I recall using this back in 6th grade many years ago and with little to no instruction the teacher had us creating presentations to have graded. I've used this at multiple corporations developing presentations to display call metrics over, it really changes what would be a page by page display into something more interactive by allowing you to use/make live animations/graphs to display growth. We've used this for award ceremonies to put animated slides in with videos and sound, making these ceremonies fun and interactive for the crowd of employees, vs. the usual reading of the winners and presenting awards.

While it is easy to learn, it takes some time getting used to building slides efficiently. The last use I made of this took an extensive amount of time, I'm uncertain if there's really a way to remedy this, maybe better templating, or template suggestions based upon the use.

I am lucky enough to have a good quality projector and sound system in my classroom so I feel like I can get a lot of use from PowerPoint. I actually really enjoy using it for making posters and printed resources as it is far more responsive than Word or Publisher. The best part is the option to import a video and trim it WITHIN PowerPoint, as this saves a lot of time if I had to download another program and edit it.

Very user friendly. Plenty of "extras" if you want to dive into more. I have used the slides and "Rehearse Animation Timings" to create YouTube videos (songs with guitar/ukulele chords that need to change in time with the music). I rehearse the timings, then export as a video, and upload to YouTube. The definition is good, and the sound quality is good.

I wish after rehearsing animations I could see a timeline if each individual event and edit them individually to really get it perfect.

One of the things that I do not like about this great program is that if you do not keep the program updated with the latest versions you will not enjoy these new features.

For example: it is not the same to make a presentation with Power Point of 2002, than with a version of 2013.

I first learned how to use PowerPoint when I was in 5th grade, still in elementary school. As an elementary school student, I was able to quickly understand how to use PowerPoint. It's really simple and straightforward. I like that there are a lot of features. As a child, I use to play around with the background templates and colors. I also like that you can add videos and sounds to each project. I still use PowerPoint constantly, and I'm sure I will not stop using it anytime soon.

I don't have anything to say that is negative for this software. However since our PowerPoint is powered by our Office 365 subscription the only thing I don't like is sometimes, it makes it hard for me to log in every now and then my user credentials when I open my PowerPoint account to a different device.

Software depends on what version you created it with, so if you want to use another computer that has a version lower than yours it might display differently.
The software do require some basic computing skills which makes it a bit harder for those without such skills.

Even I hadn't known anything before, I didn't have to spend a long course to learn how to use it. Honestly, I can't think of anything I dislike about this software. I guess if I had to pick something, I would like it to allow my slides to be landscape or portrait individually. For instance i would want slide 1 to be portrait and slide 2 to be landscape, so far I have not found a way to do that.
