Best Decision We Made For Shipping

Shipstation is a sharp one-stop shop to ship for cheap!

Having a centralized shipment flow makes it easy to create shipments or quotes, bulk shipments and labels as well as tracking ins and outs. Perfect experience!

Vorteile

Having all shipping and courier carriers aggregated in one place makes it easier for us to use the right one at the right time, therefore saving on cost and time.

Nachteile

Occasionally, we have a hard time getting through our point of contact over at ShipStation but overall, there is really no major cons using them.

ShipStation changed the game for us!!

Vorteile

ShipStation is easy to use, and can support multiple carriers if you use more then one. I love the chat option to get quick answers. Before ShipStation, it took us one business day to create the shipments, now were down to a few hours.

Nachteile

I know its against your user agreement, however the only reason I would change ShipStation for a similar program is because at the volume of orders we create per day, I would like to add our carriers and have shipstation have an algorithm that can be created by a rule, that would automatically select the carrier with the cheapest rates per order.

shipstation is a great tool to review your orders and track the status of them

for the past year is the only tool we use to review alverall orders

Most Efficient Shipping Software we have every used!

Vorteile

Shipstation listens to their users and puts every feature you could ever need in their software. It has the most features, the most integrations and has the fastest workflow.

We use it for eBay, Amazon, Reverb, Big Commerce, etc. If we were to change to a different website platform, it would be easy because Shipstation most likely integrates with them too.

It also integrates with QuickBooks through a third party app. It works very well and keeps us accurate.

The Shipstation Package Insurance works well and we have been paid on time for lost packages.

Nachteile

We would like to see more competitive pricing for USPS. eBay has far better shipping rates specifically for large packages and International Shipments. We want to ship all shipments through Shipstation.

Great product that can scale with us

Vorteile

- different pricing for different subscription levels based on our volumes, and we can change the level as needed - awesome!
- easy to use and set up - we had a very short window to implement and start using and ShipStation came to the rescue. customer service was excellent.
- fairly robust features that we can start utilizing more as we grow
- free trial was a huge reason we made the final decision to implement

Nachteile

- at our sub level we have a one user limit - that's a bummer, but we are easily dealing with it
- didn't advertise the monthly option for less than 50 orders - that would have been nice to know a year ago
- we had some bumps implementing some of the international services

ShipStation is the most comprehensive tool our business uses

Vorteile

I love the ability to get a snapshot overview of our sales, frequency in shipping and so much more. I also love the fact that we can pull real-time reporting that we can export and do whatever we need to with the information that is pulled. We would be so lost without ShipStation!

Nachteile

I wish I didn't have to continually update the dashboard to check and see if a new order has come in. I feel that this is too manual. I think we should receive some sort of desktop alert or app notification of a new order.
While I did appreciate the live chat feature, I also feel that ShipStation should have a general phone number so that if a customer wanted to, they could speak with a representative.

Shipstation for the Win!

Our company sells product across 3 different platforms and as we rapidly grew we needed a central place to process shipments so that we didn't miss any and didn't have to check multiple websites every day. In addition, we would often ship with different carriers based on location and pricing. Shipstation provide a quick and easy solution to meet our needs! We were able to integrate it right away with an onboard specialist who walked us through. It's extremely intuitive and user-friendly and has allowed us to speed up our ship times while cutting down on the amount of work our office staff has to do to process the order. We love this product!

Vorteile

Very user-friendly. Can easily select different carriers to check pricing. Integrates with multiple platforms like amazon and etsy.

Nachteile

It's hard to print multiple tickets for the same shipment without processing individually.

Great for online ecommerce

All in all, very nice platform to keep in your entrepreneurship toolbox.

Vorteile

Love the ability for it to be integrated with my Squarespace website and print shipping labels for sales that come in.

Nachteile

There is a bit of a learning curve in making sure the mail dimensions match the products you are selling. Also don't like that you have to "load" the account versus deducting as shipments come in.

Good overall shipping Platform

Shipping Station does a great job of importing orders from all the major selling platforms. Our major site that we sell thru is ebay and ship station does work great with it. It is easy to import all our orders and then easy to send out the shipment notifications to our customers and to ebay so we can retain our top rated seller status. The shipping software is web based, and can get clunky or stuck in some various web browsers such as safari and IE, but that happens to a lot of software.

