Works good
Vorteile
Works good for the price we pay which is half of what we used to pay. I would reccomend to a friend that is on a budget
Nachteile
Can be spotty and slow at times, but usually it works good. You get what you pay for so dont expect anything crazy.

Awesome
It was so amazing how my business partner and I were able to use this service for our business even though we are in separate countries. It was very easy to use and the customer service offered was exceptional. I would highly recommend this service to everyone especially since the prices are awesome.

If you are looking for Voip look elsewhere
Vonage is legacy Voip solution and the only features that work for them is the aggressive sales. Once a customer is onboard then nothing matters, quality is not good. Would not recommend. Not a good solution
Nachteile
Mobile is very unreliable and the desktop version of the software does not work. Support is pathetic, keep raising tickets but nothing happens. Invisible charges are added to the invoices, overall a bad experience.

Good System
As mentioned we have used Vonage with our NVM phone system to be able to use our phones from home during the current situation. Very useful.
Vorteile
I have only recently used Vonage to help to transfer our phone system from office to work from home and it was very easy to set up and very quick.
Nachteile
There hasn't been anything so far that I have found to be negative and I have been using this for over a week now.

A paid alternative to Google voice
Vorteile
Vonage was the first VoIP service I used when starting my virtual school teaching job. Their customer service was great. My calls were very clear and the provided phone was decent quality. I had a very basic plan and it had a lot of coverage for the price.
Nachteile
Pricing was very frustrating. I could easily call in and haggle my bill to half of what it was. If you are allowing people to pay half price, why not just charge a lower rate to begin with?

This system is used in my retail store
Vorteile
WiFi calling. No long distance fees. Phones are good quality. Minimal issues with dropped calls due to internet connection. Voicemail forwards to my outlook account.
Nachteile
Dropped calls. Occasional call quality is less than a standard landline. Digital noise. Initial setup took time. Required tech support to get everything setup correctly. Not an intuitive setup.

Good phone service - managing the setup needs a technical degree

We love this as our phone provider as it is very cost effective and we have few service interruptions.
Nachteile
The phone system setup is very hard to use - it feels like you need a technical degree! to set ours up I had to have their support walk me through the whole process. Now I don't touch it.

Simplicity and much lower cost than landlines. Vonage let us have big company functionality at a low cost and the product allowed us to work from home and customers never knew.

Reports are good to start, but it's possible to outgrow them if your business grows large.

A little more expensive than necessary
It's a good system if you need a powerful package but not as much for small potatoes.
Vorteile
It has a soft phone and can connect to hard equipment. It was relatively easy to implement. It came with all of the components necessary to connect it.

The learning curve of this software is pretty steep and it's not always easy to integrate with existing comms.

Vonage Has Been Excellent!
Vorteile
Vonage has provided us with excellent and clear communications systems for our business. It's been so crucial for us to keep our phone systems clear with clients across the globe and with Vonage we've accomplished just that!
Nachteile
Initially the fees seemed to be a little bit high but after you really break down what you get for the price, Vonage can't be beat!

Use for our IT recruiting company
So far its been good. We have had for about 4 months and seems pretty easy to use and reliable. The cell phone app seems to have some issues when trying to make calls.

Really the only thing I liked was the fact that you could customize your plan virtually anyway you want or anyway that fits best with your business.
Nachteile
I gave this a pretty fair shot and never seemed to get good clarity with it. I would call into tech support and go through various troubleshooting issues but they never seems to help. At best I would have a very slight lag in the calls and always seems to have a slight echo which drove me crazy.

Its been alright.
again it works so if you need a reliable voip this would be great its just not a bells and whistles type of application .

So one pro is that you will actually get phone calls, (had that issue with another VOIP)
you can use this as a desktop application or you can you log on to their site.
Nachteile
I dont like how the phone rings, it rings very loudly over everything. Which i find really annoying,
its also hard to tell if someone else answered the phone.

You get what you pay for
Vonage gave us decent call quality. It was very entry-level phone service. It would work great some days, not so great other days. If you need phone service for normal business needs, you'll probably be completely satisfied. If your teams are constantly on the phones all day, Vonage may not meet your needs. I'm sure that you can get better service in some areas vs others, too. Our business outgrew Vonage rather quickly.

