Jive meets our organizations needs
We have auto attendant but also want customers to have the option of speaking to a live person. We can have the person press 0 and it will ring at as many phones as you like so even though the receptionist is on the phone it will ring to 6 other people and if they don't answer it goes back to the receptionist. So always a live person to answer if needed. This solved a huge problem for us and not having that option before.
Vorteile
I like that you can customize it to do almost anything that you want. It has great flexibility and we as an organization have control on how we want to use it.
Nachteile
Our last system would notify our receptionist if someone was calling 911 within our organization with a distinctive ring and then they were able to pick up and listen in to the call right away and know what the issue was and where. It is good that key people do get a email however we do miss the old option we had.

This is full functional cloud PBX system. I like the dial plan feature its just like drag and drop thing.

Nachteile
desktop application is missing, i'm using web interface to make and receive calls. Outlook integration should be part of this deal so we can simply click the number and make call to email sender instead of copy pasting the number to webphone

Go for VoIP!
Vorteile
Really great mobile integration to make for a seamless transition from your work location to transit/home. This helps us stay connected, manage contacts and most importantly save money. GUI is very intuitive and quick to learn.
Nachteile
Our internet service provider has been unreliable over the past year - this caused some connectivity issues and impacted the overall satisfaction with this approach. However, the Jive team is always helpful in these situations.

Horrible dishonest company

Jive was the worst decision we could have ever made as a company. They are dishonest, rude, and tried to double bill us at the end. Seems like it's run out of someone's basement. Trying to discontinue service with them is just about impossible. STAY AWAY!!

Ease of use and reliability, especially voicemail which if a call is not answered it goes to my cell phone and then if there is no response, it sends me a an email with the voicemail to listen too. The 3 way calling is also great.

Can't really think of anything! We do not have any issues or complaints with this software these past 3 years.

Has enabled staff to work from home, easy to use, and support staff are excellent!
The ability to work from home, control conference calls, and use many different avenues for communication.
Vorteile
The ease of use when changing schedules, adding voice prompts, and the conference bridges. Support staff are readily available and are quick to resolve issues with excellent follow up.
Nachteile
The app is sometimes problematic, will hang up randomly, gets strange when connecting to bluetooth in the car. Sometimes I have to restart my phone to get the app to work properly. Also, don't like the "Access my Contacts" screen being difficult to stop asking. Unfortunately I have to use my personal phone for work and do not want that to mingle with my work information.

It's just so easy to setup!
Very clear audio. Customer services and setup was a breeze!

Jive is awesome!
Has been a great experience, one of my best decisions.
Vorteile
Not having any line limitations. If 100 people all call at the same time they will all go through without having to have 100 different phone lines and having to manage 100 different numbers.
Nachteile
Nothing with the software, the Polycom handset has some quirks that take some getting used to.

Tech Support is ALWAYS there for me, and I need them more often than I'd care to admit!
I have a phone system that works well, offers more functionality than could a traditional phone system and is fairly easy to use and tweak to my needs.
Vorteile
Seamless integration with existing network, easy interface, outstanding customer support. I like the way the various modules are arranged in the Admin section.
Nachteile
Really nothing to complain about, except being a little old and having a rough time getting this technology into my thinking.

After trying this software you cant go back!
Vorteile
Having ONE application to interact with all employees AND customers. Video calling is without a doubt the best way to answer questions from customers when it comes to the visual aspect of construction. It allows us to assess the situation twice as fast and it puts our customers at ease. We use this application strictly for non intake customers. I cannot tell you how nice it is to not give out our personal cell phones or have them get tied up or put on hold in our old multi line phone.
Nachteile
Sometimes the call quality cuts out, which can be frustrating during service calls. Customer service can be a bit of a hassle as well.

Perfect for remote assistance
With so many remote workers this has allowed us to stay in touch and up and running no matter what is going on.

With the pandemic affecting how we work day-to-day, this helps us stay up and running as our IT guy can remote into our systems without us having to visit the office. Game changer!