I like how we can divide up our shipments to different employees or shipping terminals. This allows us to control who does what and we can get feedback on shipments via who did those.

Overall a great platform to do your shipping from. Easy to setup your fedex account in as well. It is a little pricey if you are going to use it for several years. (our plan cost $45 a month). That means a year we will be over $500 for this software. We find that the ease and control we have helps offset this cost.

Vorteile

Good easy to use and learn web based software platform for shipping. Tech support is amazing and fast to respond when you do need help. No major training needed to get going. Just import your orders and go!

Nachteile

Kind of pricey but if it saves you time and keeps you organized then it is worth it.

Get Ship Done

Overall it is one of the best decision I made. I would be unable to keep up with order flow without it.

I used it every day and it is 10 times better than the program we were using previously (ShipRush)

Vorteile

This software brings all of our marketplaces together. Magento, Amazon, and we can even import our phone orders via CSV upload.

It has everything you could possibly need to compare different shipping services and save money and time.

Nachteile

If I had to pick something that I liked the least it would be the search functionality.

Many times I'll have to do an advanced search to find something that won't pop up but should through the general search.

Perfect solution to combine my Woocommerce site and eBay

Nachteile

shipping a one off item is frustrating as you have to create a new order. I don't usually have much time at the end of the day and wish i could just enter the address and select the shipping class etc.

Good solution to medium-volume shipping

We use ship station to ship out about 5 to 15 orders per week, we have it linked to our UPS account and to USPS via their stamps.com connection. It definitely helps save time comparing services and keeping track of our shipping costs.

Vorteile

-save time comparing services (UPS vs USPS vs FedEx, etc.)
-great USPS rates
-integration with our e-commerce site was pretty straightforward
-good for shipping bulk orders (we rarely do this, though)
-pays for itself quickly every month with USPS rate savings

Nachteile

-the interface is not the most intuitive/slightly complicated (but works for the many many features of the app)
-wish you didn't have to refill your account for payments under $10. Would be better if it just directly charged us for each order even if it's under $10. This complicates our accounting and seems unnecessary.
-customer service is not as responsive as they could be

Great for multi-platform shipping

We use ShipStation for our platforms that don't have automated shipping tools. The tools available saves us many hours. Before ShipStation we were using a standard Stamps.com account and manually processing orders, but the process took way too long and resulted in some copy and paste errors. The fact that orders can now be imported means we no longer have to copy addresses in and it's easier to compare across shipping providers. An average order for us now takes about four clicks from start to finish.

Nachteile

None so far. Initially, they didn't have one of our selling platforms, Houzz, but it was quickly added after we joined.

Great Shipping Tool for Online eBay Sellers

Vorteile

ShipStation has made our shipping tasks so much easier since it combines USPS, FedEx and UPS shipping into one easy to use interface. We are able to access ShipStation from any desktop, laptop or smartphone. ShipStation has made many great updates to the interface during the short time we have been using it which shows they are very focused on making it the best shipping app out there.

Nachteile

Occasionally we have run into situations where we didn't know how to perform a certain function or get certain information from the reporting. In all cases we have been able to check the help section for an answer or contact our account manager and he has assisted.

Excellent company that streamlined our parcel business and channel integration

Vorteile

integration with Amazon and Ebay Seamless. Excellent customer support. User Friendly. Excellent on boarding help by our assigned Ship Station launch Manager

Nachteile

It is not fully integrated with all parcel carrier features. Examples include not integrating well with added services such as additional insurance (does not display itemized breakdown of this charge on manifest just total charge). Also expedited services and multiple packages same shipment are difficult to use on the calculator function. Instead you have to go into each carrier and quote each one instead of seeing all in a snapshot with accurate pricing. Other than that love ShipStation!

Gamechanger

They’ve been great - easy to use product, amazing customer service and support, and for a reasonable price. I can’t recommend them enough.

Vorteile

Before setting up Shipstation first with a Wordpress site and then with Shopify, we had to enter everything in by hand to USPS and UPS. Shipstation automated all of that for us and made it super simple to keep track of open orders. No more sitting on a stack of paper packing slips trying to see what can ship out now. Very easy to use, and pulls orders from multiple Shopify stores plus eBay, amazon, walmart, etc.

Nachteile

Nothing, really. I can recommend it enough. Any time I couldn’t make something connect, the customer service people just linked into my computer and took care of it immediately. Amazing customer service.

