Procare has a variety of features that help ease some of the operations of a child care center. Classroom tracking for schedules, electronic payments for tuition, contact information for parents are just a few of the great features.

Nachteile

Sometimes there are specific reports that I would like to run and have difficulties doing so. The customer support also takes a while to get back to you.

the numbers dashboard was the best part, being able to see everything in one area was super helpful when needing a quick peek at specific things like # of people in classrooms!

i think procare was made in mind with 1 specialized person using the system always & not multiple people with basic knowledge coming in and using daily which is what I would assume most places have happening.

I love Procare because of the ease of communication and access for parents and the provider. The Procare team walks you through how to use the platform and are available should questions arise.

I would like to be able to upload my own pre-created documents into the platform (I.e. newsletters, registration forms, etc.). Sometimes it’s a hassle to have to create things with the limited options on Procare.

We haven't yet talked our [sensitive content hidden] into the online payments and that frustrates some of our parents. Also - some of the reports that were available on the desktop version are not available on the cloud version. I need some of those reports!

It is an all in one app that has many features for the staff and management to utilize on a daily basis. Parent's enjoy the app and how user friendly it is.

Nachteile

There is nothing that the staff and management dislike about Procare. Staff has mentioned other programs they have utilized at their previous employment and how limited they were compared to Procare.

*Able to see how many children are checked into each individual class at a moment's notice with one glance

That there is no way a parent can give an electronic signature on needed paperwork.

I love how attendance and billing are all wrapped into one! It is so nice to be able to use the formula billing to calculate what parents owe and email directly to them. We recently started using the online payment function and I know parents also appreciate that option. There are so many reports available, we hardly have even scratched the surface of everything we can do!

It is expensive but for the most part, worth the cost. I do wish we had the ability to delete previous families when they are done in our program but that is not an option. Not a deal breaker but something I'd like to see change.

Layout is user friendly, can sign my kiddo in and out from my vehicle without having to scan the QR code which is a timesaver.

When being sent a photo, you can't reply in original message thread. You have to send a message separately.

I like that sibling accounts link to each other, but there should be options to change things on once sibling without it changing on the other. This would be especially helpful for unique family situations.

I really love that my Childcare Centers don't have to use paper. The parents gets updates all the time about there children whether its a picture or notes.

The least I don't like about it is really nothing. If we have a problem we will call and they will fix the problem they are good about the quick response

The parent app for communicating with the parents is the bomb! Our center has been using ProCare for over 20 years. We use it for everything and just love it.

Procare Solutions has significantly streamlined our childcare management processes. As a director of a nature-based preschool, I appreciate the comprehensive features that Procare offers. The software covers everything from enrollment and attendance tracking to billing and parent communication. The user-friendly interface ensures that even those less tech-savvy can navigate the system with ease.

Nachteile

The reports function does not always allow us to create the reports that I am hoping for or in a reader/use friendly manner. For example, the billing reports are some what confusing and do not always meet our needs.

Vorteile

It is a very efficient way to maintain our records of students and especially helpful having different data points to run reports. We can add potential students on a waitlist, print off emergency forms school wide and maintain current rollcall sheets.

It is a very user friendly system our schools have been happy with using this program.

Procare is very easy to use! From entering a new lead, to entering a new child or staff, each step is easy to do. Families and staff love how easy it is to use and share information throughout the day!

What I like most is the ease of entering. I enjoy the billing/invoicing feature as well as record keeping. It’s pretty simple to generate year end reports and use those for tax time.

The only negative I can think of is when a child uses the potty you cannot select that they voided and had a BM at the same time.

When it comes to the technical problems with both software and hardware involved, there is no technician directly from procare to fix the problem. For instance, the door entry system, it is very hard to coordinate an electrician and the technician of procare on the same time. And it has been 3 years, and our door system is not fixed due to the complication.

Draft Newsletters are viewable by all staff. Newsletters should be separated by folder per class/group to make it easier to find. Admin. need to be able to note who could see it. Newsletters should be able to be viewed on the app.
Icons are needed for labelling children and families should not allowed to remove parents.

We do not use it for the full capacity it is intended, but the ease of use could not be any better.

Nachteile

That you can only send one attachment per email, and there is no way to bold, highlight, or underline words in the body if an email. Even if a copy and paste is done with these features, when it is pasted, those features go away.

To get information you have to click on several different pages because they each have different information you need. It doesn’t alert you when there subsidy runs out. They just raised there rates by 20 a month, that’s a huge jump in price.
