Planning Center - Easy for Church use!
We love Planning Center - easy to use, app accessible, etc.
Vorteile
We use this exclusively for online planning for weekly services. It is GREAT once you cycle through an entire year (Christmas, Easter, special Sunday's, etc) are already set up and you can simply make a few simple changes. I love that users can block themselves off so the cannot be scheudled to particpate - singers, sound board, etc.
Nachteile
You can't feed the calendar directly to your online calendar.

Planning Center is helpful for scheduling people for church service ministries.
Vorteile
I like the ease of selecting members of my team and sending them invitational emails using the app to sign up for a certain church service.
Nachteile
Sometimes future services will disappear from the home page of the app, and I have a hard time finding them.

Good as a user
Vorteile
Easy to respond to requests for service; just click a button in your email. A lot of less sophisticated services would require sign in or something like that.

I don't have any particular concerns; it's not the most attractively designed thing, but that doesn't really matter.

I would use PCO for everything!
Vorteile
The ease of use is outstanding, the intuitive design is super helpful, and the mobile access is what really sold me!
Nachteile
While I just use their Music software right now, I'd love to use the others. The price can add up quite a bit though.

Everything Plus the Kitchen Sink
Too many features for me to understand

Planning Center is an a well thought out software platform that can be accessed through just about any computer or ios, android device. It is designed, I believe with a large church in mind. Many smaller churches would not neccessarily need the abundance of features planning center offers. For me, it was overbearing to use. However, many worship leaders I know swear by it.
Nachteile
Complicated for non-techies. There is a very large process to get this system implemented, but once you achieve this, it works great.

Managing Volunteers with Ease
I have been a Planning Center user for a few years now and I am so happy to share about this product/service. Managing volunteers is a difficult task for any leader, but Planning Center provides the tools necessary to manage teams of volunteers quickly and easily.
Vorteile
Communication with volunteers and staff is excellent. Scheduling requests can be sent in batches which saves so much time and it makes planning ahead so much easier.
Nachteile
The mobile app for iphone has been known to have a bug here and there, but this is such a minor issue to run into when it does happen.

Requires a simplified layout

The Planning Center software is great for making everyone on the team aware of the times and places specific events within the general event happen.
Nachteile
The Planning Center software requires a simplified layout for users who are part of the event, but should not have editing permissions akin to an administrator's. The Planning Center software should not require everyone to create an account because many users only want to download / view the basic run-down of events or some other very specific doc.

Planning Center made my job easier!
It has shortened my time to set up and made my job easier overall.
Vorteile
My favorite tool in PC is using the rehearse option with the demo and track versions as well as the PDFs of the music to ensure I am using the correct versions and sequence.
Nachteile
We use ProPresenter 6 for service presentation and there are a lot of glitches when using the Planning Center Playlists in PP6. It will not allow me to add any PP6 service order to the PC playlist so I'm having to use 2 different playlists to get through a service.

Planning center does it all!

I have used planning center as a member of a worship team, and it has been GREAT! It is a wonderful way to stay organized, prepared and have all of the resources for the service in one place. It is also a great way for churches to go green!

There were so many options, functions, and ways to use this to benefit all ministries in our church. It has everything!
Nachteile
I was overwhelmed because it seemed that it could almost do too much. I didn't know where to start. I will be using the events portion but I'm not settled on using the rest of it cause I think it might overwhelm the congregation.

Planning center review
Overall I like Planning Center, I work at the daycare center which is part of the Church, so we share our calendar in Planning center, that way we use exactly what kind of events church is doing and how the parking lot will be looking like (if we need to reverse parking for our parents who come pick up the kids)
Vorteile
I like it how easy to use, very strict forward and can add details if needs to.
Nachteile
I wish the outlook can be very fun looking, it is little boring to look at the calendar without able to create any fun background.

Great Software for Church Service Logistics
Excellent. A great tool for planning out services and informing volunteers what roles they would fill.
Vorteile
Ability to load tracks for the musicians to listen and practice with. Clearly see who will facilitate roles at any given service or Sunday.
Nachteile
Sometimes crashes at times and media player for song tracks will die out. Only happens once in awhile.

Overall, I like this software and I think I would recommend it to my colleagues.

