I used it long ago and really liked it and then recently I started to use it again for a new position and so far I am happy with the Customer Service but not happy with the new version as the transition has been a bit difficult.

Nachteile

The data doesn’t transfer well and the procedures for doing operations is harder. There seems to be a lot of bugs in the online version.

Very intelligently designed, nice and visually stunning, like the bank spendings that are updated all the time.

I wish they would have power to see address of my business destination, so I would see stops for food and gas on the way to my main address.

Quickbooks has great functionality. It really can do just about anything you need it to. You can run very specific reports down to exactly what you want to see. It is multi-faceted and relatively easy to navigate.

Nachteile

I find that the software is a bit laggy. This could be an issue with my computer but I doubt that. I have been having a very difficult time trying to link my merchant account with my Quickbooks account. I was on the phone with support for 3 hours in one day to try and figure out the issue. Additionally, I find that it can be difficult to navigate. Some things that may seem logical are often times not in QB.

I'm an IT guy, not an accountant! Quick books takes the "accounting" out of the process by user-friendly navigation yet sophisticated enough to send my CPA the information he needs to do my accounting. I especially like the integration to bank accounts, both personal and professional, to make coding expenditures easy.

Nachteile

While certain changes in business processes or inevitable, they are subtle with minimum impact using Quickbooks. I don't find anything I like least. This is a very good product.

It's icon driven and very clickable. It's straight forward and I like that I can just save the files and send them directly to my accountant.

Some things are a little long winded. I often time have a hard time syncing it with some of my other software that I use. They are supposed to work together, but I can't seem to get them to work together seamlessly...there always seems to be some hiccups.

It is easy to use and learn. The customer support is good. I am using QB Enterprise and get good service and help with questions. I also run payroll through our QB software and have been happy with that.

I can't really think of anything. I wish that on their calendar drop down you could access the month before and after, so a full 5 week calendar.

I enjoyed the look of the invoices we sent out and the ability for our customer to pay via ACH when they were sent. I liked that Quickbooks was able to sync with our cloud-based project management software.

I disliked that it was hard to fix mistakes after they were made. Meaning, voiding invoices was not easy.

I like that it does all the math for you on invoices. And saves all of the customer information. No need to have massive filing cabinets.

It would be great if it stored individual prices for each customer file. Wish you could mark as paid right from the invoice instead of having to navigate through menus. There are a lot of things that could be fixed to make this program better.

Every business should have QuickBooks for managing the cash flow that gets in and out of the company. It is an online accounting tool that helps the business owner to track the finances in his business even when he is not around. It stores the data in cloud for easy tracking.

For a small business QuickBooks is almost required. Plenty of features, online access to almost all banks, Accountants will all accept QuickBook files.

Intuit will make your version obsolete by discontinuing account access after 2 years forcing you to upgrade or go to a subscription service. Still occasionally crashes.

The software is awesome and relatively easy to use compared to other softwares. I have a small business and decided to use Quickbooks. The program is great for retail.

I have had some slight bug issues with the program. The biggest problem I faced was when I called customer service. The person I was talking to could not help me with a specific problem so I ended up researching it online and found how to solve it.

The list of features seems to be endless. There are so many it's most likely I'll never have time to learn them all. It definitely gets the job done but, for me, seems to have a steep learning curve.

Sales Tax - you cannot classify items as taxable by state. Some items are taxable in one state, but not another. QB only has taxable or non-taxable, and if it differs you change it manually. Far too labor intensive. There are add-ons to help, but that's useless if tying in with 3rd party mobile billing apps.

Also, the unit of measure feature is clunky - buy in cases of 24 units, sell by each...you can't save a default by product

I love that it automatically tracks my drives and I can easily categorize them. I do deliveries/ridesharing as a side income and this has been an invaluable tool in allowing me to easily itemize my deductions. When you do contract work this is crucial to getting your maximum refund or ensuring you pay as little as necessary. This program makes it nearly effortless.

Nachteile

I use the iPhone version and I have an iPhone X, my biggest complaint is that it is by far the slowest loading app I have.

I really wish it had a system of scanning and storing receipts.

We always say Quickboooks is "idiot proof". I'm a trained school teacher. I'm not an accountant but I have no problems running the office of a small (30 employees) residential commercial HVAC and plumbing business.

I feel that it isn't always easy to get the answers I'm looking for when searching "help". I sometimes need to talk to a human and those numbers take a little searching to find.

Inability to create subscriptions. Not super intuitive - definitely had to take a tutorial, and still don't really trust that I'm doing everything right.

Not much perhaps because I'm the only one user and my business is small, therefore not much of unpleasant experience I encounter but sometimes, when I retrieved the transaction history, it can be delay.

Quickbooks is so easy to use. I went from absolute fear and overwhelm to joy. Now I look forward to doing my books and categorizing all my sales and expenses. Super easy for tax time too - just send a P and L file over to the tax preparer and voila...taxes are done!

I like the ease of going from Premier to Enterprise, most all transactions are the same.

There are a few things that we do not like:
1. The Advanced Reporting has not worked for us since we switched in Sept 2016 and they do not know when it will be fixed.
2. If at one time you turned multiple currencies on you cannot us Insights, even if you have not used multiple currencies in years.
3. When giving a credit to a customer you do not have an option to give the credit against sales but have to give it for the item and then it is placed back into new inventory and when you adjust it in Adjust Quantity/Value on Hand your inventory asset account gets thrown off.
4. Not a simpler way to give discounts when receiving payments.
5. Building assemblies is not as easy as they tell you even after watching the videos.

Data entry for bookkeepers once accounts are set up is easy. Detailed entry of sub-accounts for any payments. Bank statement reconciliation straight forward - we do it manually for the business and do not download transactions.
Easy to bundle a copy of the books for the business to send to the accountant for quarterly or year-end tax review.

Nachteile

We use a small subset of the features - our payroll is outsourced. Without some accounting background, understanding accounts versus 'bank accounts'/assets can be confusing, and how to journal-entry. GOOD training on the Software would alleviate the complexity for any user.

Customer Service can be a little frustrating. On several occasions, QuickBooks representatives were willing to email a vague article on how to troubleshoot issues on my own with little guidance. Now that we purchased the additional technical support package, the representatives have been much more helpful.

There is a wide variety of ways to use the software and it is pretty ubiquitous. The phone tech support has always been pretty good. They also donate copies for non profits to obtain at a reasonable price otherwise there would be no way we could afford it.

The search functions do not seem to work very effectively. There are times I need to find a particular transaction and it seems like the search should produce results but it doesn't
