Excellent choice for CMMS software

Vorteile
The best functionality of eMaint is its flexibility and customization. I've been able to tailor it so that is suits our departments activities, responsibilities, and operations. That customization is a major function of the superior customer service at eMaint, starting but certainly not ending with the rep. She is responsive, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with.
Nachteile
We use the scheduler module each and every week, there could be so much more done with it to enhance its ease of use.

Positive feedback
Its too early to have a full ROI on the program, but I will say accountability and priorities have have been identified. I look forward to reflecting back on this after a year or six months of usage.
Vorteile
Emaint did a great job with the setup and implementation. I am now in the stages directly after that stage and am on my own. The help desk is great. Send them a quick message and they reply via chat very quickly and efficiently. I love the dashboards. It allows me a quick glance at the projects and I can make decisions on what is a priority.
Nachteile
I would allow for alerts like numbers showing up under "Work Order Requests". Sometimes i over look it as its a area where I only go if needed. It wold be nice to have a counter showing I have new requests in.
Clean up the Work Order print out. I would want to make a better form.

Overall great software. All our team members got accustomed very quickly.

Very flexible to customize and helpful, quick responding customer support team. We frequently change form and work flow to meet our demand.
Nachteile
It doesn't matter actually but this software was developed with old programming language.

We really enjoy the software now that we have all of the "development" bugs worked out of it. We look forward to running our first annual reports in a few months.
Vorteile
Perhaps the most valuable aspect of eMaint software is that we are able to track multiple assets in a single program. This includes fleet, equipment, and facilities. We have been able to track projects as well as track inventories in a easy to use platform which is ideal when dealing with other departments within our township.
Nachteile
It takes a while to lean the software but the eMaint staff and eMaint University were great to get the admins up and running. We also had the opportunity to attend a Boot Camp in Florida which really brought everything together.

Easy work order creation and processing, making it accessible not only to the Manager, but techs as well.

I haven't found anything that I dislike yet, with the exception of difficulty in breaking out daily/weekly/monthly PM's on a report.

Is an easy software to understand. Basically, It helps the Company to centralize all the information of the main assets, contacts, inventory items and register the maintenance based on Work Orders. Helps to plan the Preventive Maintenance, File documents of the assets as Catalog, Manuals,Drawings, and paperwork associated to each one. The report system helps to get the information when desired and is reasonable customized.

Maintenance Planning and Budget
Vorteile
I like the PM Scheduler and the Work Order System design. I can pretty much schedule a whole year of maintenance in advance to budget our year in maintenance. The work order system is real friendly to use and after a little training, I think everybody can use it.
Nachteile
I'm sure its possible, but i would still like for it to integrate with our purchase system that our company already has. It would make inventory count a lot more accurate rather than have to receive everything in two systems.

My overall experience with eMaint has been very good. There is still much to learn and hopefully much to teach to the eMaint team.
Vorteile
What I like the most of this software is how much information can be stored within the database. I also like the reporting capabilities.
Nachteile
What I like least about the software is the customizations of the MX mobile view for technicians. Many software companies are focusing usage based on mobile applications first along with abilities to modify them to fit the technicians needs.

The benefits are that it is easier to look up the maintenance on the machinery. Able to track and graph the work a little better.

It seemed a lot easier than the last software we had. Also like the reports and that they can be graphed easily.
Nachteile
I believe the thing I like the least is the amount of characters for part numbers and asset numbers. some manufacturers have very long part numbers and many are very similar. That makes it a little difficult to put into EMAINT.

It is simple to use and understand. it is configurable and the team support you if the default configuration needs to be changed to meet your requirements. Bulk changes using the user interface is a bonus, rather than having to change the database table. It works, it is dependable
Nachteile
Some of the reports can be tricky to work out, if you have an understanding of databases and relationships/joins it helps. If not, the team will support you in designing a report that meets your requirements

We currently manage our manufacturing equipment and use Emaint to schedule preventative maintenance tasks and to log repairs to equipment.
Overall it is a good system to use and maintain.

Initial setup took some time but this was mainly due to the manual inputting.

How to fall in love with the bomb, or use CMMS
Ease of use, my old software was outdated and very unfriendly. The web interface is a big plus also.
Vorteile
The software once up is easy to use, but the real plus is the support. The system(s) in place to help you get on track are top notch. Even a novice with little experience with this type of system would have very little trouble getting up an running in a reasonably short time.
The web interface has proven to be an unexpected money saver. Not having to have any special hardware to run the software has allowed us to use end of service life surface pro's, and laptops. I spent 0 dollars out of my maintenance budget on computers for eMaint.
Nachteile
Not as intuitive as one would like, some stuff you just have to know where it is found, or you will have trouble finding

We did not have a way to track preventive maintenance or our spend per assist. eMaint will allow us to do this. We also have a way to purchase our MRO with upfront approvals.

We have started with the basic work control system for our facilities division and are looking to expand to include inventory, fiscal, construction and project management and real estate.
Vorteile
The system is user friendly, customer service is great to work with when changes are made, updating info, etc., the software can encompass all our needs and expand as we grow to incorporate future needs.
Nachteile
There were a few glitches with customer service needs as we were switching over from a previous system. These were pointed out and have been corrected.

