We use ShipStation to track all of the orders that happen both on marketplaces and retail...
The benefits we get from this software are the ability to assign rules to each SKU that help determine where the product will be shipped from and which carrier to use. I also like that we can sync it with Finale to automatically deducted quantity for our warehouse.
Vorteile
I like that we can add rules and functions to certain SKU's to decide were a part will ship from. This helps substantially so that when an order is placed certain rules pop up to show us where we want to ship a product.
Nachteile
I dislike the format the Product Sales report is exported in. I would prefer that there weren't any cells merging or blank rows because that messes me up with I'm trying to filter for certain things. I think it would be better to have the Store category next to the SKU in it's own separate column rather than on 1 row as a header.

Works most of the time and is great when it does!
Overall great experience, I would recommend it to anyone that is willing to pay up for a premium shipping service

Importing orders automatically and manually from all order sources. Batching orders by Source. The ability to create custom rules for certain sources.
Nachteile
Runs slowly sometimes. Customer Service is not the best. Custom rules are somewhat difficult to set up. Is more expensive than other options (but has WAY more features)

I've been using it for years, its like apple vs pc compared to stamps.com, and other outdated, annoying software thats super limited and quirky (I know stamps.com now owns them, but anyway) I LOVE the ease of use, and they wave your stamps.com account fees when you use them. They saved my business

-Many common-sense features need implementation or improvement upon, though support elects to create features based on votes and not to improve quality of life

Convenience and speedy
If you do a business online, like selling on eBay, Amazon, definitely reach out to this shipstation site. It's so worth your money. I am using a basic mode which is $25/month. I have no regret using this app. It helps and saves me a lot of time printing labels.

- smart to recognize if there are double orders that came from the same address or buyer and the app will notify us to combine order which saves us money and time.

Made my life so much easier!
Vorteile
I really love that the multiple selling platforms that I use for my online retail business are integrated with ShipStation. My orders from Squarespace and Etsy automatically populate and the best function is the "Notify Customer of Shipping" part. Makes fulfilling orders easy and swift!
Nachteile
I don't have any Cons at this moment. Which is great! I did, however, notice that when I log in I have to do several "refreshes" to the page in order to see the most recent orders.

Great for volume sellers
I have a small online resale business that does roughly 15-20 sales/day on three different platforms. I switched from a competitor not long ago and I am very happy I did. Shipstation is very easy to use and works in sync with many selling platforms making it very useful for streamlining operations. I also appreciate the pick list feature because it actually includes a thumbnail of the item. It connects easily to your stamps.com account so you can easily use them together.

A True Headache Saver!
Vorteile
I love having all of my shipping services in one place. We use UPS, FedEx, and USPS so it saves a ton of time and effort from having to bounce back and forth to different services or websites.
Nachteile
We use an online selling platform that does play nice in integrating with Shipstation, so we have to input all of our orders manually, which can be a pain at times. The system is very clearly built to be integrated, and when I've used it with Squarespace it was a dream, but the manual order tools are a bit lackluster.
It also has some peculiarities, like needing to include an email address for a customer to be saved, or not being able to manually create customers, that take some getting used to.

An Excellent Shipping Solution
Vorteile
We came to ShipStation recently and it has absolutely revolutionized the way we handle shipping orders from our store. There is a high degree of transparency in every step of the process. It is a breeze for us to set up and utilize additional shipping methods for our customers, no matter who or where they are. The process is highly efficient and streamlined, and it provides the level of transparency that we were missing with our old solution.
Nachteile
It isn't always immediately clear what is causing problems when they do arise. We have had some issues with the program not allowing us to process a shipping label, usually because the data entered in one of the fields is not what is required, but ShipStation doesn't seem to directly inform us what the issue is (too many characters, incorrect formatting, etc.).

Seamless consolidation and ease of use
Vorteile
I have really enjoyed using Shipstation for a few reasons. #1 - I don't have to pay for each shipment individually, I can just load up the account periodically. #2 - It syncs up with my website store to import orders and I've never had an issue with it. #3 - It just removes multiple steps and keeps it all in one place. Finally, I just like how I can finally print to a Zebra printer (sticker labels) and I don't have to pull out the scissors and tape anymore.
Nachteile
I would like to know more about how to void labels and get credits for labels we've created in error. If we used a carrier directly, we could void it, but for some reason I have not figured out how to receive refunds on labels we didn't use, Do the funds go back into our account? If so, I haven't seen it. This could result in money disappearing.

