Vorteile

One of the best features for me is the Parent Communication app. I can send updates, photos, and messages to parents throughout the day, which keeps them in the loop and reassured about their child’s day. The parents love it, and I can tell the kids enjoy seeing their progress reports too!

Nachteile

nothing, there is not one bad thing I can say about this app.

I like being able to message with parents and to see the billing status of each family.

As the director, I can't message privately with parents. I also wish that the desktop version and the online version could work together. I had used the desktop version previously and liked some features very much, they made my job easier.

We use Procare to keep attendance, keep track of allergies and immunizations, it also runs our billing. Parents also have access online to their children's hours and record. Its a wonderful program.

Nachteile

We used to have problems with our fingerprint scanner but since we upgraded we've had no issues.

Easy to invoice & collect quickly- 99% of collections are electronic & happen in a few days. Reports have useful data.

In the beginning the support was not good. It is much better now - only has a few issues this year & they were resolved quickly

We purchased Procare primarily for the attendance tracking and incident tracking features. We LOVE it. It makes our jobs so much easier as we were doing these processes by hand.

On one occasion during the first 6 months of school, the system wasn't working and we had to do attendance by hand. It wasn't a big deal.

Procare software has been an essential tool in our early childhood center for over 12 years. Its user-friendly interface makes registration and maintaining electronic student files straightforward, while the automatic billing feature has greatly streamlined our financial processes. The software’s tracking tools for immunizations and physicals help us stay compliant, and the wide range of customizable reports, like birthdays and immunizations due, helps us stay organized.

Nachteile

I wish there was a better system for our out-of-school learning program; currently, parents need to register for each camp and re-register every school year, and there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to manage that. Additionally, for our early childhood side, the Parent Connect app did not work as well as another child care management software, so we are paying for two different systems.

Beautiful interface, app is great! Ease of use in most areas (billing areas could use more features) but overall the system is very simple to us and set up. We've also had great success with the help center. Always available and quick to respond!

Nachteile

Having to flip through different screens in billing to gather necessary information. I would be great to have some additional filters to filter in and out billing information and invoices. For example Tuition billing vs. Attendance billing

We use Procare to not only send real time communication to parents but also as administrators we get to see a snapshot of each classrooms day. Parents rave about the ability to see daily updates and pictures of their child when they have to be away at work.

Sometimes we have issues with the app right around the time there is an update. The issues are usually resolved quickly.

nothing much really. You do always have to stay up to date on their improvments and their is alot to learn since the program offers sooo many different attributes but the training it has is extensive and complete.

Procare Solutions helped streamline our daily operations. We use it for tuition invoicing, payment processing, business accounting, tracking requirements, parent engagement, and communication.

Nachteile

If I were looking for an area for Procare Solution to improve, I wish it had the capability of generating CACFP-specific forms, similar to KidKare, such as production records. For this reason, I do not utilize Procare's meal-tracking feature.

If not, I wish there were the option to sync Procare and KidKare, as I use Procare to type our menus but then have to input everything again in Procare, such as the meals and estimated attendance.

Limited newsletter background designs/colors. Wish there was a way for families to send us pictures.

Vorteile

Procare is always trying to improve and add new features. Their online videos are always available and easily understood. We appreciate that when they are looking to implement something new we are able to be part of the Beta version and give feedback. Especially appreciated that Procare listens to our feedback.

Nachteile

There are some simple functions that we would like (for example - a place to put our own school calendar or other notices that parents can just view when they need. Additionally, a ProCare message or email alert that a parent has uploaded a document for our review. HOWEVER, we understand that they can't always implement what we feel is needed.

The need to be linked between the desktop version and the cloud version, it is not immediately updated and the cloud does not always have all the information the older desktop version .

ProCare offers a very user friendly way to interact with parents - take attendance with name to face - and offer insight on day to day activities that children are doing.

The one thing I wish ProCare could do - was allow children to be registered for events - like a week of summer camp here and there or a ballet program. I wish parents could click somewhere in there profile to view all the things they can register for without me having to create a manual invoice. So when they register - the invoice autogenerates.

Procare makes my life easier to run my center. I love the billing part, I set it up and hardly have to think about it. I can check on my classrooms' numbers without even leaving the office. My team and I can check in with parents throughout the day with ease.

The emergency contact pages that we print are nice, but I would like to be able to add information or have more options. I would like to be able to print my Leads page, this can help me see who is on it and when they want to start.

-No reports/forms tailored to our state licensing regulations. The information is already in the system, it just needs to be applied to the appropriate form.
-When ending a child's schedule, if on subsidy, their picture is removed from the invoices generated for them in the system making it difficult to enter payments when received.

It does make the day to day needs of the center much easier for the teachers in communicating with the parents. the posting of the days adventures is a plus when it comes the parents. They do express how much they enjoy the pictures

some times it takes a bit of time to load. We have had a few times when parent said they couldn't sign in.

The software is complete and accounts for most of the needs to run your child care business. Regular updates in the software are very good and take into account the customer suggestions. Very good tech team.

Customer service phone wait times are horrible. The limitations we encountered with using the cloud and desktop versions was frustrating. The flexibility of reports could be much better.

There are alot of options and I think it has alot to offer, this is my personal opinion. I have been looking for a app that checks off all my boxes, this one has majority of them but a few things missing. the price is much more afforable then alot of the apps out there and you get way more.

I REALLY Wish it had a EXPENSE Section, This would be a game changer. The customer support is not the best. I emailed them about pricing and never got a response. Even the little messager box help is very slow. for anyone who is a visual learner it would be great if there were more short videos to help guide you. I believe there are alot more feature with partnered apps but was confused how to do this, not very user friendly for people who get confused easy with technology.

Procare is an amazing app that notifies me of what my child is eating for breakfast/snacks/lunch and when he is napping. It is super convenient to have because I love knowing how he is doing throughout the day and know what he completed.

One thing that I do not enjoy is that it does not allow you to enter in both parent information from the app and that you need to contact the center to do it. It would be a lot better if this feature was made so that the parents can enter their information themselves rather than waiting for the center to do it.

ProCare has been our system of choice in the centers I have Directed. From Oklahoma to South Caroline. We use all the products available. Desktop - check in computer and door opener. This last year we have used Learning Beyond Paper and the ProCare Parent communication app.

Nachteile

The fees for credit card processing through Tuition Express would be the thing that keeps it from being the perfect childcare software. But 4 stars is still really great.