We will be significantly reducing costs, eliminating an premise switch, and consolidating all 6 locations into a single, easy to manage platform that can contract and expand with our future needs.
Vorteile
Although we are early in the process, Jive has been working well and customer support and follow up is superb.

We had a complex conference AV system that required some card changes to talk to Jive's proprietary SIP platform.

Amazing. Communcations are so much smoother.

The dial plans. They are built with a simple drag and drop layout.
Nachteile
The mobile app (softphone) is a little glitchy, but they are always working on improving it. As of now, you don't have the ability to delete texts. We got hit company-wide by a stupid spam text advertising some really nasty stuff, but weren't able to delete them. They said that that should be enabled by 2019.

Don't waste your time...
My experience with this company was probably the worst experience you could have with any company.
Vorteile
I didn't like a single thing about this company. The phones were delivered late, then the incorrect amount of phones, set up and assistance was non-existent. Out of the two dozen times I contacted them for help, the person on the other end of the line was of absolutely no assistance and was only interested in pimping out a high survey score. Every contact had a survey attached to it...no matter how small.
Nachteile
The support staff was, basically, useless. The fact that everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, meant that I was on my own. The staff was only interested in getting high scores on surveys that were sent to you after every single contact.

We had a very poor experience, and we don't be considering it in the future.

There wasn't much that worked for us on this software, but customer service was responsive although not helpful.
Nachteile
Nothing seemed to work. Calls were always dropping, not coming through, showing as unavailable. A lot was promised to us when we signed up, and little to nothing was delivered.

One of our Best Vendors
Vorteile
We have used Jive for at least 4 years now, and are quite happy. I LOVE how we can just take a phone, plug it into the internet, and no matter where we are, we have an office. This is particularly valuable as we continue our growth, so we move into larger offices frequently, including opening an office in Puerto Rico. Their customer service is as good as it gets, always prompt and easy fixes. And the sound quality is unbelievable, its like they are in the room with you! I have recommended Jive many times.
Nachteile
Only bad thing is every few months we have to unplug and replug in a phone to reboot it. And if internet goes down, so does the phone.

accessibility and mobility of use is definitely key. i like that if i'm away from my office i can use the app. and i like the newest upgrade of it making it easier to hear voicemails

Just what I was looking for
Vorteile
We switched from onsip to Jive and the quality so far is better and easier to manage. Jive also has a lot of features that help manage a small office and I feel quite comfortable knowing we can grow with them. We received a great deal on new phones and tech support has been helpful.

Modern day phone system
Vorteile
I like many features as I am always looking for VoIP and telephone options for my young business. I like many things: it's month-to-month and I can also add/subtract devices as needed. Jive doesn't lock you into a contract which is nice. Their interface is pretty intuitive, while being powerful at the same time. The dial plan editor is fabulous and makes setting up and changing an IVR much more simple than other tools I've used. I also love the ability to add call filters so that our company spends less time dealing with trash calls. Using my cell phone as a Jive "office" phone lets me always appear to be in the office, even if I'm on the beach on vacation. That's a great feature. The continued evolution and growth of the Jive platform, as well as the outstanding support are the key reasons for my recommendation to anyone considering Jive as their phone system provider.
Nachteile
It's a cloud service, however we have not been successful in getting a report of call history on a number for the past year. I have to call in and make a request from customer service.

Jive Voice has revolutionized our client calls

Jive Voice is so easy and user-friendly. I am able to setup conference calls with people all over with little to no effort and the quality is almost always perfect.

The one negative I have experienced with Jive Voice is that the quality of your calls is somewhat dependent on the strength of your own network, and therefore can vary.

The automation and the features available with the system are great. We are in a remote location with a very old telecommunication switch so phone features were not available to us until we moved to Jive.
Nachteile
Off shore help desk result in different ways to set things up and depending on who you get will dictate how the changes you need will be applied. Because of this, we must call anytime we need a change.