My go to shipping fulfilment software for Magento 2

Vorteile

I love the number of platforms & couriers ShipStation integrates with. Pricing wise it's super affordable & can improve productivity tenfold. It's a really well built platform & once everything is setup (wireless scanner, digital scales, label printer) it makes shipping a breeze.

Nachteile

I have no issues with ShipStation what so ever!

It's a great service that saves me time, and has lot's of potential for scale up.

Vorteile

Pros include...

-- Being able to quickly print labels for both local and international shipments from my business.
-- Being able to get exact shipping quotes.
-- It integrates with my ecommerce website

Nachteile

Cons include...

-- The user interface is messy and takes time to learn
-- Integration with WooCommerce isn't perfect
-- No good option for outsourcing my international shipments (from warehouse in another country).

If they could some how create the option to "forward" certain orders to other fulfillment companies (like my fulfillment company in Great Britain for example), then this product would hands down be the best!

Best shipping software out there

Vorteile

Simplifies everything shipping related. While I wish it had a couple of features it doesn't, it is still head and shoulders above anything else I have used (odoro, shippo, ship easy).

Nachteile

I wish you could edit orders - when a customer cancels an item in shopify, you can't remove it from the order in shipstation, you just have to add a note and hope the packer sees it.

Licensed shipping software

The customer support is superb. I haven't had any issues. I would suggest take your time. learn it. if you have a programmer, let them do the funneling or you.

Vorteile

Use it for Everymailbox , Amazon, Ebay. will be phasing out amazon and ebay.

Google bing or duckduckgo everymailbox and check out renewsoul.us. anyone from ebay and amazon will want to switch with us. we have shipping software that is better.

Nachteile

My suggestion would be to get used to it. it's not hard at all.

Issue with uploadingthe tracking number to the Rakuten website.

Easy to use.

Vorteile

It's been more than four months that the software does not upload the tracking number to the rakuten website properly. I have tried to resolve this issue over the chat and email but they couldn't resolve the issue. They are telling me that we are working on it. You need to manually import the tracking number to the website .

Nachteile

They did bot resolve my issue after four months. No one talk to you if you are not enterprise customer. It is hard to stop this software since you will lose the customer info.

It replaces fulltime shipping staff

Vorteile

Easy to use, with many features. What used to take hours can be done within a few minutes. It also eliminates errors by having much other procedures automated and saved.

Nachteile

They do NOT integrated into my website. I use ASP.net and there is no plugin integration, this would help me alot.

Huge Time and Money Saver

Vorteile

Easy to use and automates so many of the tasks I used to have to do. I wish I would have done it two years ago when I started my business!

Nachteile

Two people said they didn't get the email notifications. I am not sure they were telling the truth though or it could have gone to spam.

Great software! Definitely useful for any online retailer.

The benefits are endless and also very customizable. Know that you should spend the time to get to know the software before getting discouraged. Overall, Shipstation is great and helps ease the initial difficulties with running any business.

Vorteile

The features of shipstation cannot be matched by any other software on the market. Shipstation syncs seamlessly with various online platforms (shopify, etc.) and contains all of the data you need to successfully run and scale a business.

Nachteile

The sorting and filtering in shipstation is pretty difficult if you don't spend the time to learn the software. If you are a novice, I recommend using their customer service team to guide you through necessary data sorting, etc. Importing and exporting data could be a little confusing for the first time user.

ShipStation makes it simple to ship

Vorteile

Shipstation's platform is extremely user friendly, and in the event that you need help with something, their specialists are very attentive and willing to help.

Nachteile

difficult to explore old orders/shipments. Also setting up shipping carriers can sometimes be difficult becuase of the communication between ShipStation and the carrier, for example FedEx.

Finally one great program to ship using all my platforms

Vorteile

Easily downloads from all your ecommerce stores.
Allows easy shipping using USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, and more. I used to have to go to Fed Ex separately.

Nachteile

International Orders / shipping not always easy to find/navigate. Wish they are readily accessible on the "orders' page.

Good Solution for Our In House Shipping

All in all a good software that I would recommend to others.

Vorteile

Shipstation saves tons of time printing labels in batches. I also appreciate its flexibility to allow me to split orders into multiple shipments, setup various shipping warehouses, integrate with various carriers, etc. All at a reasonable price.

