I love this free HIPAA compliant video tool to use with my psychotherapy clients. The free version allows me unlimited 60 min sessions! It's wonderful.

The only issue is very minor. There is a reverberation the first few seconds when you join, but it disappears sometimes before even saying hello.

It would be nice if clients were able not to get our telehealth calls briefly interrupted by their phone calls. when we lose audio/visual for about 15-20 seconds, even when they do not answer the call. This may be a setting for client's on their phone and not doxy.em.

When Doxy works, it works well. When it doesn't it's over. We can sign on and off and there are times when it just won't work. At that point, we to use the phone.

I like that Doxy is fully HIPAA compliant. That really drove my decision to purchase. I also like that I can count on my hand how many times in 4 years I have had a technical issue with Doxy, and on those times it was really easy to get tech support.

I can't say that there's anything I don't like about Doxy. It just takes a while to play with all the functions before you learn the full capacity of it (e.g., the white board, screen sharing functions), but I wouldn't call that a bad thing.

I started using Doxy.me during the pandemic when we all had to scramble quickly to move from in person to online. I've found the platform to be very easy to use for me as well as for clients.
I continue to use the free version as I am not working as much and don't need the extra features.

I have no complaints other than occasionally the meeting history gets lost when the call ends abruptly (internet outages happen).

I love how easy it is for both my clients and me to use the Doxy platform. My favorite feature on Doxy is the File Share link. I use a lot of handouts and I after Screensharing during session, I can share the handout without having to send a separate email.

Sometimes after Screensharing certain video clips my clients can no longer see me when I return to the home screen/dashboard.

It's affordability continues to give clinicians like me a secure space to carry out our important work without worrying about data leaks and privacy violations.

I love everything about Doxy. The price, the ease of use, the ability to communicate with patients en mass via waiting room announcements, and the ability for my patients to come into the waiting room for links to coping skills and important research documents. I can collect payments right through Doxy via Stripe, collect patient feedback via Dokbot, share information via screen share, and file transfer. Doxy provides analytics and meeting histories, and connects you will tools like therapeutic exercises with reminders, group calls, and electronic teleconsent with signatures.

Nachteile

Honestly, there's nothing I "like least". I would say the one thing I would consider an improvement would be to add a reminder sound (ding!), which can be set for each call individually (or not at all) by the provider, to remind both patient and provider that it's time to "wrap it up." And while this would be a wonderful addition, I definitely don't consider it a deal breaker.

The main reasons I chose Doxy are the static address, ease of use, and reliability.

I like how straight forward and easy it is to use. I like the fact that it works as an app or you can still use this service on any web browser and it’s extremely user friendly anyone can use it even with very little tech skills.

The one thing I don’t like is there’s no way of setting up anything to block calls from coming through when using this and when a calls comes through it literally knocks the whole appointment down and kicks me out and I have to start all over. My phone has DND but it doesn’t work all the time.

Free version - allows me to continue to work with the most vulnerable of people, knowing it's secure, HIPAA compliant (although not a thing in the UK, it speaks to the security) and has been more reliable than the paid version of another well-known platform. Thank you doxy - please continue to help us really small helpers who are helping those who can't afford any extra costs.

Doxy.me offers user-friendly features for both clinicians and clients. Clients can join online appointments quickly without downloading. The client clicks one of the specialized link provided by the clinician, enter their details, and waits for the clinician to join. This online experience mirrors waiting in a physical office; however, it is done from the comfort of staying at home. Clients who were initially hesitant about online technology found it easy and convenient, expressing surprise at its simplicity and overall positive experience.

Nachteile

The main drawback is that sometimes I have to ask the client to log out and then log back in if the audio or camera is not functioning. However, these functions usually work fine once the client logs back into Doxy.me.

Doxy is HIPAA compliant, and the platform is easy to use for myself and my clients. Clients do not need to download anything or enter personal information. They click on the secure link that I provide to them. Our connection is reliable unless one of us has WIFI issues (which is not Doxy's fault). I am thrilled with Doxy and feel it is more professional, protective, and secure than other platforms.

It's easy to use and the price is affordable.

It worked fine when we started, but when there was a problem (freezing, audio loss, making sessions frustrating and discouraging clients) Doxy was slow to help though I kept complaining for months. When they finally contacted me directly and worked with me the problem was resolved perfectly. They had said to use Chrome, but now they said use Firefox. The other issue was my ethernet cable which had a problem (I thought ethernet was to be preferred but cables wear out - who'd have guessed?) going over to Wi-Fi then totally fixed it.

I love that I can send patients a link by text or email, and they can use it without downloading any type of app. Its seamless, HIPAA compliant, works every time, and free! Seems almost too good to be true! I'm very appreciative, its been a huge asset to my mental health clinic and private practice.

I use the free version, that doesn't allow me to bring in more than one patient at at time, or share my screen. I'm almost certain the paid version allows it, though. I could always upgrade if I decide its worth it.

The ease of login and use is superior and significant plus for me I used it daily for 8 hours straight during the COVID years and it never failed me. Internet provider now... well that's a different unrelated story. I had regular positive feedback from clients and families about their ease of use and quality.