ShipStation Saves us Thousands in Postage and Employee Time
Vorteile
Since installing ShipStation we have saved thousands of hours for our staff. We also have become a lot more accurate since we no longer have to type in addresses. It allows users to take us a couple days to get each order imported into our POS software, picked, packaged, processed through the POS and then taken to another mail facility to mail. Since we transitioned to ShipStation, we process and ship most orders withing 24 hours. We had one order that we were able to get in ShipStation, pick, and process. The customer had their tracking number and the package was in the mail within 7 minutes of the customer placing the order.
Nachteile
The only downside is that ShipStation connect has to be run every morning to let the printers and labels connect, I wish the software had the ability to start on startup.

Making Life Easy
We are very happy with the software we just wish the integration with Lightspeed POS was a little better.
Vorteile
We have two small retail stores with most of our owners and employees' time dedicated to servicing those in-store customers and providing great experiences for everyone who walks through the door. Shipstation allowed us to open up our online store and divert minimal time to fulfilling the rush of orders we received from our website. During the Covid 19 Pandemic this website with the Shipstation software helped us to keep the doors open.
Nachteile
Integration with our Point of Sale Solution is not perfect and could be improved significantly.

Great interface and non-techies can figure it out
Vorteile
I've used ShipStation with Magento, Shopify and Amazon. It brings all the shipping into one location. I can create rules to automate things like sending a confirmation email to everyone but Amazon customers. Very powerful.
Nachteile
It won't price shop between carriers. This I believe isn't allowed by UPS if you want to use their APIs. This means you can't use FedEx, USPS and UPS and just have ShipStation pick the least expensive method to ship between carriers. Instead I've found another, more advanced shipping tool that will do that.

Cloud Based and easy to use
We moved from Shipworks to Shipping easy to Ship station in a few months span. ShipStation is much easier to use and uses less resources than Shipworks

It was cloud based and is easy to use. Great tool for our team to work together.
Nachteile
Missing some functionality and customizability.
Sometimes takes forever for changes to be made.

Worst customer service ever
Vorteile
Easy to print orders and integrate with marketplaces.
Nachteile
Worst customer service. They keep your tickets open forever. Their inventory import tool does not work. They keep us waiting forever, keep escalating case to someone. Then they answer as if the case was resolved but nothing happens. Really disappointed about the customer service.

Very happy with ShipStation
Can't believe this, but I've been using ShipStation since early 2012 (nearly 9 years)! In fact, I built the original integrations between ShipStation and Ecwid, WooCommerce, and our custom shopping cart Lemonstand. Great experience overall, and it would be the first platform I'd recommend to someone looking for a shipping software.
Vorteile
Honestly, it just works and makes generating shipping labels a snap.
Nachteile
Nothing comes to mind regarding the software. I would like to see real-time chat support return. Don't like having to email support and not know when we'll receive a reply.

Integrates beautifully with SKU Vault, our Inventory Program
We had to migrate from Stamps.com to ShipStation when we converted to our inventory program SKU Vault. ShipStation does a fine job of importing all our orders from various channels allowing us to create postage for every order quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend it!
Vorteile
1) The ability to scan our pick ticket and have the order populate in ShipStation to create the
postage.
2) The ability to save weights, box/package type and ship method as a default for each product, which is a huge time saver the next time an order comes in for that product.
3) ShipStation automatically uploads tracking numbers back to all channels.
4) The ability to print a scan form (ShipStation calls it 'end of day' report) for the Post Office for all our orders, saving tons of time waiting for the PO to scan each order one at a time.
5) Our rep has been very helpful in answering those initial how-to questions until we were comfortable with all the ins and outs of the program.
Nachteile
1) When there is an issue with an incorrect shipping address, Stamps.com will recommend a corrected address. ShipStation does no do that yet.
2) As others have mentioned, I certainly wish it had a lower monthly fee that covered more channels and users.

A time-saving label printing application that also helps retailers in managing their Shipping...

