Vorteile

Can create as simple of complex a survey as I need. I like the reusable pieces, the range of question types and options for controlling them. The user interface is clear, and much improved over th eyears.

Nachteile

Analysis and reporting could do with some improvement, but I'll admit I'm not using the latest version yet. It's not simpel to use, but them nothing that allows for complexity is.

Free to start, a lot of control, can set it up in our environment (as opposed to SaaS), programming is fairly easy.

Nachteile

Still somewhat buggy and not as full-featured as it needs to be to be useful for long-term or complex projects.

I was new to survey software so LimeSurvey was a good adventure and experience. I downloaded and printed the manual and worked my way through it. Great flexibility of options for questions and formats, easy to launch and manage and easy to generate useful reports or data in spreadsheet format. Many of my graduate students subsequently used LimeSurvey for their research and it was easy to direct them and have them manage their own surveys.

Nachteile

Some question formats were counter-intuitive and took time to conquer. Using tokens for surveys was challenging to learn. All was solved eventually.

Vorteile

I like that is free and easy to use. It has a format that is similar to common online review sites that people are familiar with. It gives a robust set of polls and fillin options.

Nachteile

The administrative panel and review results could be better designed and easier to read. A clearer one-page summary of the results would be helpful.

Vorteile

Functions of stats is most promising and especially the downloading of file in xls format is awesome.

Nachteile

Too much functions , sometimes I get confused. Especially conditional functions

Vorteile

1. Best solution for taking online surveys.

2. The application is platform independent and well supported by Linux and Windows platforms.

3. Unlimited number of surveys with unlimited number of participants is possible in premium versions.

4. You can add images, text, even videos for taking surveys.

5. Upgrades are released frequently.

Nachteile

1. Need some patience to setup the survey.

2. Two versions are there for lime survey, Lime Survey Pro and Lime Survey CE , need to make payment for accessing the premium features.

Vorteile

Fairly easy to set up surveys and has lot of different features available. Easy to get results and pull reports.

Nachteile

After a survey is live, you can't make any changes without turning it offline.

Vorteile

Ease of use, creating logic and adding questions have been a breeze. Lime Survey is a great tool to use.

Nachteile

Sometimes it gets complex when trying to add an equation with logic. Need a lot of research to find answers.
