If your customers can handle it, an effective Customer Support tool
Overall I find that GoToResolve can be great for filling in gaps where other screensharing apps are lacking, such as transferring files.
Vorteile
I like how we can transfer files, so a customer can send me files, or I can send to them.

A great way to provide in-house tech support to our crews in the field!
I am able to assist our field guys with their software/computer issues right from my office, quickly and efficiently!
Vorteile
I am the "resident tech-support" in our office for almost all of our superintendents and field crews. If they're having trouble with a program, or their laptop, I'm usually their first resort, before we call the outsourced IT company we use. For a lot of our jobs out of town, it's difficult for the supervisors to get their laptop in quickly to be checked in person, and Go-To-Assist makes it easy and efficient for me to access their computer and (usually) quickly resolve the issue they're having! I love that I can see and control their computer right from my office, no matter where they are, as long as they have an internet connection.
Nachteile
There really isn't anything I can think of that I don't like about this software. I've never had any issues with it, other than a little bit of lag, which is due to internet connections and not the software!

Simple footprint, Trusted Citrix platform. Easy for customers.
This has my recommendation because of the overall quality, like i mentioned before it has a super small footprint for client, and they do not need any real technical knowledge to initiate the support. I have tried with some of my own family, you know that computer illiterate aunty we all have. Yes, even her found going to a website address straight forward enough. Speed and technical infrastructure of this platform keeps me an avid user.
Vorteile
I love the easy way you can initiate support with a client, just by pointing the to the simple www.fastsupport.com website. Nothing more they need to do and you can be, screen sharing, full control or even file sharing for troubleshooting and remote desktop. There is even an unattended support and the ability to run multiple instances simultaneously form a technician perspective. I have always used this infrastructure and as a customer focused business, this is professional and great value.
Nachteile
There are many competing products, so some clients don't like to have multiple remote desktop software installed for their personal needs, then their professional outsourcing. The only thing this is missing is some form of VoIP in the basic plans.

Good for limited use by an office administrator but not for large scale clients
Remote access to our company devices
Vorteile
Has good features for connecting to users, enev when they are not on their computer. Allows for multiple administrators under the same client group. Allows for client information customization so you can better identify remote devices. Works on mobile well.
Nachteile
Because it relys on the internet if speeds are slow it can have issues connecting. The client can uninstall the remote agent without permission making it difficult to manage remote devices. Organization of clients can make it hard to find the right computer if you manage many devices.

Training, Support, and the feel of sitting next to someone
Getting people with no internet or very low internet experience can be stressful. It is very simple though, 1 click to join. You just have to have your way with words!
Vorteile
This software made it feel like i was sitting with my client or my coworker, working right there with them.It may even be easier to train someone on computers on here rather than in person.
Nachteile
The element of being in person with someone can be helpful for certain people. If this is you, then this product may not be that beneficial. I think anyone can learn from this program or the other end user.

Ease of use to assist my clients remotely throughout the country.
Vorteile
I used this software for years and have seen it through many different variations but it definitely remains my favourite. Its ease of use and complex features are made functional and fun to use.
Nachteile
It is a little on the pricey side but that is understandable considering all the benefits that it offers.

Effective remote assistance with GoToAssist. Its internal engine to establish the connection is fantastic. Nothing to envy the market leaders. It is based on the ability of your equipment to operate and the optimal stability of the network. It is powerful when all conditions are met without problem.

It does not obtain information about the equipment where it operates or connects. It only communicates through the operating system and remains limited.

GoToAssist - Great Solution for Supporting Virtual Students and Teachers
We used this for supporting virtual students and teachers during COVID. We still use this for home support for teachers or staff who are at home for quarantine or other reasons.
Vorteile
We love the simplicity of GoToAssist. It's easy to generate session keys and get them to users. The experience during the remote session has always been smooth and simple.
Nachteile
GoToAssist is working as it's supposed to. We generate links and email them to our staff/faculty/parents we are supporting. It works most of the time, but due to the differences in home computers, sometimes it takes a few tries for the user to get it working and allow us to get in.

