, friendly, fast and knowledgeable.

Ocassionally I've run into glitches and had to delete and re-enter questions to get rid of an issue. Editing (and re-editing) wouldn't fix the issue.

The feature of Qualtrics I like the most is that the sky is the limit in terms of it's versatility. One can make a very simple, straight-forward survey or one can use sophisticated logic and make a very complex survey. This versatility allows me to use Qualtrics for any job I have.

Nachteile

In it's current state the Insight Platform reporting features are less-than ideal. They are making progress and things are getting a little better, but there is a long way to go. I still am not able to customize my graphs using the reporting tool like I really need to do.

Market research is a convoluted field these days. Distributing surveys is a tough sell because everyone wants to do it and marketers ruin everything. Qualtrics allows survey distribution to be made simple with excellent reporting tools. The form tool is nice as well, it doesn't look too templated or generic and allows for customization.

Nachteile

The training materials are a bit lacking. They have some out there but it isn't as detailed as you'd hope. This is made somewhat okay because the software itself is so well designed that most things come to you intuitively.

Vorteile

The ease and robustness of the functionality of Survey Design, in particular the features within Survey Options and Tools is very robust and allows you to customize specific to your needs. Data and Analysis tab also has great functionality.

Nachteile

My least favorite feature for the Qualtrics ResearchSuite platform would have to be the Reports tab, as it has limitations in terms of reporting formatting ability. And the downloads to Excel require that I do some significant formatting on my own to get it to my specific needs. But its good value for the money.

I utilize Qualtrics to collect an array of institutional and employee data. It is easy to build and export your data. They also have updated and given a guide that tells you ways to improve your survey before you publish it.

I love how easy it is to use. For the most part, I am able to figure out detailed changes without consulting with FAQs online. It's a very logical setup, easy to share links, and has an aesthetically pleasing layout.

The only thing I've struggled with so far is the default reporting. I don't like that each question is on a new page; that's not very useful in any context for which I apply it. I wish there was a button that would automatically fit everything within a certain number of pages, or at least eliminate white space on the default results report.

I do often qualtrics survey which is provided by qualtrics software. Qualtrics is very good at arranging the survey nicely for the clients.

When you mass send out a survey through Qualtrics, it often ends up going into people's spam folders. Also, sometimes the piped text features as well as adding contacts can be overly complicated.

I enjoyed the features surveys had available. One of the most useful features is the distributions feature where we could have survey's open for a specific time. This allowed us to send surveys without the fear of people overstuffing our results. The ability to create personal links is an added bonus. But perhaps the most important feature is the ability to generate reports within the program. Over it is easy to use and user friendly.

I didn't like the fact that the free version had limited capabilities. However, I understand the program needs to make money. Luckily, the free version had everything we needed!

Easily write, edit, and send surveys that follow review board standards and maintain data privacy for participants. Qualtrics combines the ease of a Google Forms type application with the multitude of features needed to navigate quantitative and qualitative survey question data. Replicate questions, create multiple versions of a survey and save them, see participant completion rates and send out secure links easily as well.

Costs more than free options such as surveymonkey, etc. but the ability to save your data and see multiple outputs of that data is worth it.

If you're just taking an informal survey or collecting informal opinions for something other than a professional research project, you can probably find better (and cheaper) options elsewhere.

The functionality and ability to create comustomized surveys with Qualtrics is beyond that of any other software I've used. I think what makes Qualtrics stand apart from other programs is that is can be used and appreciated by novice tech users to skilled coders. If you want to make a quick-and-dirty survey tool, it's got you covered. If you want to use API and embed your survey into your website and receive real-time data analysis, you can do that, too. The ability to buy a single subscription for your entire organization can make this very cost effective, too.

Nachteile

I've only contacted Qualtrics customer support once for a connection issue I couldn't resolve on my own. Unfortunately, they rely on the email us your issue and we'll get back to you method of troubleshooting (albeit, along with a plethora of FAQs), and I never received a response. It seems like that happens more often than not (and definitely more than it should) when using this type of customer support method.

Ther are many things I love about this piece of software, but the two that stand out are its research core and real-time online sampling. Being heavy into numbers and "big data"... this software platform provides the market researcher a depth not found in many other platforms. The power on its computational abilities is the real power behind the brand.

Nachteile

A fairly steep learning curve for a novice or first-time research project manager. It is also the kind of platform that will perform so many more things and can - if the user is not careful - provide an information overload to that user.

The dashboard and reporting capability is powerful if you put in robust info.
As well, it integrates with Salesforce CRM.
The look and feel is good too.
Once you learn how to use it, it’s easy to keep up.

The AM said the upgrade was port over all our survey info to the upgraded account. He also said our surveys would be seen by all users and that isn’t true either. It’s taking a lot more time than we were told.

We are using qualtrix to track data from paper surveys. It interfaces well with excel and our student workers can quickly track the data for our IR department to upload and process. Since switching to this product our staff are more able to track and analyze data which has lead to better data driven decisions

Nachteile

It may just be my role, or how we are using it, but we are very demented on IR for the creation. It feels like it is either too complicated to teach others how to make surveys. I wish there was a better way for persons in my position to take charge of the survey creation.

Being able to create and monitor surveys in a simple yet effective manner. This is a great site for anyone wanting to make a survey because they give you the necessary tools to create basic ones and much more complex ones.
