Vorteile

The dashboard is quick and easy to use. You can categorize time wasters versus business sites and software.

Nachteile

Not many cons. I wish historical data per user was more simplified. If a manager said I want to see employee X data for two weeks, that we could do that easy.

Vorteile

They offer a trial plan to try the product before committing to a plan. The overall features are pretty good, since we started to work with Activtrak, productivity in the team as increased in a substantial way.

Nachteile

Nothing, I found the screenshot features quite good for our needs. I am satisfied with the product

Reporting is fantastic, it tells you the hours on productive and non-productive. You also can self-allocate productive and non-productive items showing in the report.

Nachteile

The photos taken used up the space, I am hoping it has automate email functions embedded to the system and send to administrator / managers.

Out of the 5 times I contacted customer support, there was only one time that took longer than usual for them to respond. Other than that, everything was just dandy.

They allow you to use the software for free on a few different computers to see if you want it before deciding to buy it outright.

It didnt collect as much data as i would have liked, and it couldnt store the data as long as i would have liked.

The installation process was quick and easy. Classifying which applications and websites are considered productive or unproductive is quick and easy.

Nachteile

The web based admin application could use a little TLC on the UI/UX side of things. But other than that, not much needs improvement.

some of the features were easy to use, didnt show up in add/remove programs or any signs of it being installed.

Absolutely the worst customer service of my life. Forced us to pay for software that was never usable and the attitude from the account rep was snide, they offered no help nor did they offer to help find the value on the product. I would suggest looking anywhere else for a better product/support.

ActivTrak is very good at what it does. Really like that only the administrator can uninstall it. Good value at good price.

Nachteile

The initial installation and configuration process is too long and causes trouble with some of our staff.

ActivTrak is very simple to use. It is easy to install and does the job of monitoring productivity effectively. I like the screen shot feature and the ability to easily identify productive versus unproductive sites. ActivTrak also offers a plan for every pocketbook. It is well worth the money to ensure that employees are doing their jobs.

There is nothing not to like about ActivTrak. It does everything I need it to do.

The free version runs quickly out of storage. Other than that nothing to add.

Did a trial run with this software - It turned out to be good for whatever time I used it.

*The software has a simple and informative user interface.
*It is easy to install on admin & host computer
*It enables the activity monitoring over employees whose system the remote software is installed upon.
*Admin gets statistics based on different criteria as per their preference
*Admin can populate reports for review and feedback

Nachteile

The software setup could not be shared with host computers via Skype, Gmail or any other medium. I also experienced trouble while installing it in host computers, due to firewall and antivirus. Other than that it worked pretty well!

Vorteile

It is good for monitoring employee behaviors and ensuring they stay on task in the office. It is customizable to certain parameters such as timing and tab/window changes.

Nachteile

I was looking for a program that could monitor keystrokes when I tried ActivTrak. Unfortunately in this area, the program did not deliver. It was also difficult to fix a typo in the registered email the first time I signed up, so I had to register again and reinstall on the devices. It was frustrating that I lost all screenshots after a certain timeframe.

It helped us to uncover hidden productivity bad habits that we may not be aware of and then to optimize out team work and organization.

Nachteile

It would be great if there is more customization options such as to customize the application names.

ActivTrak is the most useful capturing software for Windows and Mac.
I enjoy using in my team and it is working well.

Nachteile

I think there needs to be an option to set frequency to capture screen and also it doesn't capture when user doesn't do anything.

I have been able to quantify my productivity at a glance and has the result is an increase in my output.

Linking multiple devices counting as one user. I also would like to be able to map multiple programs as one ie: visual studio code runs as a different name on a mac and pc.

The screenshot feature is wonderfull. The way its installed, completely undetected. Ease of use. The new interface is perfect when browsing screenshots.

I found the setup instructions could have used better written materials. This was not a major issue, as the interface was fairly intuitive and easy to work with.

We were able to keep an eye on an employee's activities when we suspected a dip in productivity was as a result of wasted time during the workday. It helped us to verify how they were allocating their time and that most of the time was spent web-surfing.

Nachteile

Nothing. It is a good product suited to a specific need.

Great picture of what your employees are doing with their time and no computer slow down. Reports are easy to run and can handle multiple screens at once.

Will not work with certain security products installed on the machines. Overall very positive experience but we are struggling to use now with McAfee.

The ability to assign categories/productivity settings to each activity and even add new categories as needed is very welcome. There are also many different presentations of the data captured, with different point emphasized. Tracking a user across multiple machines is also crucial in a flexible team-oriented environment.

Nachteile

With all the options, it can get a little confusing navigating the web interface. Would love to see the OS coverage to include Linux (beyond just the Chrome plugin).

The interface can be a bit of a maze. Multiple ways of getting to the same page and at the same time sometimes hard to get back to where you have been before. Not always intuitive. Once you have been using it for a while and the data set is larger queries can take some time to return results.

Logging is excellent, screen shots are great to verify the logs. Reports are great and easily exportable to CSV.

Nachteile

Classification system gets a lot to setup. Can take a long time to setup all of the different categories for productive and unproductive time.

They way it's agents work, securely and without any interruptions. It works anonymously on agent nodes.

Level of control through agents. They should have features like preventing uninstall of agents, task scheduling, etc

I don't like the fact that I have to organize many applications/websites to either productive/unproductive category.

Ease of use. It is super simple to install the client and begin tracking websites and program use. The reports are very well organized and easy to read. Being able to export them into Excel makes it super easy to do my weekly reporting to the CEO of the company.

Nachteile

That I am not able to mark things as productive or unproductive on a per user basis. We have multiple departments and each department uses different websites and tools. For example in our collections department they use facebook to do skip traces on delequinies. All other departments should not be on facebook while on the clock.

No have options putting on TV 50" two o more TV's for analize data like top sites and top aplication separadately

At the beginning it seemed a little confusing to browse in the analytics interface, however it was slowing down a computer where I had it installed, where it advertised it wouldn't slow anything down.

You get to monitor employees's activity and adjust controls as necessary. This really improves production when they know you're watching.

The more employees, the more monitoring. For the most part, when they know you have this, you will have less people violating.

Can be hard to uninstall if you want to remove the software from a PC. Does not record passwords that are being entered.

It wsss simple to setup and the users are not impacted in any way. Kind of best of both worlds. The details received let's me complete audit reports for my compliance review much quicker than before using the product.

I have had a couple of agents stop working and require a reinstall. Having a built-in alert for devices that have not checked in for xxx number of days would be a good addition.

Looks good and have lots of good functionality. Easy setup and configuration. Good and simple Web interface.

Not so good for field service teams. There is a lack of functions for teams like ours that needs to be on field all the time.

The account was easy to setup, as was the agent installation. This was made possible with clear and concise documentation. Also appreciate the flexibility of the reports, and last but least the great support offered even if we're using it within the free license limit.

At times I found the organization of the reports and categories a little cumbersome, by my own logic and other software used in the past, but this might be down just to personal preference.

Have to go manually install on machine. Not a huge deal breaker, but does require to find a time to install on the machines you want to track.

The screenshot capability makes it a breeze to see what a user is really doing. Productivity tracking is helpful when just doing a quick check of worker performance! Web site filtering and exceptions are great. Software use is spot on!

Catches windows OS files as unproductive at times. These background services should be added to excluded items by default.

Provides a quick snapshot of productivity. Easy to implement and customer service has been easy to work with.

I wish it was just a bit easier to dive deeper into "views" on a individual basis. Easy to work with.
