We use Confluence for all things project management in order to make sure that everyone is on the same page. It's a great tool to keep everyone on track and aware of upcoming deadlines and any issues that arise during the PM process.

Best way to manage documentation

Confluence is overall really good for any team size to manage their product features and requirements.

Web 2.0 friendly documentation

Confluence has a learning curve if you're looking to build Web 2.0 friendly documentation. However, the customer service and product documentation make it easy to get onboard quickly. Love the integration with the JIRA product.

Creating, organising a team is amazing with this

I and my team had used Confluence to try and launch a product, but our product launch failed due to certain problems but still the software was of great use

Great product!

This wiki is very useful to our company and users. I feel like this product can get unwieldy pretty quickly, though I'm not sure how that could be improved by Atlassian while still allowing the variety and quantity of entries needed. Another thing I notice is the emails sent to users about updates to our confluence pages come to mac users formated poorly - I'm not sure if that's Confluence/Atlassian or our email system, but thought I'd let you know while I'm at this :)

Awesome product

I have been in to project management from last 5 years and to be very honest confluence has made my life very easy. It helps me to collaborate with my team and getting their wonderful ideas. Its feedback mechanism helps me to review the documents and finalise them as and when I receive them. Next big thing it has done to bring JIRA with in the same platform. Now I can switch between my JIRA tasks and my documentation task very easily. Its just wonderful experience.

A decent full featured team collaboration site. When integrated with bitbucket and Jira, this is a fine option for managing your team. However, IMHO, not as full featured or nicely integrated as Visual Studio Online

The scoop on confluence

Great software, easy interface, great for website use, really gave me helpful information to help author platforms. I didn't need to install any downloads or software, confluence was great because it works with your web browser, you just need a personal account. The customization part was easy, works great with Apache HTTP. Confluence helped keep track of everything my company needed, and worked well with any type of program and document my company had.

Confluence helps keep us connected

We generally use Confluence to help us document processes on our team, and it's been a huge help. It's easy to collaborate and while some features aren't always intuitive and searching leaves much to be desired, overall it's been a huge help we lean on quite a bit for communicating information. On a remote team where most people aren't in the same time zone, that's a necessity.

Confluence: Our Ultimate Wiki!

Confluence is the ultimate wiki tool for your company to use internally. It is super easy to use/edit content and very easy for a user to look up any information you are looking for. It is a great tool for everyone in the company to collaborate, and share information. Documentation is important for any growing company, and Confluence definitely does a good job of this.

After using the tool for a few months I must say I'm impressed, the Online Diagram Software integration and the Jira integration make this software a joy to use.
I recommend it for every development team, if you are using Jira as well and you are working in a way that requires a lot of documents like us, then I think it is a no-brainer.

I Love Versioning

I cannot tell you how valuable versioning is. With each page update we can go back and find notes about why changes were made months ago and understand our thinking. This cuts down on the need for countless word documents just piling up in a folder.
Being able to share assets across the site and tie them into JIRA is great too.

Easy to learn, but not very flexible

I built several Spaces using this software for a large company, and it was easy to learn without consulting any videos or how-to guides. The template structure that was available was not very flexible, and the design options are not very customizable (although you can choose lots of different colors for your themes).

Awsome product i have seen

You guys are rocking, what a wonderful product you have designed, i like all its features that i use ranging from the linking to Jira to creating customizable reports at the end of the week. Document management is a great feature embedded. also the tracking of the activity is so easy that it takes all at its own.

Works great to communicate within my company

I recently got handed a confluence space to work on. It was pretty easy to get started. The anchor tags is funky I have to add an extra "#" in front. But overall it was easy to learn and they have help articles that are pretty helpful.

Wikify your work

I was new to wikis at work as of 6 years ago and Confluence made it easy to dive right in, with each upgrade my company has done. Confluence has seemed to become even easier to document workflows, to organize processes and even use as customer support tool. I would not choose any other wiki to use.
