I was impressed by the animations features for presentations. Useful for educational and business purposes, I think is a tremendous help for students with learning disabilities and people who tends to be shy and anxious during public speaking. The avatar can guide the audience while presenting and the voice can be easily recorded or uploaded by the user.

I am still improving my skills with the software, but if I might find a "disadvantage" is the many, many possibilities...someone can gets lost. In the free version there is the Powtoon logo and music at the end of your presentation. It can be annoying.

This is my go-to presentation creation software, far better than Power-Point slides. It is clear they are constantly improving their platform with new features and updates appearing regularly in the system, and I've watched over the years how the platform has continued to improve. I've not been able to find anything comparable in price and features on the market.

Occasionally there is a delay in the uploading of content, likely processing time for information to communicate between servers. Also, I wish there were an improvement on the way to render/download a mp4 file. Currently it renders it on the server and sends an email to download. I wish there were just a simple render/download button available on the program.

It is a very good software to make video marketing or educational videos, extremely easy to use and in relation to price and benefits it has a lot of quality. With it you can make animations without having previous experience, you just need to drag and drop and that's it. The 2d and whiteboard animations as well as the transitions will make you love it. It will save you a lot of time editing and creating content.

I think basically what I don't like is that you have to pay a bit of a price to be able to personalize your branded content. That if you put it on a scale, freelancers or people who start creating content may not be able to afford it. In addition to the fact that Pow Toon has not had an update for a long time, to put it in a big way, and it is lagging behind software like Create Studio.

Lovely software, but one of the cons that I encountered was that when my projects got too large, its seems to use a lot of CPU power because my computer lags.

My assistant was able to make some pretty cool videos very quickly, despite limited technical experience with video creation. The tool presents a variety of diverse characters with stock animations for different moods or actions (e.g., explaining, gesturing angrily, looking bored). The audio recording tool allows you to retry if you're unhappy with a take, and was reasonably painless to use. The animations were simple to string together but more visually interesting than what you can produce in PowerPoint.

We created a lesson plan for instructors to use where the learners responded using PowToon projects, and these were a hit. It gives them an alternative way to communicate their ideas and again, is quite easy to use.

Nachteile

We were not using the pro version of the tool, so we were limited in access to characters, scenes and icons. That said, the free version provided a very smooth experience. If you do not upgrade, there will be a PowToon logo and music appended to your video, and some animations will have limited customizability (e.g., a character animation may loop ad nauseum).

It is also easy for a junior designer to get caught up in the capabilities of the tool and lose focus on the quality and structure of the content. It's easy to add too much irrelevant on-screen animation and so detract from your message.

Ease of Future Maintenance/Update: The way Powtoon's interface is designed allows for ease of future edits. You can easily swap in/out vectors/audio/texts if your video ever needs an update in the future.

Minor Glitch: Sometimes, objects (vectors, geometric shapes) would move to the wrong place by mouse drags. This is more of a minor nuisance than a real problem.
Lack of Audio Editing Feature: It has very little audio-editing capability. Because it has a built-in voice-over recording feature, this feature would be more useful if audio editing ability can be available.

I have been using this software for 5 years to produce high quality, professional looking animated explainer videos. There are a lot of different character styles and assets style like 2D, whiteboard, infographic, live to choose from. They provide the too and it's open to your imagination. New features added constantly that make this software very versatile.

Enfin je n'ai toujours pas réussi à changer de musique en cours d'exécution et je note aussi que les copier/coller sont capricieux, je ne sais pourquoi.

En lo que he podido utilizar esta herramienta, me parece que es muy buena opción si se desea hacer entretenidos videos o presentaciones muy creativas, ya que cuenta con muchas opciones que ayudan a poder crear contenido de manera mucho más original que en las herramientas que se usan tradicionalmente. Esto, ayuda mucho a captar más la atención del público.

La desventaja que veo de esta herramienta es que no se puede estar editando si no está conectado a una red WiFi o a datos móviles, además de que no es colaborativa, cosa que ayuda mucha veces a agilizar la elaboración.

I've used Powtoon since 2014. It's gotten better because they're always keen on getting feedback and making the product better, and listening to what we want in the software. They have good customer service so problem solving is quick. You can put your videos in folders, which helps when you have so many. I have a teacher package so cheap. You can also make powerpoint/slide shows.

Branding in corner of film and at end, but I get a cheaper deal because of this . Business deals don't have the branding.

I liked how straightforward the use of the product was. I created 10-12 videos in a two-week span that were all ~60sec animated videos for usage in video advertising. It was very easy to learn, the platform auto-saves your progress so there's no fear of losing information, and it saves your video in whatever format you require. The templates are typically all I needed for videos, so I didn't have to start from scratch on any of my ideas. It has been a good experience and I will use the tool whenever we need to create a quick animated short!

The pricing was a bit confusing. We initially signed up for a base tier where we thought we'd have more functionality based on the description. When we got into the system we realized that immediately we'd need to upgrade from "Lite" to "Professional" in order to get the most out of the system and templates. We needed to remove watermarks and unlock key features, so we jumped to Pro. It wasn't outrageous to jump in price, but it was a snag as we had to get the new cost approved again internally.

Pero para un nivel básico o intermedio, es bastante adecuado.

This is an outstanding app that I've used and is still using since it has powerful customizable templates for designing cartoon storyline. As opposed to just comic style speech bubble presentation, this brings more life to it than the old school approach. Although it still works, the this new approach works better and provides more life - but most of all, an eye catcher to the social media age of today.

I like this app because it provides a lot of customizable templates for characters, backgrounds, props, images, and other elements. All of them are customizable down to changing the character's gender and outfit, sceneries that change as your storyline progresses, moving objects like cars and buses, including other animated elements like traffic lights and blinking lights. In addition, you have several audio to choose from to fit the storyline, and has several zoom/pan effect for added touch.

In my opinion, your own imagination is the only thing that hinders you from getting into your end product. If you're stuck, you can always do a Google lookup and find ideas from other Powtoon animations to keep you going with your project. As far as loading times are concerned, there is no lag at all even if the elements already stack up.

My favorite feature in this application is really the screen recording. In addition, you can add your avatar by taking your camera from your computer and it will show you in a circle with your video and you can give relevant content to your users while browsing your product (for us it's a web application ). It is a perfect tool for making training and explanatory videos. I also like the fact that there are many templates that allow me to make videos in just a few minutes and quite easily.

I had some difficulties with the platform. First of all, I bought the pro+ plan for our company and when I wanted to make a Christmas video, the songs were not available to add to my video, because it mentioned that it was only for those who had the pro plan. I mentioned the issue to support and two weeks later I still haven't heard from them.
