Best Java IDE Ever!
Vorteile
I love how many plugins there are and how much this IDE can do. I use it every day and enjoy starting it up every day.
Nachteile
I dislike how sometimes it can be a bit slow. Both starting up and also while running some external plugins.

Amazing IDE for web and mobile development
Vorteile
This is a very complete, efficient and feature-rich IDE. It’s aimed at experienced developers who really want to be productive and need to work on large codebases. I especially love the set of tools it provides to refactor code and to be helpful to developers without getting in their way.
Nachteile
I’m not a fan of its UI, sometimes it feels too bloated and not well integrated with the OS look and feel.

I have used IntelliJ IDEA to write and test some Java applications that would be used as components in other projects.
Vorteile
Plenty of great features that make writing and debugging code in Java much easier than other IDE. Allows for full cycle of development as you can run your code from the software itself.
Nachteile
Since this software is focused on Java this IDE isn't as versatile as other IDE such as Visual Studio. As long as Java is your main language in development then IntelliJ is a good choice.

I've beenusing Eclipse for years before switching to IntelliJ. I really thought it was just another IDE untill I starded using it and found loads of great features I wouldn't have imagined before that automate and facilitate dev's job

Well the only disadvantage I could find is that it's not free but it's a small one when you see the time you gain

Incredible IDE
Vorteile
This IDE enabled me to very quickly and easily create small Java applications for personal use and development. It has a range of great features which are now standard within similar software such as intellisense which can greatly help increase your efficiency. IntelliJ allows you to create not only simple console applications but also GUI-based applications using a number of different Java frameworks.
Nachteile
One of the only downsides to this software is that there is not a free version. However there is a trial and student license.

Fast and intelligent
As an overall experience I'm happy using this IDEA.
Vorteile
It's really fast, using it mostly for Java & Javascript. It offers you a wast amount of plugins for Java development. It does not crash like some other softwares I used to use for Java.
Nachteile
A bit expensive respect to other same applications. Depends on what you're going to do but some plugins use lots of ram. Specially those I used for AI.

It is a bit heavy the IDE and its cost is somewhat high if you need to make a subcription, you need to have a hardware that has enough resources raised so that the ide march well and does not stay hung.

One of the best and my favorite text editor.
Vorteile
This is one of the best text editors i have ever used. It offers such a broad variety of tools and options to make your coding easier. When importing a new library you don't actually need to go to a website to download it, you just navigate to settings and download it through IntelliJ.

I had used this free trial IntelliJ IDEA for some time. I feel its good and continue using it but later on it asked money. If I can get same features almost same in Visual Studio Code in free then why should I purchase it. I feel its expensive.

Best java environment outside of Android Studio
Vorteile
Really fast at compiling java code. Intelligence is amazing, it 90% predicts what you're going to type with the first two or single character and when u increase the font size the general appearance is not good. I
Nachteile
It is a heavy software to install. i don't like the default fonts across Intellij and Android Studio. The fonts seem to small when you switch from VS code.

If I'm going to do Java development there is no question I would use IntelliJ IDEA.
Vorteile
Easy to use. Great ecosystem for plugins. Performant and responsive user interface. Intellisense and editor features are great.
Nachteile
Nothing really. IntelliJ is worlds better than Eclipse. The user interface and features alone are enough.

Easy to use, almost similar to Visual Studio by Microsoft.
Installing packages, tracking a bug, navigation are all simplified. Loved their dark theme, this makes me focused on my code
Nachteile
Felt on the higher side of price, but worth the futures it's providing
If you are not using a powerful machine( Laptop/ Desktop) this application might hang or crash during the build process.

Overall i would say it is a good buy and a great tool for coding.
Vorteile
Being a java developer intelliJ is one of most handy and useful tool for us. Provides good integration with other functionalities like maven, hibernate etc Provides features like debugging , code refractoring . I have actually preferred it over eclipse.
Nachteile
The User Interface is complicated though. There are lot of features that i actually dont know how to use. Sometimes it gets slower.

Fast development and compilation and supports multiple languages out of the box, it is always a joy using it.
Vorteile
IntelliJ IDEA is one of the best IDE I have used ever, it has smart intellisense, it runs big and small projects fasts, it has lots of tools and plugins built in and allows further customization.
Nachteile
The price could be a little cheaper to make it affordable to engineers in developing countries who can't afford the same amount it is currently priced at.

A powerful IDE for Java
I create Spigot plugins for Minecraft servers. With the help of the IntelliJ Minecraft Dev plugin that automatically imports classes, methods, and Maven dependencies, and creates plugin files, I can finish my projects faster and easier.

Overall experience is OK, with minor setbacks
Vorteile
I like using this software it's really intuitive and well organised, also the documentation is well explained and easily understandable.
Nachteile
On my older computer (3 years old) with solid specs for that time, only complaint i have is the loading time to start the program is way to much like 20-30 seconds. Also never mind the computer other problem I face is when I'm importing libraries to some project sometimes they don't work like they are supposed to, I've tested this on other IDE works with no problem.

Ok IDE with all the tools you need
Vorteile
IntelliJ IDEA is yet another IDE that fully does its job: it has all the features you need for developing applications and it works reliably.
Nachteile
I think the pricing is a bit overblown. IntelliJ, like all JetBrains products, doesn't offer a really mindblowing experience or stand out in any other way from other IDEs. When first visiting JetBrains' website, I got really excited because of the sleek design, but their applications suffer from a lack thereof. Too bad!
