The software is web based and I can use it anywhere. It is also intuitive you can learn the tool without a lot of training.

Nachteile

There are some movement limitations in creating your videos. For example if you want to add movement the character agility is somewhat stiff. Also, from time to time there are technical issues such as frequent reloading, freezing or static in the recording.

Vorteile

Vyond is very easy to use, you can create some very impressive animations quickly. I like that there is a variety of skin colors and body types, as well as some disabilities represented.

Nachteile

I would like some non-human characters, such as robots or aliens. I do wish there was a less expensive version for the individual use (not business).

I like that you can add narration and sync it with characters. You can also customize characters and it’s been so helpful that PPE features have been added.

Sometimes it freezes and I also don’t like that I have to preview to see a scene. I’d like to play it without having to preview and scrub through the time line.
I’d also like to be able to add overlays a lot easier for example adjusting shapes over images.

I wish the asset library had a search functionality as sometimes it is difficult to find things that you previously uploaded.

You can easily build custom characters to fit with the people in your company. personalized cartoon figures help your customer associate your video with your company. Is it really easy to upload your own branding, voiceovers, and any other element you need to tell your story.

Nachteile

I would prefer a single yearly fee that was around $100. As it is I will sign up a couple of months a year on and off. I would love to have it all year but as a sole business, I can't afford it. It's like with canvas, even though it is monthly the fee is low. So I keep it all year. I use it all the time much more than I thought I would. I think it would be the same with Vyond if I could afford to have it all the time. It would make an excellent marketing tool.

Vyond is my number 1 choice for creating animated videos for my business marketing, training material etc. I liked their easy to use features, and mostly the pricing. If I hired a professional to create animated videos my marketing materials it would cost a lot, Vyond saved a big amount of money in that case. We are really loving this tool.

It is difficult to say as it saved us a lot of money. I think the tool is worth of money.

This software is almost too easy. You can put together informational videos in the matter of minutes. We create videos for our employees to train and learn with no prior animation skills.

The thing I like least is if you change a color on something way later (let’s say... a cubicle), you have to manually change each scene beforehand. It would be nice if you could auto-change the specific item across all scenes with some feature. I’ve just chosen not to change it, because of the frustration on each scene.

I would like to see closed captions, SVG compatibility, more templates for outlining process flows, but these are all pie in the sky requests. Vyond is an incredible tool already.

I like that it's easy to use and comes with a lot of templates to get you started. For beginners or people who need to turn something around really quickly, the templates can save a lot of time and provide some quality animations.

There are a lot of templates and characters, but I have to say I'm starting to recognize them within our own organization and on other companies websites and videos. The main characters and the templatizes scenes and backgrouds are easily recognizable so it's hard to make it feel customer and unique after you've made a lot of them. That's the price for becoming such a popular tool I guess--you'll start to see very similar work popping up from other Vyond users.

In our instructional design we have implemented media creation and this is a great tool for just that. We have been able to reduce training time by creating videos that transmit knowledge in less time. Our survey results show that people prefer learning this way and most important they really enjoy it.

The options to create personalized characters is awesome however I still believe that its missing some option to create more personalized characters. For example long hair for girls

This software is going to blow your learners minds. Each time I share a video the audiences faces light up! They will sit up and be way more engaged in this new world of E-Learning. Just because you aren’t in person doesn’t mean your content has to be delivered in a sub par way.

I mean it’s not cheap and getting your company to get it approved will have it’s own steps but boy once it goes through it’s worth it.

I love it! The feature I love the most is that you can use a recording and the animations lips move along with the audio you use. All the things you can create with characters makes it Soo much fun. Another thing I like is that it has predetermined scenery which makes it really easy when you have to create videos fast.

In my organization there are many people using vyond for training updates. I wish I could put a password in the folder where I store my videos.

Sometimes the timeline is cumbersome if you have a screen that has multiple assets, I can be difficult to manage them. Also, I wish there were a feature to hide/show assets when developing.

It can be difficult to make "live" training material when you don't have a team to skilled presenters handy, especially as many of us continue to work from home. With Vyond, I have been able to create a cast of characters all by myself.

Once you become familiar with simple tricks and tips, the timeline builder is easy to use and creates seamless animation while building one "slide" at a time.

If you're a "jump right in" kind of person, there can be a bit of a learning that sometime comes with trial by error. But like anything, the more you use it, the easier it gets.

Vyond is incredibly easy to learn. The extensive selection of templates help users springboard into a finished product with the addition of a few details. Users can be as design as much or little of a video as desired and still come out with a professional product. The software is continuously being updated with more features to make it more useful and versitile.

