The versatility of Animaker is amazing. Being able to create an avatar that is representative of our team members brings them into the presentation. The seemingly endless properties and images available allow for imagination and ease in production. Customer Support was very responsive and helpful when needed. Possibly the best feature of Animaker is the intuitive nature in the software, making for a relatively shallow learning curve.

Nachteile

Inability to convert a presentation created in Animaker to a video format. Animaker allows for power point presentations to be converted to a video, but doesn't allow presentations created in Animaker the same flexibility.

Having a character do all the talking for you to explain long winded processes is excellent. I then go into the detail and explain them in more detail. Being able to animate these situations is such a bonus. Learning by observing is the best learning process.

A one time fee for as many downloads that you want is much better than the tiered pricing that is available. I would rather pay a higher price for one time payment and unlimited downloads than monthly or yearly for only 5 a month.

The platform has a highly intuitive user interface. Any beginner may produce engaging animation material for customers. The library has enough media to create a video in a matter of minutes. The result is phenomenal for entertainment or instructional materials.

Without a doubt, the cost is a concern. Along with expanding the functionality, the library has to grow as well. Although it still needs improvement in many areas, it is an excellent platform for producing animated videos.

I really like that the characters have LOTS of different movement options. I love that I can create my own characters as well with all kinds of options. I also like that some of the extra images also have some default movements. I found it to be very fast in exporting and you don't have to wait while it exports. You can do other things. Having the text to speech built right in is a plus. Other software packages that I have used don't offer nearly the amount of options.

The tutorials could be a little more clear. It has a bit of a learning curve. I wish the animal characters were available on the regular version. I also wish it had an offline version so I could continue to work while away from internet. I wish the text to speech had more voice options and that they sounded a little more human. I am still operating on the free version. Perhaps they are better after paying.

Animaker is the equivalent of how Powtoon was a couple years back. The interface and functionality isn't state-of-the-art, but it gets the job done. The tool enables creators to easily create engaging presentations/videos in a short amount of time. Their specialty is cartoon-themed presentations. Unlike Powtoon, Animaker allows users to actually export their video without upgrading, although it will include a watermark. This is far better than Powtoon's solution, which is to let creators create a stunning video, and then tell them they have to upgrade to download it.

While Animaker is great for the most part, there are some negatives. Transitions aren't seamless - they can be a bit disorienting at times. Also, the preset themes aren't the best. Finally, the site is pretty heavy with graphics, so a slow computer may not be able to handle it. Those are the only negatives I can think of at the moment. Overall, Animaker delivers, even if it's not been updated as recently as Powtoon, its major competitor. Just be aware that in order to produce a high-quality, polished creation, you're going to need to upgrade.

There are a number of bugs I have come across in this software, especially related to rendering. It is not uncommon for the "published" video to be different from what I see in editor mode, which is extremely frustrating. When I download my video, I always have to watch it through again to see if there were any rendering errors. This is not a positive experience for me. I also have issues sharing a video with collaborators via link (rather than email). I have also found that the search function for animations is not very accurate. There are not enough tags associated with each animation. When I scroll through all the animations at once, I often find ones that I would have liked to use but they did not come up in my query. While customer service is very responsive to issues I come across, I would prefer not to have these bugs and issues in the first place.

Honestly, there's not much to like about Animaker when the basic functionality is so unreliable. Even if the features seem promising on paper, they’re overshadowed by constant lagging and crashes. It's hard to appreciate anything when you're stuck refreshing the app and losing progress repeatedly.

I had high hopes for Animaker, but it’s been nothing short of a frustrating experience. The app constantly lags, making it almost impossible to get anything done. Every time I try to create or edit something, it freezes, forcing me to refresh the page and start all over again.

It’s incredibly time-consuming and unproductive, especially when you’re in the middle of a project. The lagging issue has been persistent, and it seems like there’s no fix in sight. For an app that's supposed to make animation easier, it’s doing the complete opposite.

I wouldn’t recommend it unless you enjoy wasting time and pulling your hair out. Disappointed! 👎

Templates leave you wanting more, they're great but maybe you could use a few more, but maybe that's just me wanting to play around with more toys than Animaker already offers. One thing I didn't like, the pricing, although this is something that's happening with all similar software and the merciless and greedy 365 legacy... pay each year, now pay each month, if you pay the hefty price for a year it will save you this much, and if you pay by month, the greed simply shows on how much the price increases. While this happens with every software out there, like copycats of the pricing structure, Animaker seems to be a little greedier than some other options, with the lowest plan being under $13 per month... But NO! wait! that's only if you pay the full year.. . If you need to pay monthly because you can't afford that one big payment, it's going to be twice the price, or almost. $12 and cents vs $24 usd. (ouch, that doesn't show a "discount" or saving as it's presented, it just shows that the software is at least 50% overpriced) Unfortunately that's become the norm for almost every software out there, those that stand out, are the ones that don't treat their customers as suckers who don't know better.

I love how Animaker was very easy to use. I created a lesson plan with many objectives with no problem. The images were clear, and the voiceovers are amazing! Overall, the presentation was neatly laid out and made everything so much easier.

Sometimes there is lag, bugs editing. Fairly pricey, and they break AI features into other products like Steve.AI and hit you for upgrades to higher levels. More complex move animations aren't documented well, and no forums to review how others have achieved certain effects.

Animaker is one of the most unique tools I ever came across. It is very versatile and easy to use. In my case, I only needed one afternoon to master it. It has a user-friendly setup and plenty of options to customize your videos.

Most people use Animaker for small school projects. If you create a video with it without the premium, the software will leave a watermark in the video which is very unpleasant. Therefore, I see no point in subscribing to the premium since Animaker is always a one-time tool. It is a non-professional tool, so its quite limited in terms of sound and color control.
