Vorteile

Vyond is a great tool for creating visual storyboards. While it's not a true replacement for motion graphics, the simple UI allows for anyone to quickly and easily create a simple video explainer without spending thousands of dollars for a professional animator. I also like how you can import your own assets. The tool is surprisingly flexible.

Nachteile

I wish there were more assets to choose from. I would love for there to be more of a community around creating assets and visual styles to choose from. For example, creating isometric videos in 3D would be cool.

With this platform you can create animated videos in whiteboard as well as motion animation. It provides great quality and because it is a cloud-based tool you can work remotely in a team.
To save time animating a character, it has a library of programed actions to select and apply to your character like talking on a phone. The graphics provide a family friendly feature for business.

Nachteile

It comes in extremely over priced versions and you have to rely on the internet's connection as this is an SaaS platform. It has a default added in logo in the basic version.

It's so easy to use to create fun videos. It's great that the characters can even follow along with audio by automatically moving their mouths. Very easy to customize characters, but if you're a beginner they have amazing templates to start with.

The software functionality is great. I wish it was somewhat more affordable.

I am still a new user of the platform so the templates are very helpful to begin development. As I get more familiar with the platform I would like to begin building my own.

I wish there was a way for people to add comments to specific areas of the video in the review process.

I created a 2-minute video for my product in one evening, including learning time. It works like PowerPoint or Google Slides, but for videos. Lots of characters/avatars to choose from, and fun to make your own character/avatar. I have already received many compliments on the video.

Nachteile

More diverse options for clipart ("props") would be appreciated, especially for my product, which is focused in mental health / physiology. The pricing differences between the trial (full watermark), $49/mo. (corner watermark), and $89/mo. (no watermark) seemed a bit steep, but I paid it anyway to have a video with no watermark.

The speed at which you as a user can create a video. I have no media background and I was able to take this software and teach myself to make videos that are meaningful for the business.

Nachteile

The lack of collaboration. If you are working on a video you have to download and send to different users for their feedback. There is not a way where multiple editors can do it at the same time.

Vyond is so user-friendly! There is very little learning curve. If there is a feature I need assistance with, the help section is very efficient and useful.

The best thing about this is that assets are pre-made, some have animations built into it, and sound effects/tracks are included.

The only thing i wish was here was an easy align and distribute tool, similar to the tools in adobe software.

Characters are easy to modify. So are scenes and all other features. Highly recommend.

audio uploads can't be bigger than 15 MG, so I had to use Audacity to chop up the recording to input. That was not super difficult. I would do again!

More diverse characters. Perhaps minorities wearing a variety of clothing (work, everyday clothes, etc.)

This software is extremely easy to use and has a large amount of templates to choose from. Just about everything is customizable and new features are constantly being added.

The only trouble I've run into is getting the lip sync feature to carry over to a new clip. After a few tries I was able to get it to work.

I love how intuitive using the software is. Without much direction, I was able to navigate the tool and start building. The templates are a huge timesaver, but there's still so much room for customization. My favorite part is designing characters. It's really fun, and my 4 year old daughter loves watching the process and picking out colors for me. She thinks my job is cool now!

Some features are functions are less intuitive and more cumbersome, like having to continue a scene to show different character movements. The longer the video gets, the slower editing can be.

I have never made a video before, and Vyond is fairly easy to understand and make videos with. Their templates and backgrounds with animations already included help a lot. They also have more features and funtionality that someone with more experience would be able to use to make amazing videos.

The only bad thing that may start happening is that people can notice the characters and animations made in Vyond, which doesn't help our brand stand out. If we can make custom characters and request them to make certain ones for us for more money, that'd be a great addition.

I find the timeline difficult to work with. I am still learning and may be lacking in the skills that create my obstacles. For example, I am not able to change the timing of multiple assets at the same time. I also am not a fan that the asset can go beyond the end of the slide, but not easily align to the end. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but the timeline edits differently than I am used to.