Nachteile

I've had mediocre experiences with customer support.

Best app for growing online business

We have several channels of business and ShipStation is fantastic for aggregating pending orders for our shipping department. The API function from external sites pulling in order information is a huge time saver and more importantly error reducer. Prior to using the program we were copy and pasting from individual sites and we did not have a place to store notes and shipping cost information. With ShipStation our customer service team can watch/edit/make notes real time to orders for our shipping department to act upon. ShipStation also stores historical shipping info such as tracking and SHIPPING COST (huge deal!) which is a tremendous time saver for our customer service staff as well.

As our business grows and jobs are more segmented, ShipSation has help us work smarter.

Good software for the price and never disappointed me.

Vorteile

I love using this application because I can easily manage all the shipping, along with customer service via my website without much time consumption. Creating orders is just a cakewalk, and we can easily place orders for later shipments and place certain orders on hold according to our priorities. The interface is very intuitive and user-friendly. We can easily handle huge volumes of shipping orders, print labels and the best aspect of this application is its customer service. You get personalized and highly responsive customer service based on your business. We can import orders from multiple platforms and we get to use a great variety of templates. It enables easy and free real tracking of all our shipments.

Nachteile

A lot of bugs are encountered in the Android version. I found it a bit complicated to switch between multiple accounts. Even though you don’t encounter many glitches, the interface requires a lot of updating. Adding multiple shipments to a single order is a pain! The international shipments are quite complicated.

ShipStation takes your business to the next level

Vorteile

ShipStation is seriously amazing. It streamlines the shipping process between the two online stores I manage, and offers a wide variety of customizations based on my needs. Their customer service is excellent, with several options (chat, e-mail, and phone) for every type of business to use. This has cut my ship time down to a fourth of what I used to spend, and has given me more time to focus on other aspects of my business!

Nachteile

The price tag seemed a bit steep at first since I have the second tier with upgraded number of shipments and multiple stores to be linked, but I think the time saved is well worth.

Shipstation is great for small businesses!

Excellent customer service. We pay for enterprise support and the chat team has helped us on so many occasions.

Vorteile

Shipstation helped our small business in many ways. The process of integrating your marketplaces is straightforward and simple. The native integrations offered are quite extensive, and we did quite lengthy research to pick and fulfillment software that integrated with the most marketplaces possible. The value for the cost is totally worth the investment, and the customization of carriers, labels, automation rules, notification emails truly makes this a great product.

Nachteile

You can only integrate one Amazon EU account, not all countries. So for example, you can integrate amazon.uk, but not amazon.it or amazon.de. There are still some marketplaces that do not offer a native integration with Shipstation. I wish reporting "insights" were more extensive.

I like that is is easy to use, very user friendly.
We have a couple guys who are not too technically savvy, they use shipstation with zero issues.
This syncs nicely with eCommerce platforms, like ebay, etsy, amazon, shopify, ect, and ect.
Great if you are manually inputting this type of info! Return labels process is a breeze.
Easy to search shipments. Ship station also populates data , such as how much you have charged for shipping vs how much you have spent on shipping.
Overall been a great system we use.

Nachteile

Um the only con that comes to mind is return shipping labels for international shipping are not available.

Shipstation made it easier and cheaper to ship our product

Vorteile

I like that you have all the options mail something. You don't just have to use priority like USPS.com. We were able to save money on each shipment we send without sacrificing time. Having multiple users also allows our team to each have a handle on what's going on with shipments and update as needed, even if we're not all in the same office. Doing returns is super simple too and creating our own labels to send to customers is quick and easy too.

Nachteile

It was a little hard to figure out how to add more funds or get set up to start shipping initially. But once everything was done it was smooth ever since.

Nachteile

The beta version of the latest update is very buggy, but I'm sure it will be worked out. We reverted to the previous version in the meantime.

Fantastic Time Saver with a Couple of Warnings

Vorteile

Fantastic interface and a huge time-saver. I do about 30-40 orders a day and would be lost without ShipStation. Their support is wonderful and I have not seen any downtime at all in several months.

Nachteile

If you are an eBay or PayPal shipper, be prepared to pay more for your shipments in some cases. Stamps.com (ShipStation postage supplier) does not offer the same discounts as eBay and PayPal. Also, the program (for Mac at least) does not notify you when there is a problem with the printer. It just sends the print job and you never know if it had a problem until you actually go to the printer and look.