You can effectively organize and manage shipping and service from your e-commerce websites. Presence of a powerful feature to identify return customers. The search customer feature where you can search four to field details of a customer is very robust as it reduces a lot of time. A huge volume of orders is processed with higher fulfillment times. Highly responsive customer service. Automated client communications, integrating emails, messages, and chats. A rugged inventory tracking system, they, in fact, have a lot of templates you can work on.
Nachteile
The user interface gets quite slow at situations. You cant just edit the created orders, you have to take up an additional effort to delete and create another one. The address confirmation feature could be made better. The absence of the desktop version of the software

Shipstation's Utility
Used ship station to manage a order system for a Shopify eCommerce business which was very convenient with their API however I think it could have been more useful for a retail or brick and mortar establishment.
Vorteile
It gives new meaning to 3PL with eCommerce software that can scale with your brand and business vision.
Nachteile
This software is only good if you are well established or create a lot of high-value orders not necessarily for drop shipping or any franking businesses.

Very pleased. It is extremely easy to use, convenient, integrates well and saves us time and money

I love being able to compare all of the carriers easily to see different rates for different packages. In working with this software I have really been able to hone in on different cost savings just by adjusting how I package items. I love how it integrates with ebay, our website and other platforms

I don't love the price, but I also cant complain because we save more money in time and efficiency than we would without this software

We use this to ship out 50+ packages a day
So much better then ship easy and others we tried. This communicates back to our channels with shipping info seamlessly.
Vorteile
Very scaleable, as we have gone from 1-5 boxes a day and now 50, it has been seamless in keeping up and adding efficiency to what we do.
Nachteile
Simpler drop shipping automation would be nice. We send things to our customer's customer and have created a lot of auto rules to ensure this works without breaking any confidentiality or confidence between us and our customers, to ensure a package goes to their customer blind.

Ship station integrates with every selling channel, is a very stable platform and has superior client support. I created a very powerful system by integrating through ship stations API from Infusionsoft to Ship Station.

Use this to integrate my selling platforms into one shipping system
Vorteile
This shipping system makes my life much easier. I can use the Order display as a working window for what needs made and filled. The formatting for the printed labels allows me to brand differently per sales channel. The default shipping profiles make my life a lot easier in not having to setup each shipment. I just click label and everything prints out as I need it.
Nachteile
There is a setup time associated with it and it did take the development team a month or two to finally integrate with one of my channels. The results are awesome, but it can take a while to fine tune the system and find all the particular settings needed to get the desired results.

Hands down the best way to ship with multiple platforms and carriers
Ship station is a life saver and I don't know what I would do without it. I ship with 3 carriers across 4 platforms and ship station combines all of this in one simple to use interface. It is the best option of them all I've tried the others and found myself right at home with shipstation!
Vorteile
Easy to use. Fast. I save about 60 mins every day of my life because of shipstation. It's free to try out to. It goes with you. You only pay based on your levels of volume so it's fair for all to use.
Nachteile
No tracking of delivery exceptions. No expected delivery date column. UPS losses about 1 in 25 packages I ship and I can't see when this happens until the customer calls me angry that it happened. It needs a column that shows expected delivery date and actual delivery date to also track not only missing packages but late packages as well.

ShipStation is a pretty solid option if you handle fulfillment in-house
For the price, it's a very useful tool that can adequately manage a small business's fulfillment processes.
Vorteile
ShipStation is affordable and pretty easy to use. It has many smart features including the ability to combine multiple orders into one shipment, and easily-generated return labels.
Nachteile
ShipStation's communication with Shopify is a one-way street - the order is placed in Shopify and then it gets transferred to ShipStation. It's clear that ShipStation would be more useful if it was a true integration with Shopify.

Least intuitive shipping I've ever yused
TERRIBLE!!! Not my choice to use. Unfortunately other shipping was not an option for this project.

There is nothing I like about this. Ship station and their customer service is terrible.
Nachteile
I have used Stamps.com, used UPS/Fedex directly and all are more direct and intuitive to use than Ship Station. When you need to print you hit print, when you need to create a label or shipment you create. It is ridiculous that you should have to watch a tutorial in order to create a shipment. The assigned sales rep is useless and the help refers you only to videos or article to read and provide little or not help.

Organize all your stores' shipping in one place!
Vorteile
I absolutely love Shipstation. It has streamlined our shipping experience. With 5 different stores, we have been always disorganized with shipping. Shipstation changed that. It allowed us to allow speedy shipping to our customers in an easy way.
Nachteile
Shipstation has many features, but i wish that they would allow more features. I wish they would allow for more advanced features for computer-adept users.

The ability to edit saved addresses is not that easy. It's almost easier to create a new return address label.

