One of the best programming IDE's
I've been using several IDE's over the years, even though I've only used the trail period of IntelliJ it has been a blessing to use it. The auto-fill is great, it has a slim design and highly customizable. I will certainly use this IDE more in the future.
Nachteile
Honestly not much to complain, I don't expect this IDE to be free but the price could be a little bit lower.

I love this application. We can build great apps with this. Connecting API's are very easy.

The UI and UX is very good for me, if you compare it to similar software. As a programmer you would like to work in a comfortable place with a good environment and design.

I think the price is a bit expensive compares to similar software, but again price is very subjective.

Vorteile
IntelliJ Idea is a very powerful IDE for java developers. It has been specially designed to provide the maximum development speed with minimum efforts to all the java developers. You can use it to create web application or a java swing or any other type of java application, it makes sure that you get the all the tool that can help you.
Nachteile
Its shortcuts are much different from the ones we use with eclipse, so you might spend a few days in getting habitual of same.

A very powerfull IDE
Vorteile
It has a lot of functionalities, and you can also add plugings, add-ons, etc. The community is big and people share a lot of content and knowledge, so you can fix your problems, add improvements and find other things very easy. You can use your own repo. Also I recommend to use it with Maven if you are programming in Java, it will make your life easier.
Nachteile
THe only thing I see so far is the difficulty or in other words, the IDE is a little hard to use, I mean, more hard than other IDEs, but it is because it has a lot of more functions, but you will addapt very fast I asure you.

Decent IDE for java development
Overall, I had a positive experience with IntelliJ IDEA. I would use for only certain type of java projects where is shines the most.
Vorteile
The UI is intuitive and looks really good. The autocomplete feature helps a lot and works well most of the time. It is easy to use and handles projects pretty well. Amazing and intuitive debugger, so that even a beginner can start using it without actually learning about it.
Nachteile
The memory consumption is huge and integration with other products is a huge hassle.

This just is the best of the bunch. Most powerful features, best UI, kept most up-to-date. IntelliJ also makes IDEs for other languages, and once you know one of their IDEs, you'll have an easier time learning another.

Looking for fast, multioptions, easy to use RAD IDE? IntelliJ IDEA contains everythig you need to develop any website or system. Works with many plugins, databases, languages (such as Angular, PHP, JS etc). I cannot imagine working without it.

IntelliJ Makes Coding a Breeze
I have had a great experience with IntelliJ. Since I started coding in Java it is practically the only IDE I use. The auto complete is very helpful! Probably my favorite feature.
Vorteile
I really like the auto complete features that IntelliJ has. The suggestions it provides are often very useful and can take some of the monotony out of coding. REALLY ENJOY!
Nachteile
At this point I don't think there are any features that I think are missing. It is quite a comprehensive tool!

* No way to easy reset every setting, like a fresh install. I destroyed it and needed to run a vm to continue on my software. But that was on payara and me.

It is a great IDE if you will be using it with one or two projects but if you want to use it with multiple projects and you need to go in and out quickly then it might be an expensive option

When you think about an IDE for java, the Jetbrains InteliJ is the complete IDE suite for software development. Since an advanced code completion, to the docker integration, you have all-in-one place to take advantage. You can configure almost everything on your IDE, and then sync the settings in a remote server.
Nachteile
The memory consumption can be a problem in weak computers and the learning curve can be more difficult.

I moved onto this from Eclipse and I've found it so much better to use. It's a good medium between something like Visual studio and eclipse as it allows a lot of functionality without making you feel bogged down.
Nachteile
Though I say I enjoy the extra functionality sometimes having a simple and concise window feels nicer and easier to use. Especially when working with larger projects

Nice Java IDE which helps you create your Java program
Vorteile
Very nice IDE which has good debugging features and always looks out for you while you're coding. Another pro, mainly for the company in general, is that they give out free licenses to students! Their support for many frameworks is also a nice touch, which you wouldn't get in a free IDE.
Nachteile
The price for the full version is a lot. It would drive me away if I wasn't a student.