"Less is more"

The pricing plan needs work- we are right between the smallest and second smallest plans. There needs to be a middle option because we ship more than 50 a month but not reaching the 500 mark and dramatic price increase. if there was a plan for200-250 a month that would be perfect plan

Highly Recommend ShipStation!

Vorteile

Very user friendly and has a lot of features and options. Use it on a daily basis and rarely ever have a problem. If I do, customer service takes care of it very promptly.

Nachteile

Sometimes I feel like there is too many steps for a certain task. Also, printing from the Zebra requires an extra step - that could be a user error though.

Great, until you need support

Vorteile

When it works it does save time generating shipping labels.

Nachteile

You better hope the tool works perfectly for you, because unless you're on a higher paying plan, getting human support is not included. We pay $29 a month, but that's not enough to get support for critical issues, effectively making the tool useless for me. Shocking to me they wouldn't offer support to all paying customers and surely they'd retain customers like me for much longer.
The tool is often buggy, you need to do things a few times until it works.

Shipstation is the best!

Overall in my opinion with all the features with shipstation this is the best shipping software!

Vorteile

Shipstation easily integrates with my website and syncs all my orders to make it more convenient for me to ship across the world.

Nachteile

I had a few minor cases with shipstation when it came to adding funds but customer service was able to assist right away!

Great product, user friendly, does all the work for you!

I used shipstation for my previous side business, and it was incredible! I recommend any online retailer to do the same. This software kept track of all of my shipments, stores repeat customers, tracks my sales and postage, and basically was the backbone of my business organization! It gave me the confidence to successfully run my side business and have all the paper trails and reports saved in one location! You'll love how easy it is to use and how much more knowledgeable you'll be about the hard numbers your business is producing!

If you ship from your location, this program will help a ton. You can log into your accounts already set up with Fed Ex, UPS, etc to find the best rates.

Nachteile

Not really a con--but you do need to purchase the machine that prints out the shipping labels--it is available at Amazon.

Both Time & Money Saving

Vorteile

The program is fairly easy to use, the cost per package is lower than what i was paying using usps.com. I can see where my package is in the shipping process and confirm receipt. It helps me provide better feed back to the customer and gives me more control over my first class passengers than I had before. It takes me FAR less time to process orders than it did previously, which i really love.

Nachteile

Some parts of the program are not entirely intuitive and I've had to call customer support to help me figure things out. I would think the more packages you ship, the lower your monthly charges would be rather than the reserve.

Indespensible product for accurate shipping

Vorteile

I use Excel spreadsheet to itemize my orders by name, address, price, etc. I then export to csv file and manually import this into ShipStation. After watching the videos that ShipStation provides, plus their excellent customer support, I was able to set my columns up properly, check addresses, set up shipping prices (weighing products via a scale), and then print all my shipping labels. There was a bit of a learning curve, but it was well worth the effort. Due the volume of shipping I do, this has really saved me time waiting in line at the Post Office. I can now simply drop off my packages and leave. I cannot thank ShipStation enough for providing their excellent shipping service.

Nachteile

Unless this has been done very recently, some of their videos should be updated and more detailed for folks like me who need to do manual csv imports via spreadsheet. Last time I checked (a few months ago) they have a handful of videos on this topic but probably should only have one or two, grouped together, so folks can learn correctly all the little details to get their spreadsheet imports to work properly. It took me awhile to get this right and a few customer support e-mails, but ShipStation was always prompt and detailed and helped me get up and running in a short time.

Great shipping software that just keeps improving

Great for shipping product!

Vorteile

This software works so well with shopify, and handles all the outbound, and now inbound (return) orders that our company has. It is great to have one system that has all of these features all in one place.

Nachteile

Again customer service with some of this software can lag a bit, and since it is all email based, it may take a few tries to get the problem solved. They do solve it, but the time taken can be money lost!

Disappointed with the service

Been using their system for over 3 years, and one day they just disabled my account and I lost all the the shipping cost and order data, they do not respond to customer service requests at all. I do not recommend ShipStation to any business owner.

Life saver

Vorteile

Best integration I've ever added to my site. I wouldn't be able to live without it. Easy to use, quick and saves me a ton of time.

Nachteile

It can be a little glitchy at times and I would like to have multi country shipping on one platform.
