ProCare has made communication with our parents super easy and convenient for our teachers! Daily reports are sent to our parents on the app and clock in and out for teachers is made super easy!

Nachteile

So far there is nothing I don't like from ProCare.

Photos and notes are not in albums or files so you have to scroll back in activities to see them.

When filtering the student screen, and you ask for a certain data set, such as kids who arrive early AND come to school Tu/Th you will get all the kids who arrive early OR all the kids who come to school Tu/Th instead. I need to be able to see the subset of kids who meet both conditions, not either condition.

The customer service is amazing. They are quick to respond and help you use the software to best benefit your needs.

There’s not really a “least” but if I had to pick I would say that there is so much at your fingertips that it’s hard to use every feature.

I like that I am able to communicate with the parents vis the app, send pictures, and receive messages from them daily.

It took a bit to learn the site. I also wish i could upload my own pdf to send to the families instead of using their templates

Still figuring out the parent portal and attendance tracking. I am also trying to learn about keeping more digital files versus so much paper in office.

We started using procare when we were a small center with only 10 kids but since then we have grown to 3 centers with over 90 kids. Procare makes it super easy to navigate and have everything at your fingertips. It is easy to understand & very user friendly. Issues (when they rarely arise) are handled very swiftly & we can always talk to someone if we need to!

The changing between centers is a little clunky & needs a little work on integration.

Game changer for billing! Super easy to use and doesn't leave large amounts of cash/checks laying around.

We are using the cloud version and sometimes it takes a long time to boot up, understandable it's looking for updates, but sometimes it's stressful waiting while a parent is trying to pay.

Since the cloud was created for Parent Engagement it is so much easier to share information with the parents.

The set up can take some time, if you don't have the information added to the desktop

Sometimes it can take a while (same day, just a long hold time) to get a hold of tech support, but they always resolve the issue quickly.

We use the basic ProCare software pkg. for accounting and keeping track of our Before/After School Daycare Program attendance. We did try the iCloud, Family Engagement and Tuition Express options but didn't need those after all right now. If we continue to grow or transition to a ChildCare Center we will go back to the subscription model versus free basic package.

Nachteile

iCloud should be included in basic pkg versus a paid subscription in case I need to access ProCare from home or another site/setting.

The ease of lesson plans for 3/5 of my classrooms.

The infant and toddler lesson plans could be more detailed.

I love how easy it is to use. Parents are able to clock their children in and out very easy.

I wish that our touchscreen could be updated and not have to buy a brand new one, but that is a very minor complaint

There was a feature that was added about two years ago that I didn't like but was edited and deleted. It was with regard to being signed on and timed out too quickly.

Our school utilizes many aspects of the Procare platform. We have done away with paper registrations and now use Procare solely for our registration process, enrollment, and tuition processing. During Covid, we began using features that we hadn't used before; such as the parent engagement app. That has become a crucial part of our program.

Nachteile

The registration process for enrollment was difficult to set up; however, a specialist talked us through. Sometimes something won't work (such as importing a student) and it takes calling customer service to figure out where the glitch lies because it is not easily detected.

It’s easy to use and has everything you need.

Not being able to add lesson plans in the APP. Not being able to use their clock in computer with Mac. It does not work well with state aid kids and sending their info to the state.
