I like the ability create, edit, modify, or convert many different file types. Especially helpful is the ability to convert scanned PDF files to Excel spreadsheets.

Nachteile

I sometimes cannot get the print to PDF function to work. When I go to print a document, it shows up in my list of printers as Able2Extract Professional Printer, however when I select it and print, nothing happens.

Great software! Does what it promises to do without any drama... even for a non-technical person.

It's simply really good software that works consistently with minimal effort and technical knowledge!

It's just so very easy to use. In less than a minute, I can open up one of our PDF reports, select all, click the Excel button and have the figures I need to work with in a spreadsheet. Character recognition is accurate, and it converts quickly.

Nachteile

Sometimes header rows and off-center items can confuse the columns breaks a little bit, and you end up with things that are split, or in the wrong column.

The program is simple to use and it has a high accuracy functionality. This saves time as the documents are a great replication of the original but the opportunity to edit and even repurpose the original documents is there. When needing such functionality the program has proved to be robust and simple to work with.

Able2 Extract does not interfere with you as a user but their team is available and responsive to my needs and or questions. The program development is not static and it is regularly updated whilst maintaining the "look". This diminishes the down time to learn the program at every stage of development. It is compatible with Microsoft.

Perhaps some trainings on the less known parts of the program?

Been using this software since version 11 and has been critical in my work to convert a PDF into an Excel table for use with my software.

New version takes some time to get use to. In older version was able to designate pages to convert, but cannot in this newest version.

program is hard to read on high resolution displays. So it is ok on a 1920x1080 display , but on a 4k display you need good eyes

This software is an excellent tool for extracting schedules from plans. I especially like that it will convert it directly to an Excel spreadsheet and maintain the majority of the formatting.

My version works well for me but it's hard to maintain because it keeps getting upgraded. I like the version I have and want to be able to move it from computer to computer as I replace my computer but after a few years I have to contact customer support to get my version as the download is no longer available. I would like to have a CD or something so I could continually download the version I originally purchased whenever I get a new computer.

The only feature I have used so far is turning a PDF into an excel file. I use it weekly and it saves so much time in my day to day operation.

The UI is antiquated and reminiscent of 1990s software freeware. I had an immediate negative reaction to the software when it loaded and spent time looking for a better software because I assumed this software couldn't compare against more modern options.

This software is very able to use and for the vast majority of the time, the simple automatic settings work flawlessly. For those other times, the simple interface lets you tweak the settings.

Version 12 changed the extract to Excel algorithm which added a empty column to one of my financial reports. It didn't change the report other than to have an empty column that must be deleted before I can copy and paste into my financial model. This is not a big deal, just the only con I can think of.

This is easy to install, use, and it gets the job done. We use it to convert PDFs to useable word and excel documents we receive from clients.

The formatting can be wonky after the conversion is done, and it takes some fiddling with the settings to get it right.

Better than other similar products I've tried in accurately converting PDFs to Word or Excel. When I've had questions, staff have ALWAYS resolved my issues promptly and professionally, and even converted difficult docs for me!

This program is awesome. Apart from being able to convert a pdf into an excell sheet, or so many other file format conversions, I recently discovered, you can tak a pdf that does not offer searchable text, or is basically an image that has text in it, and convert it to a complete text file. Making it able to copy and paste, search and much more functionality

I dont really have anything bad to say about this program. The only thing they do a lot of updates and that requires an upgrade, granted at a discounted rate, but honestly the last version works so well, I dont always upgrade as there is no need.

Very easy to use. Generally 99% to 100% accurate with conversions to Microsoft Office products. Version 12 is the most accurate regarding conversion - that said prior versions were very good as well. Editing PDF's is easy as well. Can't wait for the next version!

Occasionally when converting a PDF document and doing a specific selection of the document the conversion does the whole page or additional areas I did not select. I've notice with Version 12 this happens much less.

Originally I was tasked with transcribing a 500+ page document that had been photocopied more than 10 years ago. After converting each page to a pdf, I was able to create and merge a fully accurate, well formatted Word document for further editing. Using Able2Extract Professional cut a month's long task to a couple of days. I have since used the software to create and merge other Excel and Word documents with high success.

Nachteile

Some diacritical marks did not convert directly, off-square documents presented some conversion problems, but all were much more easily corrected than having to start transcribing from scratch.

I really like the ability to convert rom a pdf into Excel and keep nearly all the formatting of the original. There are only a very small number of pccasions when the conversion is less than 100% perfect. It is so much more effective than other conversion software I have used.

I like the software for its ease of use. The interface is simple and straightforward. As a person who gets a lot of PDF reports that need to be analysed, Able2Extract allowed me the get the data into Excel sheets.

Some PDF files do not convert to Excel cleanly. Information from two columns are entered in one cell. I then have to correct the data manually. It is not often enough to make me look for something else but can be irksome when I am in a hurry.

Clients may not be able to create extracts from critical database tables, but often they can generate PDFs in tabular format containing the details. This is a must-have tool for anyone who must capture data from a variety of sources and in many formats and condense/combine the details into analysis software.