I like how well InteliJ works with Java unlike other IDE's.In my opinion, when building Java applications, InteliJ is your go to.
Nachteile
Unlike it's major competitor, InteliJ doesn't support command short cut for opening the terminal and also it is not beginner friendly. Also InteliJ is expensive and requires a large amount of space to install.

Vorteile
I like that it's a free IDE that runs very well (low use of system resources) and has a fantastic user interface. The settings and plugins within the IDE also speed up development quite a bit and make it far more enjoyable.

I've had issues running it on Linux systems, but otherwise it's great.

I use it to develop automated integration tests with Java and Cucumber.
Vorteile
It has features that make life very easy, such as autocomplete and suggestions, it works very well with several plugins. Really easy to work with test automation using cucumber.
Nachteile
I commonly have problems with lag if the program has different aspects that make it heavy. Other than that, there’s not much I don’t like.

Fantastic IDE for Python and Java
Vorteile
I really like the overall provided functionalities of the IDE and i would suggest to install the base IDE and add plugins accordingly instead of installing programming language specific distributions (e.g. PyCharm). For android development this is the best IDE available.
Nachteile
The UI can be slow at times and CPU intensive. A bit of getting used to it is needed for the first time as there are lot of things.

I used this IDE for one of my first projects. It has more tools and can be integrated well with svn.
Nachteile
I don't hate it but it is somewhat difficult to use compared to Eclipse. Eclipse is more widely used and has more help available online as well.

Just that bit extra
Great software at a reasonable pricing level with great support.
Vorteile
There are loads of free alternatives if you are looking for a proper IDE. The Intelli products for me just offer that bit extra in terms of functionality or quality that justifies paying for my usage.
Nachteile
Not too much, the only thing I really dislike is the way they roll-out new versions of their software as often it doesn't fully respect the settings and preferences of earlier installs.

Lots of features
Used it to code in Java for university and a training I had.
Vorteile
The guys an intelliJ surely make some nice software, I used it to code Java for my university and it both looks great and works nicely.
Nachteile
While it works okay, it feels kind of slow to load compare to Eclipse for example and while it looks good, Eclipse is easier to use while this one is a bit confusing at start.

It has many plugins which can make integration with many languages a breeze. You can commit and checkout projects from git, svn and other version control platforms.
Nachteile
It was way too bulky for what I needed and it took too long to load up, making me waste too much time everyday opening the software so I ended up using a different editor.

Incredibly useful IDE
I cannot stand coding in Java without IntelliJ.
Vorteile
There is nothing I have had to do that IntelliJ couldn't help with. I continue to discover features that make my life easier, from Git integration to Spring initialization to the robust refactoring options. IntelliJ makes every part of my job easier.

- You need not to learn using this IDE unlike other IDEs like Eclipse and Netbeans.
- Loads really fast compared to other IDEs.
- Can draw UML diagrams directly on the basis of code.

I've tried a couple different IDE for Java, and this one made me stop trying new ones.

Full of features, customizable coding experience respect to your way of coding. It gives the user to be fully in control of his IDE.
Nachteile
Not a great community following it, guess that's due to being not free but licensed. At first might look a little confusing due to his wide capabilities, but once you know how to move inside this IDE nothing will stop you.

The best thing about this IntelliJ IDE is that Jetbrains give a year long free subscription to students with an edu domain. Also IntelliJ IDEA gives us an excellent experience with relevant suggestions while writing the Java code

I like the ability to work with a lot of languages using the plug ins available for the tool
the features include code inspection, error detection and highlight with code coloring as well
The feature to connect to a database from the idea is great.

the amount of memory it requires, I mean you need to upgrade your ram to a high end to avoid performance issues and have a better experience.

I had some difficulties to install on Mac, because my company uses java 8, and intelliJ asked for version 11 due to cucumber.
Vorteile
IntelliJ has a nice interface, many adds available to be installed and used and improve your work and how you face the code.
Nachteile
I can’t remember what I like least about this IDE, once I switched from others softwares because of pros.

Server gets stuck in running state even though it does not show that. Have to restart.

Excellent tool, your investment is reasonable although if it is a bit difficult to pay the license it really is worth it, I currently use a student license, I will make an effort to pay it.