Mediocre Phone Software

At the start of switching over to Jive from CloudCall, I liked how clear the calls were and how frequently they stayed like that. Right when we rolled Jive out, things were great.
Nachteile
Everything about it after the first couple weeks. I literally wish every single day that we could switch back to CloudCall, as Jive has dropped repeatedly and continues to do so every day.

Jive App Issues
Spoke with Tech Support and they advised it's an issue they are working on. I would think this would be something that has already been tested for consistency and if it continues, we may need to find another vendor. We spend alot of money for marketing campaigns and can't rely on the Jive App to allow our employee's to receive calls only when the Jive App decides to work or not.

We are a mobile app company and all of our consumers either download our app from the app store or call our marketing numbers. I liked how we don't need a VOIP phone system or landline to use the Jive function for incoming consumer calls.
Nachteile
The Jive App has been inconsistent for our employee's to where we have to constantly test our marketing numbers to see if they ring through the Jive App on a daily basis. Many times only a few in our group will receive a call through the Jive App and some do not. We are constantly loggin in/out or reseting the Jive App to be able to receive incoming marketing calls.

Best decision I have made for my business
I love that customer service and technical support email you their contact information so you don't have to call back and talk to a different agent about the same issue. They really go the extra mile to make sure that everything is the way it should be and that as a customer you are happy with the service.

Great service for our Remote users
We have been using Jive for almost a year. We started with only one phone for our helpdesk. We needed a way to transfer a single phone number between people to cover weekend and holidays. We previously had to drive to the building and make a forwarding change on a desk phone. By switching to a web PBX we can just login and make any changes necessary. We are now using the service for our Speakerphones and mobile staff.
Vorteile
We can have a single phone number to serve several shifts, even if they aren't in the same geographic region.
We can use the smartphone app or forward the calls to one or more people, or all simultaneously.
Adding phones is nearly painless, most users don't need to any new wiring, and you don't need to hire a technician.
Nachteile
We have occasionally had call quality issues, but this is more a reflection on the internet provider than on Jive.
If you don't have an internet connection you can't make or receive a call, but again, this is an internet provider issue, not Jive.

Easy to Use
It has been 95% positive, and the 5% that was difficult was fairly quickly solved with tech support.
Vorteile
Once you figure out/understand the functions that you will be using, its very easy to navigate.
Nachteile
It was a difficult to get initially set up, and can be confusing when you're trying to use a new feature. Finding the answers yourself is difficult, but the tech support is very helpful.

Satisfied Customer of Jive Communications
Vorteile
We moved over to Jive approximately two years ago. This move eliminated the need to have business lines AND cell phones. By having all our business lines forwarded to cell phones we reduced our overall phone costs by almost 75%. WE no longer have any business lines into our office and only use personal cell phones
The initial set up was fairly easy, and the customer support and troubleshooting was very good.
By moving over to Jive we had no down time when we moved to a new office location as our phone lines were already being forwarded to individual cell phones.
Overall we are very pleased with the customer service provided by Jive and their service.
Nachteile
Don't have any complaints to speak of. Their follow through is very good, as well as customer service.

Always Accessible and Helpful
Always Accessible and Helpful whether forwarding phones, changing ring flows or just basic questions - they team is always helpful.
Vorteile
Very powerful for all needs and desires of function.
Nachteile
Sometimes the options are so extensive it can be overwhelming but support always helps. At present having an issue with a brand new router that is more secure than the old being on the DO NOT USE List so this is creating a bit of an issue but I'm hopeful it will get resolved.

Customer Service is Great - Too Bad I Have To Keep Calling
Vorteile
The Jive team's customer service is fantastic - their people are not only willing to help, but they do so patiently and then ask how ELSE they can help.
Their app integration works well.
Their prices are very reasonable.
Nachteile
Having trouble getting the VOIP calls to be clear through our wireless system because we have a Comcast router. I'm not sure if other services would have this issue with Comcast as well...
Their desktop app "Jitsi" is very glitchy - answering calls can be hit or miss, depending on if you have the right browser open.

They don't have an external desktop app.
Call recording is not within their system, you have to set up Amazon S3 for it.