Good Shipping Platform for E-Commerce Business
I use this as a customer service to manage the customers' order and overall it has been a good experience.
Vorteile
1. Easy to track customers' orders.
2. Cancellation and holding customers' order are really easy.
3. Integrate well with another software like Shopify.
Nachteile
1. Sometimes the order are not instantly appear on Shipstation.
2. UI could be confusing at first.
3. Terms and jargon that used also could be confusing.

One of the best shipping softwares
We've been using ship station to ship our web and wholesale orders to our customers. Everything is amazing.
Vorteile
I like everything about ship station, it integrates with multiple sales channels including shopify, amazon and woocommerce. You can generate reports from raw data that give you visibility of how you are performing, from sales to qty sold/ship , taxes, profits, etc. It lets you create shipping labels that generate real time rates from the selected shipping service.
Nachteile
I believe ship station has everything you need, if it was up to me, I would just add more reports instead of having to export data to excel and build them yourself.

I think it's great.
Vorteile
It's super easy to use and downloads all the info. from my ecommerce site to populate the labels with addresses and it also brings over all the product info!
Nachteile
I can't really think of any cons right now. Since I'm new to shipping software in general, thus far this has been the best solution for us! I guess it would be cool if we could customize our label to have our logo on it...

Shipstation Works Great with PayPal
I have started using Shipstation since PayPal has intergraded it as it's postage/printing service. It works great.
Vorteile
I thought at first it would be a pain to switch, but Shipstation is easy to navigate and figure out.
Nachteile
Some features take a little getting used to and a little time to find but overall it's good,

This software is very user friendly and compatible with other 3rd party software. It is also easy to configure for your own company.

I really do not have any complaints at this time! The way it was developed makes it very user friendly

Easiest way to ship online
It's easier to fill out than any other online shipping and has the combined packaging options of all of them. I've never made a mistake using ShipStation and the price is the best on the market.
Vorteile
The copy and paste address feature lets you copy and paste the shipping address and the website fills in the blanks properly. No more mistaken addresses because of typos!

I love everything about it. Haven't found a con yet!

Easiest Shipping Software to Use
Vorteile
- SO easy to understand and use, very intuitive
- Takes care of every part of the shipping process
- Integrates with pretty much everyone and everything you would want it to
Nachteile
- Occassionally we have had issues with order imports with fields having limitations on characters. The character limits they have in place seem pretty arbitrary
- Is not compatible with Amazon Custom (can't import custom information)

Does mostly what you need it to do

Shipstation was lightweight, and easy to deploy and integrated well with our systems.
Nachteile
Lacks kitting/bundling functionality. This has long been promised but has yet to be deployed.

Very easy to use
Vorteile
Optimized user interface. Setting up is very easy. Customer service for the higher tier is great and can fix issues as needed. Updates often except during the peak seasons. Has a forum for possible new fixes to add new features to the software.
Nachteile
Customer service is not 24 hours. A new update comes to the software and changes the flow of work for everyone not just for one company. Limited functions for scanning at the time i started using it.

Handles our shipping needs easily
Vorteile
Great that we're able to sync all our WooCommerce stores to ShipStation. We handle both bulk and individual orders, Shipstation is quite flexible in handling both.
Nachteile
The shipping cost calculator could be improved.

Ship Station
So far it has been ok. If they can fix the search button and add customer support then it would be much better.
Vorteile
Paypal signed me up to use ship station through the portal. It was very easy to get it started. So far it has been easy and have had zero issues.
Nachteile
I dont like how there is no customer support to call when having an issue. A big flaw for me is not being able to search for a shipment by name. I have to scroll through all the pages to find anything.

Perfect!
I have run a small online business where I manufacture and sell the products for 4 years now and am very prone to efficiency. One thing that I noticed and did not like was that just shipping orders would take almost as long as product production itself. From copying and pasting addresses to bouncing from on selling avenue to another is both time consuming and somewhat confusing when delagating the task to others that are stepping from their normal tasks to help pick up the slack. Moving to Ship Station was one of those game changing moments for my business! I cannot imagine a better system for getting the right information in the right place to increase productivity and ease of use. That free'd up time and mental load has made it possible to invest more in areas that can increase growth rather than just maintaining. During the free trial I told a friend of mine that also produces and sells online "I don't care what this costs, it is worth it just in how much time it frees up". Luckily, the company does not seem to be greedy(which is a real problem these days) and for $25 a month I am saving hours upon hours in time an headache.