Best I've ever used....
I was surprised to find this so low on the list, maybe this is an older post? However I would rank this for sure in the top 5 currently in 2015. Recently they've expanded it's capability to even be able to use it's planning abilities for more than just worship and group ministries, but also events. Can't say enough of how great this service is, they have a great tool called Music Stand which we use every Sunday for live worship, which works seamlessly and flows with CCLI's charted music and much more. Just give it a try, I'm confident you won't regret it. God bless and praise the name above all names JESUS CHRIST YESHUA!!!!

Fits our needs well!
We've used Planning Center for the past five or so years, and have been impressed with their commitment to keeping the product up to date. New improvements are consistently rolled out and the communication around each release has been excellent. Online help is valuable and readily available. Meets most of our planning needs across all our church environments.

We've used planning center for years, with teens to senior citizens all capable of effectively utilizing it with us - big win that saves tons of time.

So helpful!
Vorteile
Planning center has helped us tremendously with service flow. Before, we were creating our own documents and they were getting bulky and confusing. This one makes it so simple to design service elements, add in times, delegate to the right people, and even add in links. The printed version looks stellar, and we love that the team can access it from their phones as well.

No complaints about planning center. It has been great.

Planning Center is an awesome tool!
I am booked as a worship leader through planning center frequently, and I am so pleased with how easy it is to use. When the church on the other end is inputting all the needed info, it's an excellent resource!

The Organized Person's Dream
Vorteile
Everything is in one place, need I say more? Okay, I will anyway. I can plan services, keep my volunteers organized, communicate with them and I have check-ins ALL IN ONE PLACE. Phenomenal.
Nachteile
The extras that cost so much "extra"... As a small church it's more cost effective for us to find other vendors for them.

Services App is possible the best church service rostering system going around. Our people picked it up easily and it just works.

Great for organizing groups
I use this with my church music team. It is an easy way to see who is on the schedule and view all of the music set for the week. It's also an easy way to find contact information for other band members. The app is also very easy to use. I like how it sends notifications to my phone when I've been added to the schedule.

God Send for Planning all aspects of a church service.
Vorteile
I love getting everything under one roof. Everything from projection slides, to sheet music, team members and schedules, it have brought peace of mind for this over-planner.
Nachteile
Mobile app for team members can be a little glitchy and gets service dates mixed up some times. However this latest update seemed to have cleared up most of my complaints.

I found Planning Center to be an efficient way to communicate for people with varying...
Simple scheduling, coordinating meetings, and communication with a team of people.
Vorteile
I like the simple communication tools, such as email when there was a meeting I needed to attend. I could accept or decline, block out my schedule, or offer feedback to the sender.
Nachteile
There were a few times it was hard to navigate if I wasn't an administrator. I also wish I could just reply to the email instead of having to sign in to Planning Center.

Planning Made Easy
Vorteile
I like the way it categorizes teams - that when I go in to schedule that there is an option for "just my teams" and also "all teams". There are also youtube tutorials to help you!!
Nachteile
It took me a long time to realize when I scheduled someone - that emails were not being sent automatically and I had to go in and manually send them. Once that was resolved, all was great!

The BEST Church Management Software today... and it's not even close!
We've used just about every other major church management software and PCO is far and away the best solution available today. It is cleaner, easier to use, more structurally sound, and meets the needs of virtually any church function.
Pros: Beautiful integration between products. People, to scheduling, to giving, to Groups... all amazing individually... insane together.
Cons: More API integration would be great and I know it's being built out. Groups & Registration mobile apps not yet launched.

Planning Center Review
Vorteile
It makes it easy to sign up for activities and allows more schedule control from my end of things. The coordinator of the events we're running doesn't have to reach out to us all individually and the app makes things so quick.
Nachteile
I don't have a lot of complaints, but this could be because I don't use it on a daily basis - just when I'm participating in the events we're scheduling.

Love Planning Center, but needs a few more features
Our church has been using Planning Center Online (Services) for a long time now, but we recently made it our main Chms. We have really enjoyed it and we love that their team is constantly putting out new features. That being said, the giving side is still lacking things like Capital Campaign management and their web page that you use to sign in to give and look at groups is very plain graphically. It would be nice to be able to embed those things right into our own website.