NEW TO CMMS
The overall system is comprehensive and user friendly. Once you understand the basics of how all of the subsystems (i.e. work orders, assets, inventory, scheduled activity, tasks, etc.) inter-relate and work together, navigating the system becomes second nature.
Vorteile
The entire process from demonstration to implementation has been phenomenal. Every person I have interacted with along the way have been friendly, courteous and knowledgeable with the Fluke eMaint system! The on sight kick off was definitely worth the cost!
Nachteile
The only thing that i feel could use a little tweaking is the mobel version of eMaint. I feel like it could be a little more user friendly (note: I primarily use the full desktop version).

Powerful and Easy to Use for tracking maintenance needs and more
I have enjoyed learning and using this software to maintain our PM schedule and inventory. The customer service has been excellent and very fast. Any problem/question I toss out gets taken care of quickly with solid follow up.
Vorteile
I really like the ability to query any table as well as joining tables to really dig into the raw data. It is nice to be able to save custom views/queries for quick selection. Having multiple options for scheduling periodic maintenance (calendar vs. meter reading, static vs. shadow, etc...) makes this software very flexible.
Nachteile
Making edits or changes to existing forms can be cumbersome and definitely requires a level of comprehension "slightly above your average user".

Emain Review - Year Experience
Emaint solves our budget,. easy to track inventory use changes and identify the problem which helps to solve the issue. like at some point a part gets used more than usual,. because all work orders are properly created, and all parts properly charged out; we found out that production was throwing away parts into the trash while cleaning machines,. we solved it only by welding those in.
Vorteile
It is simple to monitor and manage inventory and the ability to adjust and implement new functions that would suet our company needs is the most of my interest in Emaint.
Nachteile
inability for an simply mass print labels which was available in the previous software we used. label report works fine but still if not an option for a day to day labeling.

It was designed a while ago and delays were added. These delays should be able to be removed now but they are still present. 5 seconds does not seem like a long time but when you do it a lot it adds up

Finally getting a hold on data and putting it to work.
I like it a lot better and a lot easier to use then SAP or MP2 and I fought to keep MP2 but I'm glad I lost the fight.

Any data that is captured can be use to your benefit. Charting systems are superb. Charting , Top 5 issue planning , & Inventory. Its all at your fingertips.
Nachteile
The way your have to import the data in when you are first intergrading into your facility . the way you capture it to import doesn't come out the same, but when your over that learning curve it smooths out.

The platform was great for the management team to use internally but got confusing for tenants (work order system)

Poor
Sales told us everything we wanted to hear and then tech told us different after investing in the product.

Confighrabikty seems good if we ever have a chance to properly customize
Nachteile
Implementation was expensive and rushed
We are a small company and by the time the weekly implementation meeting came we had not had a chance to use the system enough to get any value
Requests to slow the implementation were met with an inflexible corporate attitude leaving us unprepared to properly use this software.

Asset Managment
I use emaint on a daily bases and have moved most of our planning over to it. It has its short comings but it is a nice tool.
Vorteile
Emaint turned out to be very easy to get started. Made a few excel lists with all our assets, people and emails and we were off and running. It would be nice if parts tracking was as easy.
Nachteile
Inventory tracking is not as easy and purchase requisitions requires multiple advance degrees.

My overall experience has been good and every time we ask for a new feature for the program, we feel that e Maint personnel considered our solicitude and are included in the updates.

What I like least about this software is the mobile application. I'm looking forward to the new updates to see if the mobile application improved.

Can use csv files to implement a large amount of data at once.

eMaint allows us to make everyone accountable, its easy to track issues and look at histories.
Vorteile
The completely customizable options and the great customer service put eMaint at the head of the pack.
Nachteile
The use of the scheduler via a calendar does not function properly, we are awaiting the update.

I am overall satisfied and would not change even with the issues I have had. Customer Support is excellent and hey are always willing to support my request.
Vorteile
PM structure is simple and intuitive, WO system is functional and easy to progress through implementation of WR to closure of WO.
Nachteile
The ability to work between assets, WO's, PO's and Inventory. It is web based which is part of the issues. Once you realize short cuts it makes for a useable experience.

Very useful Maintenance Management Tool
Vorteile
I had very simple recurring maintenance items to track and using this tool made it a very organized process in taking care of the large equipment that needed routine services. You can schedule recurring and needed maintenance on your equipment.
Nachteile
It does take some learning to use, but like any software with some practice you can learn the functionality quickly.

I feel like this is a very intuitive product, easy to navigate and not difficult to taylor to specific needs.
Nachteile
Sometime there are things that I am surprised it doesn't do. Information doesn't cascade sometimes like i think it should. But it few and far between. Like I said I am surprised when it happens.

None that I can really think of except when I need to go back to a particular Asset, it seems like I have to go through a few screens first.

We have implemented emaint to track our asset history. This is benificial in seeing where we spend most of our time. By creating WO types we can report on the amount of time spent on preventative vs unplanned maintenance etc. We have added our own custom field on the WO (error code( to help assist the technicians in troubleshoot that same exact error in the future.

customization, tailored to you needs, easily tracked parts, asset history and WO history. reports and dashboards are handy
Nachteile
lack of serialized inventory, even though we created a work around i do not feel its quite as effective.
