Vorteile

It was a free service where I could continue to provide HIPPA compliant counseling. I did become a paying subscriber this year and I am enjoying the new products and services. The quality of the audio/visuals has improved. I am pleased.

Nachteile

The poor audio/visuals. Losing connection and clients and/or me having to log back in. These interruptions were inconvenient and distracting to my clients and me.

Vorteile

Clients don't need to download or install software or know much about computers to be able to use this. Clients don't need to sign up on an email list and can use pseudonyms to check in if that is important to them for on-line work. Works from mobile devices (phones and tablets) as well as computers. HIPAA compliant. FREE for individual users; reasonable price for more bells and whistles.

Nachteile

I am only using the free version for now as I have another therapy software program that does the other functions, so I can't speak to what features it needs, since I am not paying for them/can't use them.Would like a free trial, of even a few days, to evaluate them, and from what I can tell you have to pay and sign up to do that with option of cancelling later. I want to see more clearly what I'd be paying for rather than have to cancel.

Good for most patients; 60yo + often require “talking through” clicking link and sometimes problem solving.

The patient side test call seems to be gone. It was very useful for problem solving and/or avoiding connection problems/delays.

One of the most important features is that it is a HIPAA compliant platform that meets the requirements of the work I do, very user-friendly site for both myself and my clients.

The Clarify of the video can sometimes not be as clear as other platforms, perhaps over time this may be a feature which could be improved.

Honestly, from a therapy perspective this is such an easy and reliable tool that doesn't require a high level of technical understanding from my clients for them to be able to access me. As long as you have the internet you are in business. It is SO simple, confidential, and user friendly!

Doxy.me has always been available. Technical difficulties at the most inconvenient times? I have not experienced a delay in starting the sessions due to upgrades or sort of technical details.

Ease of use and HIPPA compliant. I have the choice to use free or sign up for the custom site when I need to see a group or couple. The pre-call check is very helpful in as much as I don't have anticipated problems once I have pre tested the call.

Sometimes there are glitches. When I have run into difficulties it has taken ,sometimes, a long time to resolve the problem. I have had to communicate with my waiting patient while the issue is being resolved. Most often the issue has been resolved-but not always.

Sometimes I run into technical problems and have to use a different platform. It's no as good as Zoom or FaceTime on the whole-- but it's free and overall quite good.

Doxy. me has allowed me to provide telehealth services to my clients from a platform that is easy to use and easy for my clients to connect with me via a link. It allows me to see when my clients enter my waiting room but also provides me with feedback on the average amount of time, I spend in session with each one of my clients. I love that with the professional version I can provide my couple access for services when they are not able to be in the same space for the session. I love the additional features available, such as changing the background setting and treatment forms, that assist in improving my practice.

I was extremely surprised at how great this video platform was. Because it was free, I was expecting it to have issues and not connect. However, it is so easy to use, not just for me but for my clients also, as they do not need to sign up to be able to join me for a session. I have never had any issues with the actual video either, no buffering or freezing...I'm really impressed.

It's difficult to find something negative. If pushed, I suppose the graphics of the overall design look could be a bit more appealing, but really, what does that matter when you have a product that works so well?

Does not have a Calendar , I am a muti-state therapist, and it would be nice to see my clients I will have in a calendar , instead of going to back Calendar book, which I may not have with me when a potential client calls, if I am not in my office.

On a rare occasion, there may be an instance where I am not able to hear a client and we have to find another method of connecting- but that has been extremely rare of late.

Easy to use and understand, easy for clients, and it has the waiting room so clients can feel like they are present even if user is away briefly. The paid account allows for group sessions, file sharing, and customization to the dashboard/ virtual waiting room.