Best Ad-Hoc Support Setup
On a regular basis I come across weird devices that just won't allow my remote access tools to work, or technophobe clients who just can't seem to install a piece of software. This makes it easy in both of those cases.
Vorteile
It works when other remote support tools fail, either due to compatibility issues or just the difficulty of guiding a client through setup of remote access over the phone. RescueAssist is easy to get working.
Nachteile
If you need unattended access, this isn't the best tool for the job. There are other solutions that do a better job.

GoToAssist
Honestly, there are too many free options of this type of software out there to pay for this type of software without some game changing features, and they just don't exist here.
Vorteile
As advertised, it allows us to see and take control of our users' machines remotely. Brand labeled website for users to ask for assistance (from our internal team).
Nachteile
Stupid password restrictions that need to be dealt with immediately or you'll be frustrated as your password expires on you non-stop. It has issues if the person you're connecting to doesn't have a pretty good connection speed. There are times when it will randomly take away my ability to click on anything, and I'll be forced to just talk the user through the clicks.

Fantastic IT resource for companies without an IT professional/department
Vorteile
We use an external IT support company which uses GoToAssist. If we ever run into an issue, they are able to quickly connect to any of our computers and troubleshoot the problem, whether the computer is attended on our side or not. We can also track all connections to ensure that connections are only being made when needed.
Nachteile
Connection times can be slow. We can see the support team trying to establish a connection, however it appears to be a latency issue on occasion. It's not clear if this is a connection issue (on either side) or a software bug.

Great software for Technicians
Always changes the look how the functionality stays the same. Always reliable, always connected. Very easy to use especially for end users to start session.

Great way to remote to another workstation

Using GoTo has made things much easier
Does exactly what it's designed to do.
Vorteile
I like the easy access, and the ability to link in my team without a huge amount of headache. GoTo has done a great job of streamlining the process and keeping it simple enough for everyone to learn it quickly.
Nachteile
Not the fastest program, and we've had some issues with login and some issues with dropped connections. Not frequent, but often enough that its worth mentioning.

Awesome way to remote desktop
Vorteile
Used for IT mostly, and some meetings. The interface is great, and the warning popup helps know what's going on. The built in the chat window is fantastic.
Nachteile
Had it set to open on startup, and has crashed the machine a few times, but I believe that was due to the age of my computer at the time. I've also had it give me pop-up notifications that were annoying.

Great for remote IT support
Vorteile
Our team is located all over the province, and our IT team member works from home in a different city. GoToAssist allows us to remotely connect to screenshare and setup remote support sessions when I run into an issue.
Nachteile
I sometimes just pick up the phone and call him while we're in a support session as the audio quality can be choppy occasionally.

A great tool to allow remote teoubleshooting or updates to remote devices.
Vorteile
Works great for IT management of field technician devices. Download is quick and painless, then everything just works.
Nachteile
The link initially takes the "slave side" to a download page but the part where you hve to download a file isn't as obvious as I think it should be.

GoToAssist is a fantastic IT resource for our team
Vorteile
Our IT department has raved about GoToAssist since deploying it at our company. The price per month is very valuable when we don't need a lot of licenses/concurrent connections. Citrix's customer support is fantastic as well.
Nachteile
The connection has dropped several teams when I've been receiving support from our IT team, though that could be due to our internet connection as much as a software issue.

Very easy to use and reasonably priced for low volume users.

It was extremely east to learn the ins and outs of GoToAssist. I am relatively computer savvy but I think even novice users could handle this with relative ease. The user interface is very intuitive and the pricing for the volume users is reasonable.

We have occasionally run into issues getting things synced up between users with some crashing of the interface from time to time.

Easy to get help when I need it.

If I have an issue with my computer, our IT contractor can remotely connect in and solve the problem effortlessly with no restriction on system admin access.

GoTo Assist has definitely helped our employees when we need login information or need help installing or using new software.
Nachteile
The customer support (for the customer support) could be improved. Sometimes the software itself doesn't load or needs updates. But, it works very well about 95% of the time.