Vontage was great
Vorteile
This is pretty easy to set up. Since it is virtual it is quite easy to scale to fit growing or changing organization.

They merged with another company and everything got worse. The main issue was tech support. Any issues became big problems.

We have many offices and it would could transfer calls from office to office. That was pretty cool.

Customer support is not good

Reliable Service/ Fair pricing / Customer support could be better / Departments don't work...
The service itself is very good and setting up is pretty easy. My frustrations came from Vonage not knowing what's going on. I had to reach out to them the day of switchover and they had no that day was the day we were switching to Vonage despite multiple emails confirming this date.
Vorteile
The GUI is very user friendly. Service has been very reliable, Flat rate on toll free, Support usually pretty responsive and knowledgeable.
Nachteile
They don't seem very organized. Departments don't know what the other department has done. No contact numbers just emails to entire groups for example you can't call contact a specific person you have to email an entire department. I prefer at least having a point of contact. Not all support agents are the best. Couple times I just hung and called got another support tech to help me.

Stick to what you have

I liked that it was month to month billing instead of a full year contract. Feature list is great, easy to install and awesome sound quality.
Nachteile
Customer service is absolutely awful! I spoke with someone and they didn't even know what they were talking about. SO after wasting about 30 min of my time i hung up and tried looking online for a solution.

Expansive features but price point an issue
Switched back to our former software for conferencing despite lesser features as price point for our business was going to be a major consideration long term.
Vorteile
Feature set is extensive, compared to our previous preferred conferencing option. Also, messaging option was useful for keeping everyone updated, especially as some of our staff are based further afield in San Diego and we’re not always reachable for full conferencing.
Nachteile
Price is expensive considering what we had with our initial set up. Felt it outweighed the feature set.

Great Product
After reviewing several VOIP phone systems, I found Vonage Business to be the most affordable, flexible and easy to use with great support. It's valued increases as you take advantage of initial programs that offer free phones and/or referrals.

Constant problems, hard to reach customer service
If something goes wrong your business Will be without phones for several days as you cannot get in contact with customer service immediately. We thought we would save money with this but in reality, if you include our own man hours for set up and troubleshooting we are paying much more for a phone service.

We thought this would be a cheaper alternative but any savings has been wiped out when you calculate the man hours for trouble shooting

Set up is overly complicated and since you have to wait days for service help no one can call our business!

Terrible Customer Service
Their customer support team is really terrible to it's customers. They are rude when the customer does not understand the price quotes and they say it's either you pay that or no service(s). That is not how a customer should be treated. If Vonage Management wants to reach out to me for the agent names they may do so

Their website leads on that it's a great software. I had been a residential customer for quite some time and considered using Vonage for my business. I love that they offer the call waiting, call recording and much more

Good value for the price
Vorteile
easy to use and get use to the interface, price per month and month to month billing. easy to set up and don't need a headset.
Nachteile
call quality is not the best, cracking and popping on the line, calls drop a lot. Customer service is offshore and third party, gets hard to cancel. Don't count on taking your numbers with you.

I have been using Vonage for almost a year now for my small business. After the headache of the initial setup, everything has been great.

Good, but some stuff needs work

The interface was easy to learn, and quite intuitive. The text messaging feature was very helpful with our day to day.
Nachteile
The instability of the application. There was several occasions, where calls would drop or not even connect at all. There was also some lag when the application was up for a whole day.

Good features, but a bit difficult at first
Vorteile
The phone system has great features, everything you would want in a phone system. The ability to easily route calls remotely through their cell phone app is a big plus.
Nachteile
The difficulty of understanding their phones - They are not at all intuitive, and the prompts don't really explain much. A user manual really is required reading, and that's never a good thing when you have hundreds of people in a company, many who are quite novice with this stuff.

Easy, Efficient and Inexpensive
I have been using Vonage for my home phone line for 3 years. I have had no interruption in service. I use this line for a scanner/fax machine as well with no problems. I have saved a lot of money over using Comcast for the same service.

If Internet went out, I would lose service. This has not been an issue in 3 years of use.

Front end web can use a design upgrade. End up using the mobile app more than anything else due to that.