The software can sometimes take time to save and transition from the video library back to the design screens. But, I've never lost any work and that's worth the extra time it takes to save videos.

What I like most about the software are the already built templates that I can customize as needed. Some of the templates are even based on topics or categories and help me organize my thoughts when creating a video.

Nachteile

The only thing I would really like Vyond to have is closed captioning as this is really important in our organization. I know I can do open captions but that isn't quite what we want.

It is very easy to learn Vyond in a short time. The interface is rather user-friendly and simple to navigate. It has a bunch of assets and templates in the library. You can choose your desired assets from the built-in library or upload yours and use them in no time.

There is no animation effects tailed for text. It should allow users to create folders to manage or organize their uploaded files in the library.

Vyond is a super easy tool to learn if you are already used to slide-based development strategies. The interface is similar to other eLearning authoring tools, so the learning curve was not very steep. The character animation options are what set this tool apart from other animation software. TI have found huge time savings using Vyond and my learners and stakeholders agree that the look and feel is modern and "refreshing."

Nachteile

The only learning curve I experienced was getting used to how Vyond "continues scenes." There are some moments I have to rework slides because my character doesn't flow from one scene to the next--this is especially true if I need to re-record audio or insert an audio clip replacement. I have also found some limitations with the asset library and the character's outfits and expressions. Would also like to see Vyond continue to add in diversity to the library in more ways than skin color.

I love that I can create learning content that is interesting, jovial, and informational. It's extremely easy to use and get set up as well, which makes the learning curve that much speedier. There are lots of options from templates to props to characters.

Although there are lots of options when creating characters, I do wish there was a little more customization of placement or color selections. But this is such a small thing as there really are a good amount of options!

As the title implies, I'm not a video communicator. I'm a writer, I'm a designer, but producing videos is not something I'm entirely adept at or enjoy doing. Until Vyond. This software makes it so east to create a video that it's fool-proof. There's still talent required to have a great script to start. But with that, anyone can make a video. I particularly love the templates and e-blasts to get new tools and tricks. I still won't say I love making videos, but it's been an invaluable tool in my communication packages.

Because I am a graphic designer, there are things I want to make happen in a video that I'm not able to do with Vyond. But for what I'm doing, I don't need anything more technical or advanced than the drag and drops and adjustments this tool offers.

I had tried some of the Adobe products and the learning curve was pretty steep. Vyond made it easy to quickly make a video and make it look like the character was talking. All my clients have been very impressed with what I'm able to produce.

Some of the interface isn't straightforward, I've had to fiddle around to make it do what I want for some of my projects. Overall though, I've been able to figure out how to make it do what I want it to do.

It is difficult using it in the browser sometimes. There are no alignment tools for text and graphics (from what I can tell) and I feel like the zoom function is awkward.

It's quick to learn, and with clear tools you can instantly start practicing and being productive. Linking your audio to any character makes voice work simple and easy. Having animation created for you with just your beginning and end points makes the process far quicker for producing useful videos. I really like the expert webinars they offer which takes your basic skills to new heights and allows you to be creative beyond what you can come up with by yourself.

I would like even more tools for customizing the characters, especially in the face and a few more in the body types and sizes, although they have expanded it some in the past few years.

If you are a beginner in video creation and want to enhance training or any other media with infographics then Vyond is your answer! I started using this 3+ years ago and it changed the way we provide training. Its a great resource to change text based material into infographic video.

I can't say anything bad about it other than maybe adding more resources and being able to integrate other media into the software easier. Sometimes the software closes or stops working properly if you load in external media.

Vyond allows for rapid creation/storyboarding. The stock animations, images, music, and sound provide a plethora of project assets. A huge plus is the ability to create custom characters.

I also like that I have the ability to create my own characters. This program is very user-friendly and gives frequent updates to its users.

Having spent my career working in timeline-based animation software, Vyond was easy to pick up with well-written tutorials. I love the examples that are shared with the community to give you how-to tips and get the creative juices flowing.

I haven't found anything yet. It seems like the technical roadmap is always being updated based on user requests, which is great.

Once we started using Vyond, our video and communications was never the same again. Vyond enables us to use props, characters and animations along with music and sound effects to speak more effectively to our audience. It's the convenience factor of having access to all the assets that drives the team to be more creative and capable of producing videos quickly. Thus, saving us time. Vyond has positioned our team front and center to the leadership team as well as the audience.

There are some limitations to the software but Vyond is continuously updating their software and communicating the updates to the clients through emails.
