This IDE provides me great platform for Java development. This is very convenient to write the code, find the syntax, do the aligning and build it very easily

Nachteile

Best part of this IDE, all the dependencies are very easy to download. Which helps in saving time in development.

I like the software autotool tips, gui, short commands, easy code snippets. It’s very easy to use and was even followed by android studio

Nachteile

I didn’t liked its compile timing. It takes a way too long to compile a project and also it crashes if the heap size is low

It has many great features but we will try sum up the greatest ones
1- code analysis is the best
2- prediction nd refactoring is one of the easiest task on it
3- great support and community for solving problems
4- make good integrations specifically with docker for remote debugging.

Nachteile

Learning curve is a little high and need more guide and tutorials to make the full benefits of the ide and get wht you really pay for.

The shortcuts and code organization makes development run more efficiently for both small and large organizations. I was skeptical about paying for IDE after using Eclipse for years, but this product is well worth it. I also use Android Studio which is basically IntelliJ for Android development. The initial beta needed some work, but now I wouldn't do Android development any other way.

Nachteile

The cost is rather expensive for the product. The community edition is great; however, most of plugins for web development aren't included. It would be great if there was a better trial version.

It's a very good IDE for starters to begin to write code easily. With the improved plugin feature it can be further expanded in functionality.

The lack of good plugins from third parties as other IDEs have make it a little bit low-featured compared with others.

They have added many features in the new version and IDE allows to generate getters ,setters or constructors just by clicking a one item. it makes the coding process easier and efficient. Another feature i like is that it shows the argument names when using a method.
It has very user friendly interface and many features to make coding easier.

Nachteile

In my opinion it's the best Java IDE available at the moment and current features are great. Sometimes there's a slight delays in detecting code errors other than that it's a great IDE

I've using intellij in writing java code and in Android Development and clearly there is not competitor that offers these range of features like: integration with Github and typing predictions.

It is hard to add new library to intellij or even add the java jdk to it. They should solve this issue as soon as possible.

The IDE market is quite crowded but IntelliJ IDEA is the leader, especially for Java development. It's open source and not limited to Java alone. It has an intelligent plugin architecture, integrated version control and the ability to work on multiple projects. I use it for Android development, even if a lot of devs prefer the Android Studio. IntelliJ IDEA is remarkably well built.

Nachteile

The hardware requirements are a bit high if you want to use it optimally. You definitely needs lots of memory (ideally 16 Gb) and an M2 disk to enjoy using it.

I like the short cuts, speed of search, having the console in the bottom, and having jrebel fairly easily implemented. As a frontend dev JREBEL is not optional.

I commonly explain the Jetbrains suite as it's not everything and the kitchen sink. It's everything and the kitchen sink factory! They simply include anything you can think of and I commonly find myself saying "I wonder if it ca... OH! It can!". I was able to downsize from a large number of apps to one, and I highly recommend using the trial to find out why it is well worth the price tag. It is software I was extremely hesitant in buying. Now it's a no brainer.

The cost would be great if it would go down. I also wish learning all of the tools and features included was a little more defined and explained.
